20/04/2026: I visited Taverna Mari in Grottaferrata and had a truly delightful experience. Four of us arrived without a reservation, even quite late at 3:00 PM, and yet we were greeted with great courtesy and helpfulness. A detail we truly appreciated. The restaurant is welcoming, with attention to detail.
The staff was kind, helpful, and always attentive without being intrusive. The dishes were beautifully presented, prepared with quality ingredients, and had an authentic flavor. You could sense their passion for traditional cuisine and the attention to detail in every course.
The quality-price ratio was also excellent, considering the level of service and cuisine. A place we'd love to return to and one I recommend to anyone who wants to eat well in the Castelli Romani area. Congratulations!

03/02/2026: We ate yesterday at this truly special place. As soon as you walk in, you immediately sense its authenticity. It's like stepping back in time. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food is superb (the portions are equally superb), and the staff are friendly! It took us 40 minutes to get there, but it was worth it.
01/02/2026: I visited this restaurant with my wife, and what can I say? The good food and generous portions put it above average for castles. The restaurant has a very charming country-chic feel, although in my opinion, there are too many seats and it's quite cramped. The service is also quite attentive and friendly. From what I've written, some might wonder why it's given 3 stars. The reason is simple: I found the prices quite high for the quality of the food, but let's take things in order:
The €4 cover charge per person, which includes table settings and service, would suggest something high-end, but the glasses and cutlery were dull. For that price, cutlery and glasses should shine.
The food here is also quite high-priced. I have no complaints about the quality of the ingredients, but if you're charging €18 for a plate of tortelli, I expect them to be the right shape and not fall apart during cooking. We paid €91 for two appetizers, two first courses, and a dessert with a bottle of water. I think the bill is a bit overpriced. In my humble opinion, the correct bill would have been between 75 and 80 euros.

24/03/2026: I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The experience fell far short of my expectations: the service was slow and inattentive, even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. We waited a long time both to order and to receive our food. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the wait. The dishes arrived lukewarm and lacked any particular attention to presentation. The value for money leaves much to be desired, considering the amount paid. Overall, there's a lack of customer service and organization. I don't think I'll return, and I wouldn't recommend it. The owner was very rude.
24/03/2026: I went to eat at this restaurant with my family. The food was disappointing; I actually felt sick. They didn't even issue a receipt. The meat had an unpleasant taste. The staff was poor. The owner was very arrogant.

16/11/2025: We found ourselves there by chance, there would be a few things to review, the owner/waiter was very kind, the atmosphere was quiet, a little more attention to the food would be appreciated, in any case the prices were fair.
13/08/2025: A simple osteria in a location we found by chance, very close to the abbey. The atmosphere was relaxed, the owner who welcomed us was very friendly and professional, and the food was excellent, made with top-quality ingredients, and the prices were lower than average. We had a great time.
