30/11/2025: Interesting menu, despite its lack of wine. The artichoke drowned in mashed potatoes was a shame. The pork cheek à la Tintilia was sublime. Downsides: the lack of tablecloths in a finely furnished restaurant and the noisy wait staff.

27/11/2025: Fa.Bu. is always a great idea, with a youthful and dynamic atmosphere and friendly and genuine owners. The food is definitely top-notch. I've tried every sandwich on the menu, along with a few starters and desserts, and I've always loved it.
In short: incredibly tasty sandwiches, a pleasant and informal atmosphere, and extremely friendly staff.
They also offer a vegetarian option with fresh, non-commercial chickpea burgers. I personally really enjoyed it, even though I'm not vegetarian.

22/11/2025: I had the pleasure of dining with my family today at this typical Campobasso restaurant, and the experience was overall very positive, with a few minor reservations.
The real star was the food: traditional, authentic cuisine that showcases the flavors of Molise. Every dish we ordered was excellent, prepared with fresh ingredients and, no small thing, with a mastery that was evident at first bite. It's hard to find a flaw in the taste and preparation, which deserve top marks.
The only thing that dampened our enthusiasm was the ratio between portion size and price. We found the portions served a bit skimpy (compared to the standards we're used to) compared to the asking price, especially for a typical trattoria. We felt that, despite eating very well, we didn't leave feeling as full as we'd expect.
In conclusion, if you're looking for authentic quality and traditional flavor, this place is perfect. The flavors are worth the trip. However, if you're really hungry, consider the portion size.
Despite the note about the portions, the freshness and deliciousness of the food still make us highly recommend it!
21/11/2025: The bill was excessive for what we ate, but the worst thing was that we paid without receiving a receipt. A pseudo-receipt was brought to our table as a reminder. We preferred not to argue, but it should be reported!

06/08/2025: I was there this evening with my family, the typical Neapolitan setting is very nice, the food is excellent: gnocchetti alla sorrentina, octopus and broccoli rabe, calamarata, aubergine parmigiana, starters: sbirra and seafood guappo, the price is super considering the quality and quantity, the only thing I can recommend is a smile from those who serve these delicacies, plus they are friendly and polite, I want to say, but that typical particularity is missing.
05/08/2025: On a cool evening in Termoli, we chose to dine at La Sbirra, a trattoria that embodies the soul of authentic Neapolitan cuisine. The restaurant is simple, informal, yet welcoming. Here, the decor doesn't matter: it's the heart that counts. And you can taste it.
Welcoming us is the owner, a kind and passionate Neapolitan who has made his hospitality his strong point. He's almost terrified of keeping customers waiting, of leaving unexpected guests, but I want to tell him one thing:
Art takes its time, and those who come here are not in a hurry. They know that behind every dish there is attention and care.
His wife, a daughter of an artist, works in the kitchen, and you immediately sense that the dishes aren't just made: they are lived. There's respect for tradition, for flavor, and for those who sit at the table. Cuisine made with the heart, without compromise.
We began with a series of seafood appetizers, served one after the other, all generous and carefully crafted.
The octopus tentacles with broccoli rabe were tender, almost melting in the mouth, and the broccoli rabe were fried in true Neapolitan tradition, pre-cooked without boiling, so they'd be available year-round.
The baby octopus Luciana-style with crostini was one of the highlights of the dinner: flavorful, balanced, perfect. A dish that, honestly, is hard to find even in Naples made this well.
For the first course, a fresh pasta dish with clams, mussels, and scampi: fragrant, perfectly creamed, with fresh, carefully prepared ingredients.
Next, a dry, crispy, and abundant mixed fried fish dish with cod, calamari, shrimp, and anchovies—a thoroughly successful second course.
Even the details are noteworthy. Our table marker bore Sophia Loren's name, alongside Massimo Troisi. All the tables feature icons of Neapolitan culture, with hand-painted stall-style signs: a simple yet authentic and distinctive idea.
The service was attentive, with cutlery changed between courses, a sign of care even in the smallest gestures.
And right here, you understand that this isn't just any business: it's a lifestyle choice.
To run a place like this, private life inevitably merges with work.
And what comes out of it is something that can't be bought or replicated:
authenticity.

20/10/2025: My partner and I had dinner at Donna Carmela and overall we had a great time. We had an appetizer for two with typical products—cured meats, cheeses, frittata, and ricotta—all very good and beautifully presented.
For our first course, I chose the pappardelle with wild boar and porcini mushrooms, while my partner ordered a veal cutlet with wine. The quality of the dishes was good, and they were enjoyable to eat; my only complaint: there wasn't a single porcini mushroom in sight; they must have been left in the woods 😂😅.
The veal cutlet, however, was truly excellent.
We also had a dessert, which was decent, and the bill was more than fair for what we ate.
The only downside: the owner was a bit aloof, while the hostess was very friendly and welcoming.
Overall, a good restaurant, with authentic cuisine and fair prices.
20/10/2025: During a pleasant day in Molise, on our way to the nearby wellness center, we decided to stop for a quick lunch at the Donna Carmela restaurant, recommended by an acquaintance. The restaurant is located in a quaint alley in the village of Guasto, shrouded in ivy and autumnal colors that create a truly evocative atmosphere.
Inside, the atmosphere is simple, welcoming, and meticulously detailed. The menus are beautifully presented, with a wooden cover and a daily menu written on a blackboard, illustrated by the lady in charge.
We chose two first courses: pumpkin gnocchi with butter, rosemary, chestnuts, and Parmesan cheese, very pleasant and well-balanced, and a forest soup with porcini mushrooms, mushrooms, potatoes, pancetta, chestnuts, and truffle. Unfortunately, the truffle wasn't fresh, but in a sauce, which somewhat detracted from the otherwise rich and flavorful dish.
We couldn't help but try the Caciocavallo di Roccamandolfi 2.0 with egg and black truffle from Molise, an iconic dish of the area. The flavor was also good and well-balanced, but using fresh truffle—especially during this time of year—would certainly have made a difference.
Overall, a good dining experience, with rich and flavorful dishes, courteous service, and a reasonable price. A pleasant stop in a little corner of Molise worth discovering.
