08/08/2026: Absolutely perfect. A very warm welcome and attentive service throughout the meal (a bonus for us: the waiter spoke French!). And what can I say about the food? A delight, a pure pleasure! Excellent fish, seafood, and delicate sorbets for dessert. All at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it!
05/08/2026: During our stay in Trani, we were fortunate enough to try this restaurant! Excellent, high-quality food, with gluten-free versions of every dish also available. The staff was attentive, qualified, and welcoming. Highly recommended!

In addition to the dining room, they have several tables in an internal courtyard.
Attentive service.
We each had an appetizer and a first course. The bill for two people was €67, and everything was delicious.
13/06/2026: A lovely restaurant, offering sophisticated dishes based on locally sourced ingredients, along with a selection of fine wines. The staff is friendly and helpful. A good restaurant worth checking out if you're in the area.

The welcome entrée was good, but unfortunately there was a bit too much focaccia... 😣... the prices were a bit high... fried seafood €43... cover charge €14 for two... green salad €8... I'd go back just for the service I received!

Each dish is a perfect balance between innovation and respect for the raw materials, transforming simple ingredients into an explosion of sophisticated flavors. Every bite reveals meticulous attention to textures and an aesthetic presentation that delights the eye even before the palate.
The service was excellent, with professional, friendly, and attentive waiters, capable of describing each course with passion and expertise.
10/05/2026: Vecchio Forno restaurant never disappoints. We've been going there for about 20 years and it's never disappointed. This time, too, we had a truly excellent lunch. Impeccable service as always, thanks to our longtime waiter Tommaso and the new staff: well done everyone. Kudos to Angelo for the quality and consistency. Keep up the good work!

07/01/2026: Aside from the price (€80 per person), the negative thing that most influenced this review was the waiter's response to the request for a discount. He said, "The discount at the supermarket." There are many ways to respond, and in a crowded place, a loud response like that wouldn't even be given in a dive... the food was good, but for that price, I'd prefer something else.
P.S. After the review, I was contacted by the owner who made some strange allusions to our status. I hope he doesn't do that to everyone who goes and has a bad experience... I'm reposting the previously flagged and obscured review.

23/07/2026: This restaurant is amazing- it would deserve a Michelin Star and you get this with a fraction of the cost.
If you are a good connaisseur this place is a must try, especially their tasting menu (which in preparation, creativity and execution is sits a level higher than their amazing a la carte items).
Everything is extremely well made while keeping a traditional feel.
Also the service was above par. They offered for us to taste a couple of different wines they suggested (from a wide list)as they saw us undecided and they did this very happly and accommodatingly
I would have give it 6 stars if I could have.
23/07/2026: My wife and I returned to Barletta after almost two years and stopped at my favorite restaurant. At Antica Cucina, I found the same atmosphere, the same excellent products, and the wonderful welcome that, every time, made me feel at home. What more can I say? A well-kept restaurant, always clean, exquisitely prepared dishes, discreet and attentive wait staff, and simply exceptional hosts! I recommend it to everyone for a business lunch or dinner, with family, for special occasions, or even, as I often did in the past, alone. Also because, in this restaurant, you're never alone; you feel welcomed like family. I thank everyone again for making us feel at home while enjoying local delicacies. See you soon!

The fish is absolutely fresh: dishes are prepared to perfection.
The service is impeccable, attentive, and very professional. The prices are medium-high, but entirely commensurate with the excellent quality of the ingredients and the attention to every detail. Highly recommended!

28/07/2026: Through a very dear friend of mine I found in this very comfortable restaurant a friendly welcome, very kind and professional staff with Nicola and Leonardo who recommended me the best of the local specialties fried cod and fettuccine with fresh fish, revisited tiramisu and an excellent glass of wine 🍷 rose .. grilled sea bass with potatoes I highly recommend

04/07/2026: The food is really good, but beware of the owner who brings you dishes you didn't order, claiming they were a taster for us to try, but then he still added them to our bill. He sold us a tasting menu we didn't ask for. Maybe I would have chosen à la carte, knowing I was eating and paying accordingly.
We spent way too much, and honestly, I wouldn't go back.
18/06/2026: I just finished dinner at this wonderful place. The staff was friendly, attentive to detail, and very helpful... the fish was excellent... I don't know how else to recommend it, but if you don't come, you'd be missing out on the best.
Mr. Sergio is truly a wonderful person.

12/07/2026: The place is beautiful but poorly maintained. The beach is dirty, and the shower is cold (€0.50 per token). Lunch consisted of a (frozen) hamburger patty with pre-made condiments, which was served piled high with ketchup, and the burger was still cold inside. Really awful.
28/06/2026: I have been a customer of this beach for 6 years, I have seen different managements, but this last one is really Top, hygiene and cleanliness of the bathrooms very well taken care of, helpful and friendly and organized staff, very well-kept environment 💯
