06/01/2026: A very nice restaurant with a great location. Unfortunately, the owner's behavior (who also works as a waiter) is unbecoming of a restaurant of this type. His curt responses, somewhat rude demeanor, and brusque gestures when carrying dishes to the table seem to me to be a lack of etiquette and good manners. The wine was good (a Verdeca, priced at €20), and after the bottle I ordered a glass of the same wine, but he served me a less-than-average version for €6! (despite confirming it's the same wine). The mixed grill of octopus, cuttlefish, and prawns was a bit rubbery, and the pear and ricotta tart was excellent.
06/01/2026: We expected more from this restaurant based on the recommendations we received... Good food, but nothing special. Poor value for money, the restaurant opens late, and in our case, we even had to wait because it opened a little later than normal.
Octopus salad, two first courses, water, and house wine, €60!

08/01/2026: I ate at this restaurant at the end of December, during a tour of Puglia, and it was definitely the best quality. I had excellent raw seafood and the best fish-based first course I've ever tasted (spaghettoni aglio olio and tartare di gamberi con taralli crumbs).
My friends had a first course with freshly caught scorpion fish and one with red mullet of the day (ask them before choosing).
The tuna tartare was exceptional.
Everything was very good, including the desserts.
Impeccable and very friendly service.
It cost €42 each, so very reasonable.

05/01/2026: This restaurant is located on a piazza with a beautiful view. The atmosphere is well-kept and the staff are very helpful and polite. The seafood options are excellent and beautifully presented. They have a beautiful open-view fish counter where they prepare raw fish and open sea urchins and oysters. The prices are in line with the quality offered!
02/01/2026: The food deserves 5 stars. Top-quality ingredients and unsurpassed preparation. Certainly the best meal we had in Italy.
However, the service left much to be desired. Perhaps because we were the only non-Italians and/or not friends of the owners on New Year's Eve, we were completely ignored. No one came to take our order, they didn't leave a wine list, they didn't ask about drinks, nothing. We had to beg someone to attend to us.
And when they saw that we weren't the table that would consume the most, the service got worse... they were only quick to remove the plates (we had to stop them 3 times, as we were still eating) and bring the bill so we could leave quickly.
Unfortunately, our New Year's Eve experience was greatly compromised by the service.

01/01/2026: I'm sorry to leave a negative review. Unfortunately, we had terrible food. The first courses were tasteless, the prawns disgusting. But the icing on the cake was the finale, when they brought you the symbolic Christmas desserts: panettone and pandoro, the cheapest on the market. At least they could have saved that, all for €75 per person. The quality of the ingredients was zero. We won't see each other again.
28/12/2025: A very nice restaurant with plenty of space. The service was impeccable, the food exceptionally good, and the selection of dishes excellent. Highly recommended.

05/01/2026: Fantastic place. We had a wonderful lunch with exceptional service. We always return. The quality of the food was excellent and the fish was incredibly fresh.

Wines to match.
The only downside was the appetizer, which was excellent. For two, it seemed like it was for one person. It felt like I paid double, but it was worth it. No regrets!

31/01/2026: One of the best restaurants in Polignano.
We went for lunch in a well-kept building with an elegant and refined interior dining room, with a view directly out onto the sea from the windows—a truly unique view, absolute silence.
Agnolotti with grouper, mezzemaniche with clams and datterino tomatoes, spaghetti with sbirulina seaweed—each dish was better than the next. The fried calamari was exceptional, light and delicate, a truly superior pleasure after the excellent first courses. The wine list was comprehensive and of excellent quality and variety. The only flaw...but truly unique...at the end of a truly enjoyable seafood meal...mango sorbet...not lemon...absolutely worth a try. Thank goodness the coffee was worthy of a gourmet. The final bill was absolutely affordable considering the quality offered and the first-rate location. An experience definitely worth repeating.

18/01/2026: It's a welcoming place where you can eat truly well. The pizzas are excellent, with light dough and quality ingredients, but the real highlight is the spaghetti all'assassina, a true delicacy, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. Highly recommended!

The place is packed tho, 3-4 tables should be removed because you are sitting with everyone else, someone bumps into your table or chair every minute, the poor waitresses dont have space

07/05/2025: IL SAGITTARIO, l’unico vero classico ristorante di Polignano a Mare, uno di quelli che ormai non esistono quasi più nelle località turistiche ma che, per fortuna, è riuscito a resistere negli anni grazie alla sua capacità di adeguarsi, evolversi ed adattarsi ai tempi restando sempre ancorato alla tradizione…
Nato come un ristorante a 360 gradi (carne, pesce, pizza), oggi ha inclinato la barra del timone leggermente verso un menù di mare con una scelta vastissima ma, conservando comunque le “certezze” che lo hanno reso noto nel tempo come dei primi stupendi ed abbondanti o come le bistecche che potete ammirare in foto o delle ottime pizze (stile barese).
Uno dei pochissimi locali di Polignano che sono riusciti a mantenere i prezzi ad un livello accettabile, anzi onesto, rimanendo punto di riferimento per tante famiglie e grandi (e piccole) tavolate di Amici.
Super Consigliato!
02/04/2025: Per festeggiare la festa delle nostre ladies, siamo stati a pranzo presso il rinomato ristorante di Polignano a Mare "Il Sagittario". Tutto molto buono, portate extra ed un ringraziamento al sig. Domenico titolare del ristorante per aver esaudito le nostre richieste con piatti che non erano inseriti nel menù. Alla prossima!
