19/01/2025: Raramente recensisco, solo nei casi che la struttura sia o meritevole di nota o in casi pessimi, entrambe situazioni che devono essere evidenziate. In questo specifico caso, con mia sorpresa rientriamo nella prima, meritevole di essere raccontata e raccomandata. Un sabato di gennaio, bassa stagione, intorno le 13,45 per Verbania, decido di pranzare senza prenotare. Entriamo al ristorante, completamente vuoto, chiedendo un tavolo per due. Immediatamente veniamo fatti accomodare. Cortesia, professionalità, i tempi e i modi del personale, in questo caso una giovane donna, sono garbati e coi tempi giusti nel servizio e nel muoversi in sala. Decidiamo per due antipasti: Uovo 63^C con patate, aglio nero, fonduta di Maccagno e chips di patata dolce e una Trota salmonata con composta di cipolla rossa, broccolo piccante marinato e caprino. I piatti risultano molto equilibrati ma curiosi, la trota spettacolare per la consistenza e la delicata affumicatura mentre l’uovo intrigante nella sua particolarità. Successivamente passiamo ad ordinare i secondi: Kakiage di lago (frittura di verdure e pesce in pastella) con maionese alla senape ed un Maialino croccante con arachidi, zucca al peperoncino, radicchio rosso leggermente fermentato e riduzione di dolcetto. Freschezza dei prodotti e perfetta cottura. Per la frittura di lago la pastella leggerissima, asciutta e croccante, verdure abbondanti e pesce, storione in questo caso, perfetto. Il maialino cotto a bassa temperatura poi fritto, ha ottenuto una consistenza e croccantezza divertente e sorprendente. Complimenti per tecniche utilizzate. Per il dolce ci siamo fatti ispirare da un Riso e latte con mandorle ed amarene e poi da una Fiocca con crumble alla castagna e mirtilli. Entrambi buoni leggeri e curiosi. Il tutto accompagnato da un calice di Lagrein rosé di Andriano per il pesce e da un calice di Péperi di Podere ai Valloni per il maialino. Complimenti per il servizio sala ma soprattutto cucina, merita sicuramente una visita.

19/01/2025: …ma la cura e l’attenzione per il cliente è sempre la stessa! Abbiamo pranzato al ristorante Il Portale a Pallanza e l’esperienza è stata davvero fantastica. Abbiamo scelto alcune delle specialità del menu e ogni piatto ci ha conquistato per la qualità degli ingredienti e la cura nella preparazione. L’atmosfera del locale è accogliente e rilassante, ideale per un pranzo piacevole in buona compagnia. Il servizio è stato impeccabile: personale cordiale, professionale e sempre attento alle nostre esigenze. Un posto che consigliamo vivamente a chi cerca un pranzo di qualità in un ambiente raffinato. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

10/10/2024: It doesn't have Michelin stars only because Chef and owner Agostino doesn't want it, but it certainly deserves at least 2. The cuisine is excellent and refined with an eye to local tradition. The historic restaurant is beautiful with a wonderful terrace overlooking the lake. It also has a private dock for those wishing to arrive by boat. Overall, a beautiful place!

25/09/2024: Vor Jahren waren wir öfters im Milano und immer voll zufrieden. Leider können wir das von unserem letzten Besuch nicht sagen. Grundsätzlich waren alle höflich, der Service allerdings für ein solches Restaurant zu lausig und gleichgültig. Das Essen war nur durchschnittlich. Es wurde ein Safranrisotto als Beilage bestellt ... vergessen. Danach wurde innerhalb ein paar Minuten ein "Ruck-Zuck-Reis" gebracht, welcher grausam schmeckte und eine total pampige Konsistenz hatte. Im Wintergarten (wunderschöne Aussicht) war es recht kalt ... Wärmequellen wären von Vorteil. Preis absolut zu hoch für das, was geboten wird.

03/01/2025: We had lunch in this typical restaurant on January 1, 2025. Since it was the first of the year, it was difficult to find something open but by doing research we immediately found the Osteria degli Specchi... a historic place with typical Piedmontese cuisine and affable and friendly management. Mrs. Monica welcomes you with kindness and honesty. The Plin ravioli and homemade gnocchi are delicious! We will happily return

28/12/2024: Posto accogliente, caratteristico, personale simpatico e preparato, cucina casalinga e gustosa, prezzi nella norma. Più che soddisfatti!

31/12/2024: Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante la sera di San Silvestro, sono stati molto accoglienti e carini nel aggiustare il menù “fisso” (di capodanno) secondo le nostre esigenze alimentari, pasti buoni ma il dolce non é il loro punto forte. Per il resto ci siamo sentiti molto a nostro agio grazie al servizio attento e curato.

11/10/2024: Accueil chaleureux ! Mais surtout une cuisine qui fait du bien. Poissons, légumes et salades d’une extrême fraîcheur. Le tout dans des compositions originales mais simples ce qui permet de bien goûter aux produits. On sort enfin des éternelles pâtes, pizzas et autres hamburgers. Les propositions de vin ne sont pas en reste pour des prix convenant à toutes les bourses. Les plats,aussi, à prix plus que raisonnable mais pour un grand plaisir. Merci aux patrons pour leur écoute et leur attention...en français.

06/01/2025: I finally managed to have lunch at the restaurant, a comfortable place, very good food, excellent signature pizza. Dogs are allowed (me with 2) very essential for me. Friendly and kind staff.

05/01/2025: Excellent food, well cared for and well cooked, friendly staff. The only flaw is the manager: a detached attitude bordering on rude. No greeting upon arrival or departure, no nod during dinner…. Different attitude with those he knew. Too bad, the restaurant is worth it but I won't return.

05/01/2025: Sorry, the conditions were excellent and the expectations were high. The reservation has been made and space for 3 small children has been anticipated. We arrived and placed the children in seats brought from home and already there the irritated staff murmured that it was not a place for children, perhaps convinced that we were deaf or something. Among other things, the children, being children in fact, laughed, and certainly did not speak in a low voice but did not hinder the work of the employees, so much so that in order not to disturb them we stood in a corner at the entrance to play with them. Moving on to the sore point, the hasty clearing of the table with the placement of the cake in the center and at the end, make do with the cutting. "How many coffees?" The message that was conveyed was the sooner you get out of the box, the better it is for us. In conclusion, I think that if you want to maintain a customer target where children are not welcome, you say so at the time of booking and one adapts, there are many restaurants where you can fortunately go, but when you accept children with child seats in the restaurant you cannot then complain because the tone of their voices is not the classic murmur of an adult having dinner, they are children and you can't force them to stay silent and silent, the takings probably mattered more than the pro forma. Definitely a place that I don't recommend in terms of service, especially if you have small children, food is up to taste and even if you aren't married to mine at all I prefer not to get angry. Never again!

03/11/2024: Sono stato in questo ristorante a pranzo con la mia famiglia e devo dire che che sono stato molto molto soddisfatto. Posto molto carino accogliente con personale capace e gentilissimo. Complimenti al cuoco,tutti i piatti dall'antipasto al dolce sono stati gustosissimi, veramente ottimi C'E' inoltre un'ottima scelta di vini. Bravissimiiii !!! sicuramente ritornero'.
