06/06/2025: ¡OH DIOS MÍO! Nos sentimos tan afortunados que pudimos entrar a este increíble restaurante. Nuestra experiencia con la cena fue 100% fantástica, desde el amuse bouche hasta el aperitivo y las cenas, tanto nuestros postres elegidos como los pequeños postres que vinieron con nuestra experiencia. El vino era fantástico de la bodega local Produttori di Manduria y el servicio era lo que cabría esperar de un restaurante de este calibre y, sin embargo, también amable, personal, y con un guiño. 09/12/2025: We chose L'Essenza in Vista for the Immaculate Conception Lunch, and the experience was truly excellent. The chef's special menu was meticulously crafted and full of authentic flavors. The land and sea appetizers were a great start: a selection of Martina Franca capocollo, blueberry burrata, and truly delicious mushroom meatballs, along with gratinated salmon cubes and cuttlefish in a creamy chickpea sauce. The portions were just right, and great attention was paid to the quality of the ingredients. The seafood cavatelli were also delicious, creamy and fragrant, as was the sea bass turban with saffron velouté, exquisitely delicate. The side dish, a baked potato, was also excellent, perfectly complementing the dish. To finish, a beautifully made puff pastry with cream and berries and a selection of fresh fruit. The service was courteous and punctual, and the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed. A perfect celebration: good food, carefully prepared dishes, and great professionalism. Highly recommended for events and celebrations!

21/09/2025: An experience that amazed me! Don't expect the usual restaurant and the usual dishes. It's all very good and refined. We tried the appetizers, with many specialties from both land and sea. The cleanliness of the place is impeccable. The dishes and glasses were sparkling. The staff was very polite and friendly. A place that's not at all crowded. Very simple and refined!

18/11/2025: Despite the late hour for lunch, Andrea was kind enough to find a solution and served us with great warmth and courtesy. I must also say that we ate very well. Highly recommended.

28/09/2025: A very well-kept and beautiful place both inside and out. Unfortunately, the only downside is the pizzas. The dough was very tough, probably not risen properly; you'd need a chainsaw to cut them. The selection of toppings wasn't particularly appealing. Only the gourmet bruschetta was good. The quality/price ratio was average.

21/09/2025: An evening to forget. The problem wasn't the food, but the absurd disrespect shown to the customers: they made us sit between the two bathroom doors. I pointed this out to the waitress, but she didn't do a thing to resolve the situation. I only stayed because we were among the first to arrive, and I already knew I'd be leaving within twenty minutes, and so I was. It wasn't an oversight, but a deliberate choice: to fill two extra seats, sacrificing the dignity of the people. This isn't hospitality, it's greed. A restaurant that treats its customers like this doesn't deserve it.

22/09/2025: Saturday evening, reservation for 9 pm. The outside space was almost empty, perhaps that's why the wait wasn't excessive. Only 20 minutes for four pizzas. The pizzas were very good. I strongly advise against the desserts: UNSUSPECTABLE. They were obviously defrosted in a microwave, which made them both frozen and "melted" at the same time. The liqueurs, requested at the table, weren't brought to us for some unknown reason. The location is beautiful, but parking is a problem. A pass, but not a full score.

16/09/2025: We dined here on Saturday evening, so I completely understand that the service can't be excellent, given the crowd. That said, we had a reservation for 9:30 PM, a table for two. We sat down, looked at the menu, and after 10 minutes, we asked the waiter if we could order. He told us he would call the manager. The manager arrived at the table at 10:15 PM. We ordered a portion of fries, which arrived fairly quickly, and two pizzas, which arrived at 11:45 PM...yes, an hour and a half wait. Out of respect for the work of others and a great deal of understanding, we didn't leave early. That said, the location is undoubtedly beautiful, but the wait times are excessive, suggesting poor internal organization. Therefore (for example), if you have 20 tables, a single person can't manage them. Furthermore, at the table next to ours there was a family with three children who had to wait the same amount of time. Luckily, the children had fallen asleep on the table in the meantime, otherwise poor parents dealing with children who unfortunately and naturally have less patience.

09/11/2025: A typical Martina Franca steakhouse serving mixed roast meats. There was a very long wait for service on a Saturday evening; the dishes we ordered arrived after over an hour. The meat was good and well-cooked, but the lack of adequate ventilation meant we went home stinking from head to toe.

04/11/2025: We wanted to try this new place. Unlike other places scattered around the Itria Valley, here you don't choose the meat directly from the counter with its scales, but from the menu. You'll understand that this way, the prices are higher and the actual weight isn't visible. To control both the amount of meat I'd eat and the cost, I politely asked if I could choose the meat from the counter. They said, "Yes, absolutely." After choosing, however, they only weighed a few items (the tagliata and the straccetti were missing). For this last order, I had asked for two tagliata: one thin, like a fetta (because my partner prefers it well done), and a regular, medium-rare one for me, plus a small portion of straccetti. I asked for the weight, but they told me, "A rough estimate: 220-250 grams for the small one, 280-300 grams for the large one." A rough estimate? At the table, we also ordered a cheese platter (I hate to say it, but it was clearly low-quality) and a bottle of water. After about twenty minutes, the meat arrived: two pieces of sausage, four livers, five bombettes, and a small prosciutto roll. Meanwhile, the pork strips also arrived, which in Martina Franca are usually made with capocollo, not veal as elsewhere. I politely asked the waiter not to bring everything at once, otherwise we'd be forced to eat quickly, with the meat getting cold and inedible. He replied, "OK," but before I could finish speaking, the small tagliata arrived, the one for my companion. At that point, I asked him to leave the other tagliata aside, because we'd had to eat everything too quickly and didn't feel like it anymore. As for the meat, I really enjoyed the livers and the tagliata; the rest was bland and overly salty. As I finished my last bite, the owner came over and asked if I wanted dessert or coffee: a polite way of letting us know we needed to get up, since there were other people waiting. But, in reality, we'd only just been seated. At the cashier, I informed the lady that a tagliata hadn't been brought and that they hadn't informed the kitchen. I still paid 18 euros for the small tagliata I received, essentially 70 euros per kilo. Even the pork strips, the weight of which I hadn't been told, cost 14 euros: again 70 euros per kilo. To recap: 400g of grilled meat 100-150g of strips 250g of tagliata 1 bottle of water 1 portion of cheeses Total: 58 euros. I wondered: if the second tagliata had also arrived and we'd had a couple of beers, would we have exceeded 90 euros? Are you serious, or are we kidding because it's Halloween time? Failed.

28/09/2025: Dinner in a rustic setting surrounded by greenery. Excellent cheese and cured meat platter, truly appetizing mixed fried fish. Traditional home cooking. Simple, delicious, and perfectly prepared dishes. Generous portions. Excellent mixed grill. Excellent desserts. Professional, impeccable service, always attentive and friendly. Welcoming but basic interior. The outdoor space, surrounded by greenery, definitely enhances the restaurant in summer. Average price. Highly recommended!

14/09/2025: A lovely restaurant located on a small hill just steps from Avetrana, offering a beautiful view of the countryside and the coast. The food is excellent; we especially ordered the pizza, which is made with Senatore Cappelli flour and we loved it. The fried foods we ordered before the pizza were also good. Prices are a bit higher than average (especially the €3 per person cover charge, which is perhaps a bit steep).

10/11/2025: We celebrated my daughter's birthday on Saturday, November 8th, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. As a florist had anticipated, "Daniela is a great hostess." Very good pizza. Fast and friendly service (something that isn't always the case at other places on a Saturday night). Highly recommended.

17/09/2025: Excellent welcome. We had dinner on the terrace, it was truly delightful. The antipatio was very good. The pizzas are excellent. The atmosphere is very pleasant, dining among the locals. A special treat for us. Thank you for this wonderful time to the entire team at Casa Lacorte.
