22/08/2026: visit Barletta once a year but I go to l’Antica Cucina twice. By far the best restaurant in town - excellent cuisine, very attentive service and good wine list. My personal favorites include the raw seafood plate, the octopus, the happy egg as well as the truffle fettuccine, the spaghetti with seafood, the fried fish (paranza), and, if you are more daring, the nghiumarelle (off the menu grilled lamb intestines). The staff is very helpful with recommendations - they will set up sharing plates for you and your party if you want a little bit of everything - which is a nice idea for your first time there. The owner - Lello - is a Barletta institution and he will make you feel right at home. Definitely a must go dining destination if you are in town!

08/08/2026: Absolutely perfect. A very warm welcome and attentive service throughout the meal (a bonus for us: the waiter spoke French!). And what can I say about the food? A delight, a pure pleasure! Excellent fish, seafood, and delicate sorbets for dessert. All at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it!

23/08/2026: A very refined place, very centrally located, opposite Palazzo della Marra. Let's start with the specialized and very helpful staff. Whether gourmet or traditional, everything is delicious, with excellent ingredients, fresh fish and seafood, and generous portions. I was there for a cousin's birthday dinner. They came from Turin and were blown away. I made a great impression, but I had no doubts.

22/08/2026: By chance my wife and I went from Como, welcomed in an excellent manner, they gave us a table and served us in no time, heavenly food extraordinarily good as well as their wine, very professional and lively waiters, the owner in complimenting the chef compliments the young waiters in a very human relationship (extraordinary man) if I ever return to Barletta, a beautiful city, I will return to the old bakery very willingly, well done, well done, well done

The welcome entrée was good, but unfortunately there was a bit too much focaccia... 😣... the prices were a bit high... fried seafood €43... cover charge €14 for two... green salad €8... I'd go back just for the service I received!

02/08/2026: Quality food, beautiful setting, friendly staff. The menu isn't very clear in my opinion, and you'll need to ask the wait staff without knowing the prices. The dishes are sophisticated, so don't expect to eat Italian classics. This isn't meant as a criticism, but restaurants like this have to be liked, and I personally don't. Prices are high, in line with the type of restaurant.

Initially, I read the name "osteria" (from the word "tavern" and the fair price and quality), but inside, I found myself in a seemingly upscale restaurant. The menu was very limited, with little choice, and the prices weren't exactly those of a tavern. I was also very disappointed by the quality of the food and the flavors, which were far from what I'd expected from the menu. It's a shame, however, that the restaurant is very beautiful, thanks to its garden. I wouldn't recommend it.

31/07/2026: An elegant location with a truly charming internal garden. The fish is absolutely fresh: dishes are prepared to perfection. The service is impeccable, attentive, and very professional. The prices are medium-high, but entirely commensurate with the excellent quality of the ingredients and the attention to every detail. Highly recommended!
