08/02/2026: I accidentally booked a table at this unfamiliar restaurant, trusting my instincts. I discovered that under the previous owner, the restaurant had a Michelin star. Now run by three young men, it has certainly lost nothing: service, cuisine, presentation, ambiance, and menu are absolutely up to the level of a Michelin star. The prices, however, are not, and are at a normal level. I really appreciated the presentation and description of the dishes I ordered; this only happens in high-end establishments. So, in my opinion, the value for money isn't excellent, but it's amazing. It will definitely be a point of reference to consider when in the area.

03/03/2026: A must to go go place when in Verbania, better call for a reservation especially over the weekend. The menu offers a variety of well crafted dishes for all tastes and a wide selection of wine. The interior is decorated with personalized touches from the friendly owners and the outside patio is in a beautiful small piazza. Good for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner.

06/12/2025: Food was delicious when we were there in May - we had pizza, pasta and some of the veggie specials. We ate here 4 times on our stay in Pallanza and felt lucky to have found a genuine, non touristy trattoria. Would recommend. Worth booking ahead.

Medium-large pizzas, crispy and thin crust, generous toppings with any ingredients you want. Always fresh ingredients, especially freshly sliced ​​cured meats and fresh mozzarella. I love you! 14/03/2026: Dam a Traa has been a regular stop for me for many years, and now that I live far from Verbania, it's a real pleasure to stop by for a bite every time I return to the city. Whether you're in its rustic, osteria-like dining rooms in winter or at the tables near the lake in summer, the abundance, quality, and attentive service are guaranteed. The portions are gigantic and the dishes are truly excellent; furthermore, the fact that the menu changes frequently, while maintaining some signature dishes, makes each visit a new discovery. During my last dinner, I opted for fish and left feeling full and satisfied. The paccheri with diced swordfish, vegetables, Taggiasca olives, and capers were phenomenal: perfectly cooked pasta and a flavorful sauce that paired divinely with the fish. The real highlight, however, was the tuna steak: an absolute delight, tender and tasty even on its own, without the need for additional spices. Honorable mention goes to the trofie with pistachio cream and flambéed shrimp, a truly clever and successful combination. The price is incredibly fair, especially considering the excellent quality-to-quantity ratio.

09/03/2026: There are no complaints about the food or the quality of the dishes. The service is at an all-time low. It's a shame the owner isn't addressing this behavior. This is a place where you should not only leave a review, but also file a police report. Permissiveness, rudeness, and aggression from a waiter with a tattoo on his arm.

24/10/2025: Beautiful place! Even though it's autumn, I enjoyed eating outside thanks to the sunny weather. Excellent food, generous portions. The waitress was very kind and helpful.

20/09/2025: A very nice terrace on the first floor, and very friendly and charming service. The fresh pasta and fish dishes are particularly good. The portions are generous; it's hard to manage three full courses. Ideally, therefore, starters and side dishes are shared. We had the eggplant timbale and the mussels as starters, and both were very aromatic. The kitchen also prepares meat excellently. A particularly positive aspect is that many wines are available by the glass, so you can try more. We enjoyed the hospitality several times.
