22/05/2025: I'm sorry to write this review because the lady (probably the owner) was super nice and in my opinion she does her best to lead the restaurant and her team, but we really had a bad time, we couldn't finish a dish. The rice was sticky and inedible, the soy spaghetti had probably been heated in the microwave so much that it was withered, a sort of glue threads too. They brought us some sushi that we specifically ordered from the menu, it was old! The shrimp was so old that it was dry with cracks on it, we left hungry and with a bad memory of this place, I'm sorry, and even worse with a strange taste in our mouths and we paid almost 60 euros for having eaten practically nothing. I'll add a photo of this Sushi, it was old! not to mention the broken chip on one of them, terrible...

25/04/2025: I don't usually do reviews, but this time I feel like sharing this terrible experience. We go to Pannocchietta following the advice of many friends and trusting the good reviews. There are 6 of us plus two 1 year old children, we arrive around 1pm and when we enter the waitresses are rude and not attentive to the customer. We sit at the table and after about half an hour no one has yet come by to leave us the menu, we try to stop one of the two waitresses who darts past us pretending nothing happened; many smoke signals later the waitress brings us the menu and we think: "yes the prices are high but maybe the food is good". After choosing what to have we go back to the smoke signals to stop someone and order (2.00 pm), we all start to get hungry, the children get nervous and we too are no different. We stop a waitress to point out that we didn't even have water on the table and fortunately she takes our order. The drinks arrive and we book 5 complete appetizers plus a seafood salad and a first course. The seafood salad arrives relatively immediately (2.20pm) but we have to wait for the starters (2.30pm). In the meantime we see that people who arrived after us sit down and already eat appetizers, first courses and fried food and we are still fasting (we start to get nervous). We stop the waitress again and point this out to her, she apologizes telling us that they are understaffed but that we will be served soon. (2.35pm) Some starters finally arrive and we start to eat, but the thing that immediately catches our eye are the really measured portions, "let's continue just in case", the dishes arrive very slowly and we realize that at 3.00pm we hadn't even finished the starter. We stop the waitress again to ask for explanations since we are paying like the others and we continue to see people who sat down after us eating, "it's 3.15pm we're hungry and the children are restless, if you bring us something we'll stay otherwise we'll leave", the waitress isn't upset in the slightest and asks us if we want to finish the starters or want the bill. We finish the few things we have left, we pay around €50 each for not having eaten anything and we go hungry to eat an ice cream somewhere else. Terrible experience, a place with these prices cannot afford to have such poor service and cuisine, in 2 hours and 30 minutes we only ate the starters.

25/04/2025: During today's visit to the La Pannocchietta restaurant, I came across an unfortunately disappointing experience in several respects. The first negative impact was with the staff, who proved to be rude and not attentive to our needs. Every request seemed to be a nuisance, and the lack of courtesy contributed to the unwelcoming atmosphere. The service was below expectations, with exasperating waiting times: we waited 2 hours and 30 minutes just to receive the starter. This delay was not accompanied by any apologies from the staff, making the experience even more frustrating. Finally, the value for money was extremely disappointing. The dishes, both in terms of quality and quantity, did not justify the high price at all. We expected more authentic flavors and more generous portions than what we were served. In conclusion, La Pannocchietta did not meet our expectations in many respects, and I cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience worthy of its price.

07/09/2024: Siamo stati a cena e devo dire che abbiamo mangiato veramente bene: i primi abbondanti e ben conditi, ho preso mezze maniche al sugo di scampi oltre che buono ricco di scampi interi! Gli spaghetti allo scoglio veramente ottimi, un filetto di orata gratinato buonissimo, e la frittura di calamari strepitosa, solo a Numana ho mangiato una frittura a questi livelli! La titolare gentile, ed il prezzo basso rispetto a qualsiasi ristorante dove si mangia meno bene e si paga anche il coperto. Consigliatissimo se si vuole mangiare bene senza fronzoli..

07/09/2024: We went to this restaurant/deli at the suggestion of a local friend, I must say that we ate really well! We took two first courses: spaghetti with seafood and mezzamaniche with scampi sauce, in both there was a lot of fish, even 5 scampi never seen in any restaurant I have been to. Then a fried squid, a sea bass fillet with some spinach and two morsels. Spent €47 generous portions and fried food applause. Highly recommended

11/04/2025: Locale di altissimo livello: ambientazione delle Mauritius, realizzato in modo quanto mai fedele, cucina con chef d’esperienza internazionale, la cantina è sorprendentemente ricca e il personale di sala molto gentile e disponibile. L’unica cosa non a livello è il prezzo!

27/02/2025: Un ristorante famoso, con annesso splendido stabilimento balneare della famiglia De Cecco, punto di riferimento e di grande richiamo per la città di Pescara. Ristorante che durante l’anno si avvale della collaborazione dello Chef tristellato Heinz Beck che organizza serate a tema. Ho avuto il piacere di trascorrere il pranzo natalizio con la mia famiglia in un ambiente caldo, molto creativo e curato nelle decorazioni natalizie. Il locale cambia spesso scenografia in base alle festività e agli eventi, a memoria della clientela storica. Il personale di sala accogliente, garbato, attento alle esigenze della clientela. Il pranzo natalizio si è sviluppato tutto intorno ai piatti iconici natalizi della tradizione abruzzese, molto gustosi, curati , creati con materiali di alta qualità. Nonostante il locale fosse al completo ho apprezzato il tono silenzioso e pacato della clientela ( cosa rara in Italia). Naturalmente non posso non consigliarlo, mi auguro di tornarci presto, magari in estate.

So, on advice, we landed at La Barcaccia - a historic restaurant, a few steps from the sea immersed in a warm, elegant but familiar atmosphere. We followed the flow of their proposal: spectacular raw fish, a waltz of hot and cold appetizers, a prawn tartare that dances on the palate, crunchy squid in a sweet caponata and a Mediterranean turbot that smells of the open sea. One wave after another, each dish overwhelmed us. No notes out of tune, just pure harmony: flavors that speak the language of tradition, with modern, vibrant, personal accents. We are grateful for the advice we received. And now, with enthusiasm, we relaunch it. "La Barcaccia": A safe haven for those seeking emotions, not just dishes
