17/12/2025: Lunch here was a regular stop when we were in the area on weekdays (since on holidays you have to book well in advance). Unfortunately, yesterday it didn't go very well... (Did the chef change?) The appetizers were prepared who knows how long ago, even the seafood linguine was nothing like the ones we've had the other times, the grilled vegetables were burnt, the fish was the same story, only the calamari was okay, the shrimp contained sand, the swordfish (Oceanico) tasted old. The black truffle tasted only of ice. And a stomach ache... We were hungry and we gulped down the ceca, we were actually asked at the cashier how it had gone, but to avoid controversy, we paid and left because we didn't want to ruin our day. Obviously we won't be back again.
14/12/2025: The appetizers were okay, but the mussels...sorry, I know a lot about fish...and they were dirty, salty, inedible. The waiters were very unfriendly. The pasta with the lentils was okay, but very salty. In the end, the owner didn't charge for the mussels. But no thanks. There are much better places in Italy to eat fresh fish.

10/11/2025: We celebrated my daughter's birthday on Saturday, November 8th, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. As a florist had anticipated, "Daniela is a great hostess." Very good pizza. Fast and friendly service (something that isn't always the case at other places on a Saturday night). Highly recommended.

06/03/2026: A top-notch restaurant, both for the seafood and for the way the waiters and owner treat you like family. Living in a seaside town in the Marche region, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality-price ratio. I will definitely return.

08/02/2026: On Sunday evening, craving pizza, we were advised to book at the Peucezia pizzeria restaurant. Excellent selection, excellent service, and a warm welcome from a father and son. The paintings by Ciro Lupo on the walls are beautiful. The atmosphere is neat and clean, and you feel right at home; everyone is very friendly and cheerful. We'll be back to try the pasta and fish dishes. Excellent quality and prices.

25/01/2026: Since I discovered this restaurant, every time I'm in Taranto I want to go there and tell my colleagues about it.
The atmosphere is very refined, the service is attentive and punctual, the dishes are masterfully presented and are delicious and of the highest quality.
And when it comes to the fateful moment of the bill, you're even pleasantly surprised.
I find it strange not to have reviewed it before.
As I said, for years it has been a point of reference for me every time I visit Taranto. I will return and continue to recommend it.

09/02/2026: If I have to eat fish in Taranto, Il Canale Restaurant is always a must.
One of my absolute favorites: the fish is top-quality, the dishes are carefully prepared, and the flavors are always impeccable.
The location is truly breathtaking, perfect for both a romantic dinner and an evening with friends.
Special mention for the sea bass fillet: simply top-notch.
Eugenio and his son are a huge plus: always kind, helpful, and attentive to their customers, they truly make you feel at home.
Highly recommended to anyone who wants to eat real fish, prepared well, in a place that exudes passion and quality.

09/12/2025: We chose L'Essenza in Vista for the Immaculate Conception Lunch, and the experience was truly excellent. The chef's special menu was meticulously crafted and full of authentic flavors.
The land and sea appetizers were a great start: a selection of Martina Franca capocollo, blueberry burrata, and truly delicious mushroom meatballs, along with gratinated salmon cubes and cuttlefish in a creamy chickpea sauce. The portions were just right, and great attention was paid to the quality of the ingredients.
The seafood cavatelli were also delicious, creamy and fragrant, as was the sea bass turban with saffron velouté, exquisitely delicate. The side dish, a baked potato, was also excellent, perfectly complementing the dish.
To finish, a beautifully made puff pastry with cream and berries and a selection of fresh fruit. The service was courteous and punctual, and the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed.
A perfect celebration: good food, carefully prepared dishes, and great professionalism.
Highly recommended for events and celebrations!
