09/06/2026: By far the best seafood we ate during our stay in Italy and throughout Tuscany. Everything was incredibly fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. It's clear the cuisine is based on high-quality ingredients and attention to detail. The portions were generous, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere made you want to linger. If you're looking for truly exceptional seafood, this is definitely worth a visit. One of those restaurants that you'll remember for a long time and want to return to again and again.

03/06/2026: The restaurant is spacious and welcoming. The staff is courteous, efficient, and ensures quick service, despite the large number of customers. We ate very well... the salad with walnuts, pine nuts, and truffle was particularly interesting. The quality/price ratio is excellent.

24/06/2026: We have a house nearby and have been here several times. The owners are incredibly kind and the food is spectacular. The view is beautiful and it creates a truly authentic, slightly touristy atmosphere that even locals appreciate from time to time. You almost feel like you're on vacation. They are attentive to every request; we had a guest with celiac disease and they were truly available to make the experience magical for him too. They welcome dogs and are very accommodating with special requests, such as cooking the same Florentine steak twice (we had two people with different cooking preferences). Despite the difficulty, they were incredibly kind. We'll be back a thousand times because the food is spectacular.

17/06/2026: They have put together the best staff at Il Falconiere. From start to finish no matter what we were up to, they were professional, sweet, & accommodating. We got eloped here and we have to give Claudia a special shoutout because she is special but literally every employee is special. As is the rooms, the property, and the cooking class.

01/06/2026: The service was very friendly and the seating was great. The food was okay, but unfortunately it didn't blow us away. We've had much better meals in Tuscany and got more for our money (smaller portions). However, tastes vary. Dogs are also welcome.

28/07/2026: A mediocre restaurant right in the middle of the Piazza Grande in Arezzo. Since the staff didn't speak English, taking our order was a bit difficult. The salad we eventually received was very small and rather unappetizing. The accompanying bread was unfortunately quite dry.

06/07/2026: The best culinary experience in all of Tuscany! MUST TRY the risotto & tonno! Despite being located right in the main tourist square, this restaurant completely blew us away, it was hands down the best meal we had during our entire trip to Tuscany. They excel at reinterpreting traditional Italian cuisine with an outstanding, modern twist. You absolutely must try the Risotto with Saffron Erborinato Cheese, Crunchy Speck, Shitake Mushroom, and Orange. I have never experienced such a powerful combination of bold flavors balanced so flawlessly. It was, without a doubt, the most exquisite, refined, and special risotto of my life! For the Secondi, my mother chose the Tuna with Sesame and an Orange Reduction to pour over it. It was the most tender, perfectly prepared tuna we have ever tasted. To make the evening even better, the service was top-notch; they thoughtfully paired and served different, exceptional red wines by the glass to perfectly match each of our main courses. An absolute masterpiece of a lunch. If you are in Arezzo, do not miss Essenza Dario e Anna!

09/06/2026: We accidentally ended up here and enjoyed a fantastic lunch. Super friendly staff and SUPER tasty food outside in the garden. Truly a hidden gemm for us. I can recommend this place to everyone.

05/06/2026: If you're looking for authentic Tuscany, this is the place. The restaurant is fantastic, nestled in the countryside: the view is breathtaking as soon as you arrive. The welcome is superb, the staff are friendly and passionate. And the food... amazing dishes, simple yet perfect. You can tell there's a love for the area behind it. An experience that feels like home.

26/07/2026: Great dinner, with attentive and friendly service from both the staff and the owner with a nice decorated place. Some antipasti was ok but the pasta and main dish were great. The wine list wasn’t quite natural enough for our taste, but there were still some good options.

11/07/2026: I recently discovered Ristorante Il Passaggio in Castiglion Fiorentino, and I must say it was a superb discovery. I'd been looking for a restaurant in Arezzo and the surrounding area where I could eat truly excellent fish. Well, here, folks, there's plenty of substance and no fluff. In terms of customer satisfaction, the quality was unexpected and far beyond all expectations. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with two glasses of prosecco and a pizza, half tomato and half focaccia, on the house. A simple gesture, but one that immediately demonstrated attention, care, and a true culture of hospitality. Then the dishes arrived. The seafood-flavored filatello is truly exceptional. The pistachio and scampi spaghetti is rich, balanced, and full of flavor. The fried fish is to die for: crispy, dry, light, and made with superior ingredients. The fish is excellent, the portions generous, the service attentive, and the overall experience goes far beyond expectations. Finally, a restaurant where you can eat truly well, without unnecessary stylistic exercises and without vague narratives on the plate. For me, from now on, Il Passaggio is an absolute reference point for seafood in the Arezzo area. Superlative. A well-deserved five stars.

08/05/2026: We just returned from a 3 week honeymoon in Italy which required a LOT of planning. I normally am not one to leave a review, but we relied so heavily on them to plan our trip so I wanted to share my experience to hopefully help someone else out. :) This was the third stop of our trip. And if I had to describe this hotel, I'd say it's like a luxury bed and breakfast in the rolling hills of Tuscany. The property is gorgeous and the staff was very accommodating. However, be aware, this hotel is not walking distance to really anything so you will either need a car or will need to hire a taxi or a driver to get anywhere. We ended up paying over $75 in 1 day just to get to and from the town of Cortona which is about a 10 min car ride away. Also, when we were there in April, I think we were 2 of maybe 6 guests on property. It felt almost eerily quiet. This is definitely not a hotel that you would come to for the fun atmosphere. Its more of a relaxing, luxury, and romantic get away. The staff does a nice job to help coordinate any plans / logistics that are needed. And I would highly recommend making plans for each day that you are there. We really enjoyed the wine tour that they coordinated for us. I do want to give a special shoutout to the food because the breakfast and dinner that we had were always fantastic! However, be mindful that that their kitchen is closed on Monday nights and so are many of the local restaurants. We found ourselves in a bit of a predicament after our wine tour, so we had to have our driver bring us to a grocery store to get some food. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Just do your homework before hand so that your stay can be as enjoyable as possible!

13/01/2026: This place was so serene and quiet this time of year (late December). The staff was attentive and accommodating and the food... so good! Worth staying here for couples. I would say it's romantic. But, we also saw a couple of young families. You will be spoiled if you stay here. We will never get a better breakfast spread anywhere. They set the bar high!
