25/02/2024: Very popular place in summer 2023, where in all honesty I had a great time. I returned on a Saturday evening in February and unfortunately I found everything different.
I'll start with the service, the guys are polite and kind, the environment maintains its charm, but the food doesn't live up to all of this.
Raw with tuna still frozen, very salty seafood linguine, wines that aren't there, you ask for spaghetti with sea urchins and it isn't there, a simple appetizer with marinated anchovies that taste like buckets and just the name of fish balls.
120km round trip and alas I didn't have dinner like you were used to in the summer. I hope for them it's just a coincidence because the service and place deserve so much.
25/02/2024: Today 25/2/2024 I had lunch in this restaurant... a shocking lunch, the most vomiting appetizer ever eaten... including an octopus with disgusting and vomiting tomato... a tray of cold, uncleaned mussels still with the rope, bad smell shell not scraped and clean, most of them empty and without seafood...never eaten like this...when I complained to the waiter...he replied that they were Spanish mussels...but it wasn't like that...a risotto pescatora cooked with cicada shells, sour tomato and with a bad smell.... it was a disappointing experience.. and I can say a lunch without exaggeration.."disgusting"....

26/03/2024: Good fresh fish. There is no menu but no surprises on the bill, indeed very honest prices.
I returned after a few months and I must say that I found some negative aspects, probably they had an unlucky day, but the wait between one course and another was even more than an hour, we even had to wait to pay, and this is because the place was full, at least twenty tables with around ninety diners, and three or four people in the room are very few, despite the efforts made. I plan to try it once again to understand if it was just a coincidence.

We chose salmon, tuna, squid, shrimp and shellfish.
Everything was perfect, despite the restaurant being quite full.
The atmosphere is welcoming and the waiters are very attentive.
Impeccable service and a lot of variety on the menu.
Il Galileo is excellent value for money and deserves a visit.
After dinner there are great options for desserts and liqueurs.

30/03/2024: Wonderful experience for the service, the education of the employees, the quality of the food, the presentation of the dishes. This restaurant alone can be a valid reason to spend hours in Crotone.
16/03/2024: Business lunch started with a mixed starter of cooked fish, with a carefully prepared and unusual variety.
The first ones are excellent
The service was very attentive and equally kind.
We will return next time.

03/03/2024: Stunning seafront location with outdoor tables, the interior is a bit sacrificed compared to the unrealistic number of seats provided. Discreet but not exceptional food and, without prejudice to the quality, even the quantity of the raw material, perhaps, suffers from the ambitions mentioned above, which is why a calarata with baby octopus can become a plate of pasta with fish-flavoured sauce with glutamate (and only a few traces of baby octopus).
Slow, imprecise, approximate service despite the individual efforts and good will of the individual employees in reduced numbers compared to needs. . Average prices but quality-price ratio tending towards low. It is advisable to focus on quality rather than quantity (fewer covers - better service - better overall quality).
