07/07/2026: We dined on the terrace with a spectacular sea view. The fish was fresh and beautifully cooked. Pasta with lobster, tagliatelle with shrimp and caramelized figs (an unusual combination but truly delicious). For our main course, we ordered two enormous pieces of Pago fish. Grilled vegetables and eggplant caponata. Everything was very well cooked and generous portions. Water and wine were included. We spent €140 for two, but it's a fair price for the quality and quantity we were served. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Great customer service. Well done.

09/06/2026: We dined at this restaurant a few nights ago when we visited Modica. We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that the menu isn't the usual run-of-the-mill fare, with Mazara red shrimp and fish taking center stage. It's a selection of dishes that grandma makes, like the pasta with tinnirumi, which was excellent, and the rabbit alla stimpirata, which I'd never tried (the mint balanced the other flavors well). The almond jelly was highly recommended. When paying, we noticed that they sell the ingredients used in the dishes, such as Cosaruciara beans and Modica broad beans, which we were happy to purchase.

11/08/2026: The fish was delicious, the staff was super polite and kind. I wished they were closer to us in Florence! But every time we're in Scicli, we happily return to Garum. Congratulations on your exceptional business!

06/06/2026: This is an old-fashioned restaurant with a cuisine that "glorifies pork." The dishes have been the same for decades, always excellent. The prices are astonishing; in my area, a pizza costs more than a full meal here.

01/06/2026: A restaurant where pork is the main ingredient in all the dishes expertly prepared by the chef. The quality is truly excellent; the historic Maiore risotto remains my favorite, and the jelly served with the appetizers is delicious. I would describe it as true traditional Sicilian mountain cuisine, with flavors that preserve the ancient tradition. Highly recommended.

21/10/2025: The "Santa Maria" bakery is a must-visit not only for its delicious homemade bread, baked daily by Mr. Iemmolo, but also for enjoying the delicious local biscuits. The highlight is undoubtedly the delicious impanatiglie, a typical Modica dessert. We were greeted by Mr. Iemmolo's daughters, Grazia and Valentina, who were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and always ready to recommend the most tempting products. Highly recommended

18/07/2026: We found ourselves in this pizzeria almost by chance during the MemuFest, it was an exceptional discovery, excellent dough, well-seasoned, quality and local products, even the delicious dessert, the ricotta cannolo is spectacular, the young staff are courteous and kind, a perfect combination even if coming from Syracuse is a bit far, I will definitely come back to visit you, congratulations indeed

09/07/2026: Nestled on a street with steps, the lighting creates a charming atmosphere with many tiny lights that resemble an illuminated roof. Friendly staff. The highlight is the food, cooked according to tradition. The rabbit Nicastro style is delicious. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

28/05/2026: I was there with a group of friends, only to eat, I wouldn't know about lodgings. Old building(s), like a fortified farm/manor, with a large interior courtyard and verdant generous surroundings. Kind of difficult to get there (which is maybe better), we stayed about 10 km away, so no big effort for us. Quiet, almost eerie atmosphere, very relaxing, maybe we spoiled some of it laughing loudly, because it felt so good. True (I like to think) sicillian country experience. Nobody among us complained about the food (which is a very rare situation !). It was very good , ok maybe a confusion between a medium-rare fiorentino and a medium entrecote. It didn't matter. Best table red wine in ages. Grazie, Locanda Angelica!

14/06/2026: I've always been there and it's always been a good experience. Last night was AWFUL. Slow service, limp fries, poorly defrosted. The pizza with ham was of extremely poor quality. They've clearly changed it from a while ago, using stuff they don't even sell in discount stores. This is very serious for pizzas that average €15. Get back to the same standards as before, otherwise you're in for a bad turn.
