24/11/2024: 4 of us were there on a Saturday evening, the place was not full, simple, like a high-class trattoria, without having consulted the menu already with water (tapped) we had spent €4 each (cover charge €3.20 with homemade breadsticks, excessive) varied menu without a precise line (first and second courses of fish, meat, even pizza) almost all good with small (gourmet restaurant type) and expensive portions, extensive and out of scale wine list, a wine to 5/6€ at the supermarket proposed at 24€, so 4 dishes, 2 desserts and wine cost very high and still hungry when you leave...good service though!

20/11/2024: happened for lunch, it's not a place I would return to. at the reception, you are asked if you want a midday menu or an à la carte menu, giving an answer to this question without knowing the proposals remains a bit difficult, once the à la carte option has been chosen, we are directed to a room , if we had chosen paper we would have been placed in a different room and in my opinion this is not nice to look at. proposed menu at 16 euros, we opt for just one dish and order a bottle of wine and two desserts, thus seeing ourselves without knowing it teleported into the choice of menu card. account in my opinion not justified in terms of amount. failed lunch experience.

15/12/2024: Il locale si trova in un'angolo di grande vantaggio soprattutto con il bel tempo; dispone anche di un parcheggio. L'accoglienza è molto cordiale e l'atmosfera in se gradevole e ci si sente sicuramente coccolati e in gradevole atmosfera. Il menù è improntato al 90% sul pesce con una minima alternativa. La carta dei vini è anche abbastanza nutrita. I piatti non sono sempre ben preparati anche se poi il cibo risulta di gradevole gusto. Il servizio è sicuramente una delle cose da migliorare, manca un po' di attenzione in più verso il cliente e manca da parte del servizio il pensiero di essere più disponibile verso il cliente e le sue aspettative. Trovo anche un po' fuori misura alcuni prezzi che non hanno nessuna attinenza con la sostanza di quanto servito. Il livello di spesa in generale è in ogni caso un po' sopra la media .

27/10/2024: Mi trovo disallineato come le valutazioni di altri frequentatori del locale. Innanzitutto rispetto ad anni fa e' calato complessivamente. Nelle ultimo occasioni poi devo dire che non ricordo un piatto particolare che mi abbia colpito. Bella location, forse un po' old style . Servizio buono . Conto salato e su questo non c è da discutere francamente

22/11/2024: Sono sempre molto critico sulla ristorazione gallaratese, perché spesso i prezzi non sono giustificati dalla qualità dei piatti. Al Wood, in diverse occasioni, a pranzo, a cena e anche in occasione di una festa privata, ho sempre apprezzato sia il servizio che i piatti, molto curati anche in occasione del menu del pranzo.

13/11/2024: We chose to have a giropizza because there were twenty of us so we could all eat together but it was useless. Long waiting times and long pauses between one pizza and another. Not special pizza and starting from the simplest. Very homely environment.

15/12/2024: Non è la prima volta che ceniamo in questo ristorante, ma questa volta non siamo rimasti pienamente soddisfatti. Il locale è sempre molto affollato, quindi il servizio non è stato dei migliori, ma questo può starci. Abbiamo ordinato tre pizze, tra cui una vegetariana. Su quest'ultima ho il dubbio che le verdure utilizzate non fossero fresche o perlomeno non preparate di recente, in particolare i peperoni. Sicuramente è stato un errore non chiedere ulteriori delucidazioni al riguardo.

13/12/2024: Ristorante visitato più volte prima o dopo i voli da Mapensa e siamo sempre rimasti soddisfatti, anche in periodi di gran caos dovuto alla stagione turistica o ai sabati sera.

03/12/2024: AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE FROM ALL POINTS OF VIEW The Le Arcate restaurant was a real surprise! It's true: we arrived on a Monday evening, certainly not the busiest day of the week for a club. And so we had the service and kitchen completely at our disposal... But, beyond the lucky moment for my wife and me, everything we experienced in those hours was truly very beautiful and good. First of all, a courteous, friendly and always very attentive service. The cuisine is excellent, the dishes are simple but all well executed, with great respect for the raw materials and the cooking methods. The tartare with black truffle and the fried artichokes in batter are excellent. The first courses were very good: both my wife and I had ravioli with porcini mushrooms, butter and sage with truffle. For the second course, an excellent steak and sardines for my wife. Excellent desserts: the red fruit caramelized apple with vanilla cream was, according to my wife, the best she had ever eaten! I found the creme brulee with caramel and crunchy really delicious. The prices are excellent and in any case very interesting, for being in the province of Varese. The place is very nice, perhaps slightly outdated but, I must say, I don't mind this type of atmosphere. Among other things, I really appreciated the separate entrance from the room, so that diners are not disturbed by the comings and goings of customers and drafts... The wine list is not very extensive (which I also approve of in a place of this type), but the bottles are chosen with great care. The mark-ups are correct, considering the labels (we bought a Pinot Noir by Elena Walch for 35 euros). In short, an excellent experience, truly unexpected. Thank you with all my heart!

19/11/2024: Raw porcini mushrooms with good parmesan, porcini tagliolini and truffle nothing special, the flavor of the truffle was not noticeable and not even that of the mushrooms, the strongest flavor was that of the butter. COLD environment, in fact I had to eat with my jacket on! Good service

28/08/2024: We ate here 3 times during our 1 week vacation. Absolutely recommended! There is nothing comparable nearby in terms of ambience, service and food. You can eat something unusual and more expensive as well as very inexpensive and still very tasty.

24/11/2024: First courses all available gluten-free, it's a shame that most of the sauces are with cream which makes everything taste the same. You pay a supplement for gluten-free bread, too bad it's just one small sandwich. Positive note for the desserts!

13/11/2024: We went for lunch on Sunday, I have to say I wasn't thrilled. The pasta isn't that great either. I used to go years ago and remembered better foods. A very kind young waitress, the other who followed us was not at all friendly.
