Highly recommended! Great food and service! Reasonable prices. The antipasti portion for two is HUGE.

food tasted great, ingredients were fresh and plated very nicely! found the restaurant by accident and all the tables were reserved, but the host found a way to accommodate us and was very kind throughout.

We had octopus salad, orecchiette with red prawns, and tubetto del pescatore for dinner, and everything was delicious. Good service and good prices in a very pretty square. 100% recommended!

The food was passable. The service could be improved (if you bring tubes of pasta, I shouldn't ask for a spoon; if you bring fried food, I shouldn't ask for bread; if I order a side dish, I want it with the main course, not afterward; if I order salad dressing, I expect vinegar and salt in addition to extra virgin olive oil). Okay, maybe the waitress is just starting out.

A seafood trattoria, I'd say very well-known and frequented especially by the residents of Polignano. Few tables available, reservations recommended. We ordered two "Profumi di mare" menus for just €30: seafood appetizer, four courses to share, seafood first course, seafood second course, sorbet, all excellent. We ate there in June 2026 for lunch; the kitchen closed at 2:30 PM.

Restaurant on a beautiful square. To avoid the crowded tourist streets where you feel like you're eating at your neighbor's table. We ordered the Degustazione Profum di Mare menu for €30. A delight, especially the incredibly tender octopus, and for the wine, try the white "La Zita di Polignano". A truly wonderful discovery...

Cuccundeo is a trattoria where you truly feel at home, with its kindness and hospitality, and traditional Apulian cuisine with the flavors of yesteryear, along with dishes revisited by Chef Mario and his entire staff. Excellent value for money.

Osteria La Porta del Levante

20/04/2026: Very friendly staff, helpful and professional. You also get good value for money. I am not giving a 5 for the food because I chose fish and was not convinced of its freshness. It was sticky, didn't smell very fresh, and fell completely apart. Since I didn't get sick from it, I am not sure if it was me or the fish ;-) The mussels and other seafood my table companions had were super tasty and fresh, though. We also moved on a bit faster because it was very noisy inside and everyone was sitting very close together. Maybe do something about the acoustics?

25/07/2026: The quality of the food is fine (delicious and extensive aperitif, see photos), friendly service, beautiful rustic stone inside but nothing special. All in all worth it, but not exceptionally special.
19/07/2026: Everything was delicious, in a pleasant atmosphere, and at very fair prices. The waitress was very kind when we mentioned we were vegan: she told us the dishes could be modified, so we could remove cheese or meat from the non-vegan entrees (which were plenty anyway). So we ordered three entrees and some vegetables as an appetizer, and everything was truly delicious. They offered us some delicious focaccias as an appetizer (and they were plentiful and large, not just small bites), and also sugared almonds to accompany our coffee. The atmosphere is family-friendly and friendly. The price is very reasonable.
