28/09/2024: Da Buona Salentina il conviviale è in primis la tavola di casa nostra . Appunto abbiamo rivisitato questo nome restaurant e persino l'aria ricorda noi in tutto . I piatti non solo abbondanti ma originali del territorio . Luigina è la mamma che apparecchia e serve con la dolcezza che contraddistingue le nostre mamme in cucina . Arriviamo sotto un porticato illuminato ad aria marina ( pochi passi dal mare ionio) un ciao "settative è pronto" accoglie un tavolo ordinato e funzionale . Antipastib( non finivano mai ) di terra nostra con vino a scelta . Primi di terra con opzione di ricotta scanta ...e qui i ricordi della mia nonna e papà."Sagne incannulate "e sugo che mai potreste assaggiare se non nel mio Salento . In quella serata la specialità del giorno " monicedde" ...ripetiamo ripetiamo e ripetiamo . Ma ora ....perché scrivere ancora ....vi mostro le foto ( alcuni piatti saltati al fotografo perché già buttato sul piatto ) .Vieni in Puglia e vuoi mangiare i piatti di una cucina "te casa " ??? VIENI QUI .

And I did it together with Antonio, chef and soul of this small restaurant who also addresses large events on a first-name basis. From the excellent food to the attention to detail, from the preparation of the rooms to the professionalism of the staff, Small created a ceremony to remember for me and my guests (also thanks to the splendid location of Tenuta Gatto in Caprarica). Highly recommended.

15/02/2025: Pessima esperienza e San Valentino rovinato da un gesto davvero poco elegante. La mia ragazza ordina un panino chiedendo esplicitamente di togliere la crema al caciocavallo poichè non lo mangia. Inutile a dirlo, il panino arriva con la fonduta al caciocavallo, malgrado si fosse assicurata che la cameriera avesse capito (tanto che quest'ultima le chiede anche se fosse allergica/intollerante). Lo facciamo subito notare al cameriere che ci dice prontamente che l'avrebbe rifatto. Nemmeno 2 minuti che il piatto ci torna indietro "pulito" (non so e non voglio sapere in quale maniera) dalla crema al formaggio che ovviamente rimane in alcune parti e continua ad avere il suo odore molto forte essendo caciocavallo. Solo dopo aver richiesto nuovamente al titolare il panino ci viene rifatto. Peccato che prima di essere riportato ci siano voluti ben 30 minuti (bisognava solo ricuocere un petto di pollo) nei quali ci passavano davanti tutti gli altri ordini. Purtroppo inutile dire che abbiamo dovuto mangiare in due momenti diversi, situazione abbastanza antipatica proprio nella sera di San Valentino. Nemmeno delle scuse sul tentativo di "aprire, vivisezionare il panino e provarlo a pulire senza risultati". Nemmeno uno sconto o un omaggio ad un conto già caro di per sè. Davvero delusi da questo comportamento che purtroppo si poteva tranquillamenre evitare. Comprendo il caos della sera, ma ricordiamoci che il cliente il cibo lo paga e avevamo fatto soltanto una semplice richiesta, non molteplici modifiche.

24/01/2025: Great welcome and great food. We had meatballs with sauce, parmigiana, pizza, mixed roast and baked potatoes. All very good! The guys in the room were very polite and kind. Minimum waiting times even though it was full and packed and there were also pizzas to take away

08/02/2025: Degustazione sontuosa con alcuni piatti epici, superiori per tecnica e gusto a tanti altri assaggiati in ristoranti stellati. Migliore esperienza culinaria fatta in provincia di Lecce. Allo chef direi, come si dice in salentino stretto... "Tie nu ii stare quai!". Ritorneremo senza ombra di dubbio.

16/02/2025: Vorrei sinceramente fare i miei più grandi complimenti al ragazzo che ha curato i nostri ordini in sala e ai cuochi del ristorante che ci hanno deliziati con i loro piatti. Siamo stati lì il 15 febbraio per un esperienza che ho voluto regalare al mio compagno e che comprendeva il percorso spa davvero rilassante e che ci ha regalato tanto relax ed una cena nel ristorante della struttura. Siamo rimasti davvero senza parole per l’ottima preparazione e la qualità dei piatti serviti. Grandi davvero, ottima scoperta, ritorneremo senz’altro!!

15/02/2025: È stata una esperienza unica ed indimenticabile. Hotel dotato di ogni comfort, pulizia estrema, camere ampie, nuove e ben arredate. A questo si aggiunge la grande professionalità del personale che rende questo Hotel eccellente e di una cordialità che non si trova ovunque. Cibo ottimo e attenti ad ogni minimo dettaglio e sapore. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente, grazie ancora ❤️

21/01/2025: I had the opportunity to have lunch at this restaurant on a Saturday. I have to say it was a truly memorable experience. The restaurant is located in an enchanting position, a stone's throw from the sea, with a relaxing and romantic atmosphere. The staff is extremely kind and professional, offering impeccable service. The menu is full of delicious options, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I tried almost all the starters together with my girlfriend: a riot of truly succulent flavors and the quality of the fish was excellent. As a first course we had a seafood carbonara and ravioli filled with purple potatoes with fish sauce, a culinary surprise in every bite, all accompanied by two glasses of white and rosé wine recommended by the house. We concluded lunch with a tiramisu and an almond paste tart filled with chocolate: the first (served inside a meringue), which personally didn't make me crazy, I would have simply added one as an accompaniment. The second course was served on a coulis of wild berries and was simply delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and with attention to the smallest details, with a Lecce stone ceiling that adds a touch of authenticity. It is the ideal place for a special dinner or to celebrate an important occasion, but also just to indulge in a quiet and elegant meal. In summary, the Underground Fish Restaurant is a great choice for those looking for an unforgettable dining experience. I can't wait to go back!

13/01/2025: Castro is wonderful, both the town and the sea. This restaurant was a surprise. Very nice inside, with outdoor seating. We stayed on January 3rd. We only ate a seafood salad which was served as an appetizer with 1 glass of wine. A little expensive €25 out of season, but the location is worth it. I can't imagine the prices in season 😊

14/01/2025: On New Year's Day, my wife and I went for lunch at the Pignata restaurant, a small but beautiful, charming and welcoming place. The staff were very kind and helpful, we ate a divine spaghetti with mussels, and fried calamari cooked just right, not greased with oil, soft on the inside and nice crunchy on the outside, all accompanied by a nice glass of local white wine at the right temperature. What can I say, my impression was excellent, which is why I recommend it to everyone.
