A truly charming and characteristic restaurant located in an 18th-century manor house, it offers plenty of indoor seating in two charming rooms. The food is truly excellent—see the photos to believe it—the prices are fair, and the staff are friendly.
20/09/2025: Good, homemade food, but waiting 40 minutes for a first course is a bit too long in my opinion.

06/08/2025: I was there this evening with my family, the typical Neapolitan setting is very nice, the food is excellent: gnocchetti alla sorrentina, octopus and broccoli rabe, calamarata, aubergine parmigiana, starters: sbirra and seafood guappo, the price is super considering the quality and quantity, the only thing I can recommend is a smile from those who serve these delicacies, plus they are friendly and polite, I want to say, but that typical particularity is missing.
05/08/2025: On a cool evening in Termoli, we chose to dine at La Sbirra, a trattoria that embodies the soul of authentic Neapolitan cuisine. The restaurant is simple, informal, yet welcoming. Here, the decor doesn't matter: it's the heart that counts. And you can taste it. Welcoming us is the owner, a kind and passionate Neapolitan who has made his hospitality his strong point. He's almost terrified of keeping customers waiting, of leaving unexpected guests, but I want to tell him one thing: Art takes its time, and those who come here are not in a hurry. They know that behind every dish there is attention and care. His wife, a daughter of an artist, works in the kitchen, and you immediately sense that the dishes aren't just made: they are lived. There's respect for tradition, for flavor, and for those who sit at the table. Cuisine made with the heart, without compromise. We began with a series of seafood appetizers, served one after the other, all generous and carefully crafted. The octopus tentacles with broccoli rabe were tender, almost melting in the mouth, and the broccoli rabe were fried in true Neapolitan tradition, pre-cooked without boiling, so they'd be available year-round. The baby octopus Luciana-style with crostini was one of the highlights of the dinner: flavorful, balanced, perfect. A dish that, honestly, is hard to find even in Naples made this well. For the first course, a fresh pasta dish with clams, mussels, and scampi: fragrant, perfectly creamed, with fresh, carefully prepared ingredients. Next, a dry, crispy, and abundant mixed fried fish dish with cod, calamari, shrimp, and anchovies—a thoroughly successful second course. Even the details are noteworthy. Our table marker bore Sophia Loren's name, alongside Massimo Troisi. All the tables feature icons of Neapolitan culture, with hand-painted stall-style signs: a simple yet authentic and distinctive idea. The service was attentive, with cutlery changed between courses, a sign of care even in the smallest gestures. And right here, you understand that this isn't just any business: it's a lifestyle choice. To run a place like this, private life inevitably merges with work. And what comes out of it is something that can't be bought or replicated: authenticity. ⸻ A personal note to the owner: Don't fear time. Those who come here know how to wait, because they recognize the value of what you do. And above all: don't change. Stay true, authentic, simple, welcoming. That's what makes you special.

05/09/2025: The food is really good, more quality than quantity, and that's fine. On the two occasions I've been, I've tried several dishes, all fish-based, and I've enjoyed everything from appetizers to first and second courses. I'm not giving it 5 stars only because we sometimes felt a bit neglected by the service (excessive waits when there weren't many people, and a coffee we ordered, confirmed but never arrived, because it hadn't been communicated to the bar). We were also a bit disappointed to have paid a cover charge (€2.50) for a 7-month-old baby, for whom, yes, they provided a high chair, but who didn't touch anything except the things we brought, even cutlery and napkins. From what I know, this is a legitimate but very rare occurrence. That said, I think we'll be back because the food is truly worth it.
29/08/2025: I recently had lunch at Lu Carratino and I must say it was a five-star experience in every way. This restaurant perfectly embodies the spirit of traditional Italian cuisine: an authentic atmosphere, excellent ingredients, and truly exquisite service. Our dining experience began with a selection of excellent appetizers, rich and carefully prepared. Top-quality cured meats and perfectly preserved vegetables prepared the palate for what was to come. But it was the first course section that left us speechless: simply delicious. Every bite was a journey through authentic traditional flavors, with al dente pasta and rich, flavorful sauces that demonstrate great culinary mastery. The true soul of the restaurant, however, lies in the extraordinary quality of its ingredients. The careful selection of suppliers and the love for excellent ingredients are evident in every dish, from the extra virgin olive oil and the sweetest tomatoes to the finest cheeses and cured meats. Andrea, the waiter, played a key role in making the evening unforgettable. He was available and professional at every turn. His attentive and knowledgeable service, combined with his skillful recommendation of dishes, demonstrated truly commendable customer service. I highly recommend this gastronomic gem to all lovers of good food. Whether it's a romantic dinner, a family lunch, or a gathering of friends, Lu Carratino is the perfect choice for those seeking all-round excellence: from flavors to service. I'll be back very soon to try the rest of the menu!

The management pays attention to every detail: you can feel the love and passion the family puts into every dish. The fish is incredibly fresh, cooked simply but with an authentic flavor that truly brings out the flavors of the sea. The calamarata with calamari and pistachio pesto is highly recommended; it's delicious. Generous portions and excellent quality. The seaside location is enchanting; dining while gazing out at the sea is a wonderful experience. Service is attentive but never intrusive, with perfect timing between courses. In short: a restaurant that combines tradition, human warmth, and authentic cuisine. A rating for the entire staff? 10 My friends complimented me on taking them to this restaurant; completely satisfied, and we'll definitely be back! Well done 🙏👌👏👏
04/10/2025: In a welcoming setting, nestled on the beautiful seafront, a wooden structure offers a wide selection of fish and meat dishes. I haven't eaten so well in years; the first course was fabulous, well-cooked and creamy with quality ingredients. For the second course, the roasted octopus with turnip tops and burrata was AMAZING! The dishes are beautiful to look at; we'll definitely be back!

We ordered a tasting of both raw and cooked appetizers, followed by two first courses: cavatelli with chicory and clams, and ravioli with scampi and truffle. Everything was excellent and very fresh. The wine cellar is excellent, and they recommended a delicious local white wine. Highly recommended.
