19/08/2024: El Busetto enjoys a prime location overlooking Lake Garda, which is easily its best feature. The views from the terrace are stunning, making it a lovely spot to relax and take in the scenery. Unfortunately, the food leaves much to be desired. The menu offers a variety of options, but the quality is rather mediocre. It’s clear that many of the dishes are not freshly prepared, with some items seemingly frozen and simply warmed up before serving. If you're hungry, it might be worth popping in for a quick snack or a drink, but I wouldn't recommend it for a full meal. There are better options nearby for a proper dining experience. The staff, while young and energetic, seem overburdened by the sheer number of tables they need to cover. They are quick to seat you and take your order, but after that, good luck catching their attention again. This is not the fault of the waiters themselves, who appear eager and hardworking, but rather an issue with management not having enough staff on hand to manage the crowd effectively. It’s a shame because the service starts off well but quickly becomes frustrating. Overall, El Busetto is not a place I would outright avoid, but it’s not somewhere I’d rush back to either. The experience is mediocre, and unless you’re okay with sitting unnoticed for much of the evening, you might want to try your luck elsewhere. If you’re after the lake views, it’s a decent spot, but don’t expect too much in terms of food or service.

18/08/2024: We loved this restaurant when we visited a few times in 2022 and looked forward to returning this summer, 2024. We went twice this summer. The first time on Tuesday 13th August and the 2nd visit on Friday 16th August. On the Tuesday we had been pleased to recognise lots of the same members of staff from the 2022 visit. On the Tuesday we had a good experience (the reason why we were excited to return) and the second time we went, on the Friday we had a really poor experience. On the Tuesday, the food was very good, the vibe in the restaurant was also good and the service welcoming too. The restaurant is in an excellent location with stonking views back to Malcesine and the beautiful lake. It is an excellent grassy frontage with bean bags which our kids loved having their drinks at. However, on the 2nd visit we approached a waiter to inform our arrival which was 8:35pm for an 8:30pm booking (it was a hot day and we were feeling a little hot/slow on the walk!). He cut us short as we told him who we were and said we were late because it was an 8:00pm booking. My mum did not match the waiter's rude tone but tried to explain she had asked for an 8:30pm booking on the phone. He told her abruptly cut her short again and told her she was wrong (verging on aggressively) and he said he had 'seen the booking written down so she was wrong'! I asked if there was still a possibility of a table, he walked off to a table, leaving us unclear - we decided to find out by going over the table he was standing by. My mum is 75 and half Italian, fluent in the language. My father was 100% sure that she made an 8:30pm booking having listened to the phone call, he felt the person answering the call had been short of time / not really listening so had probably taken an 8:00 time instead - easy to do in a busy and popular restaurant - it is such a shame the waiter defaulted to rudeness, abrupt responses and certainly didn't apply basic, decent customer service. When at the table, we felt unwelcome and considered leaving but it is easy one for one waiter to have a bad day and we hadn't encountered poor service before so we stayed on. A different waiter came to take our order. My sister whose family don't eat gluten, for health reasons, started to give an order. The waiter stopped her as she gave her pasta order. He spoke in an off manner, similar to the first waiter and said she couldn't order gluten free pasta with different sauces, we asked why. He said the chef said he/she can't make different sauces so the 3 family members had to choose 1 sauce for the 3 orders. We were keen to know why but the waiter became inpatient taking the order and demanded she choose different food or one sauce for the 3 pasta orders. It was hard to understand because the sauces did not contain gluten. We discussed if we should continue with the order, we felt our children were tired and hungry so made an order. As we questioned if we should continue after 2 instances of poor customer service, the waiter, again with little tact or skill said we could leave now. Unconvinced, we continued with the order. The food arrived, some of it was fine, my risotto was undercooked and tasted bland. The gluten free pasta was undercooked (unlike the gluten free pasta on the Tuesday - when we were also allowed to choose whichever sauce), the undercooked pasta felt, possibly, like a point being made by the staff cooking it! We felt it necessary to mention this to the waiter and they reduced the final bill by 20%. Overall the 2nd visit this summer was really disappointing and we had all really looked forward to returning. If the owners / management staff were asked what I'd expect to be different: it was the tone of voice and the manner of communicating by both waiters. Of course, if the chef feels he/she needs certain stipulations followed so they can deliver allergy safe food then they can be explained carefully and politely. And is it really worth rudely telling the customer they are wrong about a booking time? And being so certain a human error might not have been made at their end?! I mean, surely it's not too difficult to deal with this situation by applying more politeness and respectful customer service. We don't feel comfortable in continuing to recommend Lido Sopri to friends and won't attend again when visiting the wonderful lake.

04/06/2024: Great basic pizza! We stopped here when we were driving to our hotel and it was raining. Good service and got our pizzas for takeaway.

05/04/2024: Seit Jahren sind wir immer gerne hier und Essen mit der Familie vor allem gerne Pizza und Pasta. Die Lage ist perfekt und der Service immer super.

24/08/2024: A cena con amici dopo un piacevole fine settimana sul Garda. Ci fermiamo per mangiare una pizza e subito notiamo l’arroganza e la maleducazione di un cameriere senza un minimo di professionalità; imbarazzante. Ordiniamo le nostre pizze arrivano dopo 30 minuti e fredde. Sulla mia “diavola’ arriva con l’origano non segnalato sul menu! Faccio presente allo stesso che mi risponde in malo modo dicendo che se deve rifarla devo aspettare prima che facciano tutte le altre in coda al forno. I miei commensali intanto finiscono di mangiare e la mia pizza arriva dopo 45min. Purtroppo non vi è la possibilità di inserire numeri relativi come voto altrimenti sarebbe -5! Evitatelo assolutamente . La mia peggior esperienza!

18/08/2024: Ambiente super suggestivo e cucina varia. Tonno eccezionale! Servizio molto attento e cortese, ci hanno trattati davvero bene :) E poi la coppa gelato con i gusti misti era inaspettatamente gigantesca e deliziosa in un modo non scontato (provare per credere!). Da provare assolutamente!

01/09/2024: Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Schönes Ambiente am Rande der Altstadt, kurz bevor der Trubel los geht. Guter Hauswein. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wir hatten Fisch und Salat bzw Pizza. Wir hatten über the Fork reserviert , problemlos den 20% Rabatt bekommen.

24/07/2024: We had a pizza and lasagna here eith my family. Lasagna was great and the pizza’s were also very good. If you are around you should go here for dinner. Price is in the mid pricing. Pasta is more expensive than pizza.

15/09/2024: Wir waren auf eine Empfehlung hin hier und wurden maßlos enttäuscht! Sehr aufdringlicher und überheblicher Padrone. Wir hatten jeweils 3 Gänge, welche leider wirklich allesamt nicht gut waren. Vorspeise mit Jacobsmuscheln hat so fischig geschmeckt, dass man über das Alter dieser spekulieren musste. Also lieber stehen lassen… Der Pulpo mit Artischocken war so trocken und fest, dass er ungenießbar war. Gleiches galt für die Kalbsleber mit Polenta. Diese hat geschmeckt wie nochmal aufgewärmt. Der Service war ok, aber in keinster Weise wie man es in Italien kennt! Wirklich so schade um den schönen Urlaubsabend! Für uns ist das Lokal aus unsere Liste für den Lago gestrichen…

30/08/2024: Zufällig sind wir in diesem Lokal gelandet. Leider kann ich einen großen Teil der negativen Bewertungen bestätigen. Wenn man der italienischen Tradition folgend ein Menü aus Antipasti, Primo Piatto,Secondo Piatto und Dolci und dazu einen Wein (nach offenen Weine muss ausdrücklich gefragt werden, auf der Karte stehen nur Flaschen) legt man pro Person ca. 90,- EUR auf den Tisch. Entsprechend klein sind die Portionen, was allerdings sich aus der Menügestaltung ergibt. Das Essen was deutlich überwürzt. Der Chef ist an Arroganz nicht zu überbieten, als Vegetarien bist du nicht gern gesehen. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr nett und aufmerksam.

19/09/2024: We've been visiting Malcesine and eating at Buongiorno e Buonasera for over twenty years and have seen.many changes to both town and restaurant, one of which is the quality and variety of food at the latter. Having said that, I tend to eat pizza here because I've never been disappointed (I rarely eat them back home for the opposite reason) although on my last visit I had Octopus tentacle which was excellent. My wife loves fish and has never been disappointed with their offerings. Location is on a busy but traffic-free piazza in the middle of Malcesine which is great for people watching but just be aware that it can get a bit chilly if there's a wind blowing and you're sat at the extreme front of the outside area. The only downside is that the service can be a bit sketchy at times, depending on who is working at the time of visit - but it's not enough of an issue to spoil what is one of our go-to restaurants

03/08/2024: Locale molto delicato. Ottimo servizio con personale gentile e accogliente (mai troppo invadente o pressante). Cibo molto buono dai primi piatti ai secondi. In aggiunta pane di produzione del locale con impasto integrale e semi. Consigliato!

19/09/2023: Torniamo spesso da Guido perché per noi la pizza è la migliore in assoluto! La pasta è ottima e il condimento sempre di qualità. La cordialità dei titolari e del loro personale completa il quadro, è sempre bello quando si esce a cena trovare un sorriso e fare qualche parola amichevole. Grandi! Marzia

01/10/2023: Ristorante e pizzeria in centro a Bardolino, ma allo stesso tempo molto tranquillo. Ottimi sia i primi che le pizze. Consiglio per una cena in famiglia. Personale sempre gentile e disponibile.

26/07/2023: Ausgezeichneter Service und Essen. Waren in den letzten Jahren bei jedem Besuch in Bardolino hier Essen. Gleiche Qualität und Service, immer ausgezeichnet.
