14/07/2024: Spartan location, courteous service, excellent quality raw materials, guitar pasta with seafood carbonara and chopped pistachios, a delicate dish that I recommend, very fresh oysters, very good roasted mussels, very fresh salted pezzogna, too bad the cooking was behind in some places!! I will definitely be back!!

01/09/2024: Booked well in advance and requested table on the terrace which was nice. Food was good, but price and special entre was more than most mains and of course you didn't know this, water and wine wasn't always refilled in a timely manner. Declined water and then was asked again and pretty much forced to order 4Euro water, when we had already ordered a full bottle of wine. The most disappointing part of the experience was when paying we were forced to leave a tip with the waiter saying tip cash or card, when we tried to simply pay the bill total the waiter added 10% tip to an already very expensive bill. Considering we had just had dinner at Don Giovanni in positano the night before which had amazing views, no pressure to tip, no water forced or coperto charge was left quite disappointed with the service and the experience at Da Gemma. Next time would try a different restaurant in amalfi.

31/08/2024: We liked it very much, especially because they brought the sea bass after cleaning it, and because of the polite behavior of the waiters, it can definitely be preferred. It is necessary to make a reservation online in advance

06/08/2024: At the beginning we were greeted nicely and shown really great fresh fish. The waiter (presumably the boss) then tried to sell us a variety of dishes even though we hadn't even placed our orders. After the starter, our plate was left standing until it was eaten, even though we said we didn't like it anymore. For the main course, a rather outrageous piece of fish was brought for the price… very disappointing. Last but not least, we were even asked to pay so that the table could probably be reoccupied. The ambience is really great, but the rest is a negative experience compared to other restaurants.

02/08/2024: Great restaurant, very welcoming and more than friendly staff

09/08/2024: I went to this restaurant with my family for lunch, returning from Ravello. From the moment we sat down we realized we had made a big mistake. There was construction right behind our table, with drilling noises. The waiter who served us was very approximate in his description of the dishes and seemed irritated by my mother's request about her order. The customers seemed uncomfortable due to the noise, which at a certain point stopped (probably due to complaints from some customers). Even though the place had very few customers, the wait for the first courses was interminable, to the point that we were no longer hungry after the starter. In any case, a very disappointing seafood appetizer, served on a half-empty flat white plate with 1 anchovy, 2 mussel shells (one of which is empty), and two almost transparent slices: one of salmon and one of swordfish. Nightmare first courses, half-raw and still hard porcini mushrooms (probably frozen), pre-cooked and charred sausage, dry and soulless crispelle. A disgrace to the excellence of Italian food and the beautiful area we live in. P.S.: Before finishing, a smell of paint spread throughout the room. Bill £60 euros. Avoid at all costs.

11/07/2024: Nice place a stone's throw from Vietri sul mare. They allowed us to leave the car in front of the restaurant to walk to Vietri. Good food and attentive staff. All perfect.

01/08/2024: Location is stunning. Short drive away from the village square which is always best to visit during St Donato in August. Rooms are well air conditioned. Food is lovely. About €10-15 for a pasta. Lovely pool. Great for lounging about in, not the kinda pool you can do lengths in though, due to the vast amounts of kids. Nice ice creams and a football court
