19/04/2026: We trusted Michele, the waiter who served us. He recommended the main dishes, and we didn't regret it. Mopping up the bread was a must—everything was delicious!

26/04/2026: After our pilgrimage in Assisi, we went
here for lunch. The staff was exceptionally kind, welcoming us warmly and helpfully (almost like volunteers, with all the heart they put into it!). The torta al testo was simply delicious, fragrant, and rich in flavor. We also tried the San Francesco (or local) craft beer: truly strong and full of character, perfect for those who love bold flavors. A place I highly recommend to all pilgrims!

24/04/2026: During a trip to Assisi with the Diocese of Rome, I went here to get an exceptional—I can now say—sandwich with wild boar ham and olive oil. Simple, good, exactly what I was looking for. A little pricey, perhaps, but there aren't even any supermarkets here in Assisi, so it's not surprising. My friends were able to wait outside without getting impatient; in fact, in no time, my sandwich was ready to be enjoyed. Excellent, highly recommended!!!

19/08/2026: I was here with my parents, who had known this restaurant for many years, as well as the owner. It was a wonderful experience, from the hospitality and kindness of the family to the attention to detail in the dishes, all truly delicious! We ordered the sublime cappellacci with honey and pecorino, the delicious strozzapreti with cherry tomatoes and salted ricotta, and the unmissable sausages with caramelized onion! A special mention for the tender and perfectly grilled veal fillet with delicious potatoes. They also gave us the option of ordering an off-menu item. What can I say? Thank you so much, and we will definitely be back! You made this stay a real treat! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
19/08/2026: I'm listening to the requests from the people at my table next to me, which are quite annoying and unnecessary. Despite everything, the staff is responding extremely courteously to every request. I return to Assisi every year and will continue to eat at this restaurant.

07/05/2026: On Tuesday evening, I had the pleasure of dining at "I Monaci" after a long journey from Bari to Assisi, and the experience was truly wonderful: the restaurant is meticulously designed, elegant yet welcoming, with an authentic atmosphere that evokes Umbrian tradition and the flavors of yesteryear.
The menu is refined and well-thought out, showcasing typical local dishes with a refined and creative touch. Each course stands out for the quality of the ingredients, the balance of flavors, and the impeccable presentation. Truly flavorful dishes, prepared with passion and attention to detail.
An added bonus is definitely the owner: extremely friendly, helpful, and capable of making every guest feel at home. The staff also deserves high praise for their friendliness, professionalism, and customer service.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Assisi who wants an authentic gastronomic experience, combining tradition, quality, and sincere hospitality.

04/04/2026: We stopped for a quick lunch and ordered the 13 euro menu. I'd say it was plentiful and good... the staff were welcoming and super friendly... a rarity... congratulations!
14/03/2026: We only visited the restaurant as passing tourists, two couples, and ordered the tourist menu. The price was excellent, and the food was very tasty and well-portioned. The kitchen was spotless, and the restrooms were well-maintained. The young people at the tables were extremely courteous, extremely polite, and attentive. The owner's daughter, who is also a talented chef, was friendly and empathetic at the counter. Perfectly family-run, highly recommended. Reservations are recommended due to the large number of guests.

24/07/2026: I'm a person who adapts, but this time I was a bit disappointed.
The appetizer was so transparent that we ordered two.
The meat was acceptable, but the grilled vegetables were actually raw and boiled vegetables.
The service was a bit sloppy and poorly organized, leaving us feeling a bit abandoned.
I read in some reviews that they charged 5 euros for the service, but that's not true. We paid 2 euros each.

14/07/2026: We chose this restaurant based on its good reviews. After a long day of traveling, we stopped in before our tour and were greeted politely by a lady and gentleman in a completely empty restaurant. When we spoke in English (I understand Italian so so but don't speak it), the lady, clearly changing her expression and tone to a more dry one, asked if we had a reservation. Surprised, we said no, as we hadn't seen any reservation option on their website, and then were told we couldn't be seated without one.
The situation was a little off, still, I smiled and asked if they could recommend another nearby restaurant based on some of our dietary needs, but she said she couldn't think of any. As we left, we saw two groups of Italian-speaking guests arrive and be seated immediately without being asked about reservations. Again, I understand enough but don’t speak it.
There may have been a reason for the difference that we weren't aware of, but based on what we observed, the experience left us feeling confused and disappointed.
13/06/2026: The food was truly fabulous and authentic! We enjoyed it a lot, it was like eating food prepared by your grandmother, so emotional. The service was great, especially Chacha. ♥️

17/05/2026: My husband and I had dinner at Osteria dei Priori in Assisi to celebrate my birthday, and we had a truly wonderful time.
The place is beautiful and welcoming, with a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. The staff welcomed us with such kindness and courtesy, making us feel immediately at ease. They were also very kind in explaining the dishes and offering suggestions throughout the dinner.
The food was truly exquisite; you could taste the quality of the ingredients, and each dish was carefully crafted and full of flavor. It was a special evening that I will fondly remember.
If you're looking for a place to eat well and feel welcomed with a smile, I absolutely recommend it!

15/06/2025: È la seconda volta che mangio in questo posto, hanno un ottimo menu della tradizione umbra. La coratella era buonissima veramente,la straconsiglio. La pizza è la classica bassa e scrocchiarella come usa da noi ma forse poteva essere più cotta. Comunque una buona pizza a prezzi molto accessibili e così tutto il resto del menù. Locale con molti coperti ma il servizio è abituato a fare i numeri avendo uno staff molto numeroso. Bravi. Prezzi molto onesti
