20/01/2025: An Inn that is a jewel; and it seems normal that certain jewels are not found on the street, you have to deserve them. Catering is a strange exercise: the customer pays for a service and evaluates what he has received in exchange for money. The Locanda del Ditirambo is one of the rare places, rare even in Ciociaria, where not only this is offered, where not only work but also passion is brought into play, where you feel the people inside the things, and the effort becomes pleasure, luxury. Of course, nothing is perfect, but everything has a different meaning for the customer when it is understood that on the other hand they want at all costs, with stubbornness, to improve things, and perhaps improve an already good product, go further, and then even what seem like small imperfections become a necessary part of beauty, not only because they make it domestic and affable. Here, let's talk about the menu, quite small (which is almost always a guarantee of a job done in-house and done well); but first of all I would like to talk about the bread, which the chef prepares himself, delicious. Then, without being linear, I'm surprised by the desserts, which you won't find in any other restaurant, because they don't come from a van, from a factory, from a pastry shop, but from these four walls: what a spectacle! What a spectacle a chef who breaks his head to bring you his own desserts at the end of the meal, and makes them as God commands! The trio of starters imposes itself as a must, with the potato pie as the prince, a great invention; then the meat second courses, with the excellent pork neck with smoky and sweet and sour notes, and a traditional bufaletta (Ciociaria buffalo stew) among the best I have ever tasted. I will return, yes of course, and I will return for the first courses, which I have not tasted; and for the cellar, which seems really well stocked. It is a place where, unless you are very dense, you return: a place of the heart.

20/01/2025: Una Locanda che è un gioiello; e sembra normale che certi gioielli non si trovino così, sulla via, bisogna meritarseli. La ristorazione è un esercizio strano: il cliente paga un servizio e valuta quello che ha ricevuto in cambio di denaro. La Locanda del Ditirambo è uno dei rari posti, rari anche in Ciociaria, dove non si offre solo questo, dove si mette in gioco oltre al lavoro anche la passione, dove si sentono le persone dentro le cose, e la fatica si fa piacere, lusso. Per carità, niente è perfetto, ma tutto ha un altro senso per il cliente quando si capisce che dall'altra parte si vuole ad ogni costo, con testardaggine, migliorare le cose, e magari migliorare un prodotto già buono di suo, andare oltre, e allora persino quelle che sembrano piccole imperfezioni diventano parte necessaria del bello, non solo perché lo rendono domestico e affabile. Ecco, parliamo del menu', abbastanza ridotto (che è quasi sempre garanzia di un lavoro fatto in proprio e fatto bene); ma prima di tutto vorrei parlare del pane, che lo chef prepara da sé, delizioso. Poi, senza essere lineare, sorprendermi dei dolci, che non troverete in nessun altro ristorante, perché non vengono da un furgone, da una fabbrica, da una pasticceria, ma da queste quattro mura: ma che spettacolo! Che spettacolo un cuoco che si rompe la testa per portarvi i propri dolci a fine pasto, e li fa come dio comanda! Il tris di antipasti si impone come un must, col tortino di patate a farla da principe, una grande invenzione; poi i secondi di carne, coll'ottimo collo di maiale con note affumicate e agrodolci, e una tradizionale bufaletta (stufato di bufala ciociara) tra le più buone mai assaggiate. Tornerò, si certo, e tornerò per i primi, che non ho assaggiato; e per la cantina, che sembra proprio ben fornita. È un posto dove, a meno di non essere proprio ottusi, si torna: un posto del cuore.

26/01/2025: Ambiente accogliente e unico, cucina ottima con molta scelta . Gentili e attenti i camerieri. Solo un consiglio: i capelli quando si gira per i tavoli,sia per sparecchiare, che quando si portano a tavola i piatti , vanno legati; e mi riferisco alla cameriera più grande. Ho avuto il terrore di ritrovarmeli nel piatto .

20/01/2025: Location non facilissima da raggiungere ma vale la pena anche di fare due passi a piedi nelle stradine caratteristiche del borgo. Della cucina cosa dire .....40 anni di esperienza al servizio dei palati più esigenti. Cibo ottimo e ricercato, cantina fornitissima e prezzi contenuti. Personale e servizio al top, peccato che il proprietario sia antipatico ..... Scherzo naturalmente, Amedeo è molto simpatico, attento e disponibile. Trattoria Consolare è una garanzia

If you are looking for an authentic culinary experience, made of simple and genuine flavours, in a welcoming and familiar environment, Trattoria Sestilio is the right place. The dishes are simple, homemade and really delicious. I really appreciated the care taken in choosing the fresh, quality ingredients. Each course was a riot of genuine flavours, which reminded me of Sunday family lunches. The atmosphere is familiar and welcoming. The restaurant is furnished in a simple but refined way, with details that recall tradition. I immediately felt at ease, like at home. The staff was very kind and attentive, always ready to satisfy my requests with a smile. I really appreciated their friendliness and the passion they put into their work. The quality of the food and service is excellent, especially considering the very honest price. I highly recommend Trattoria Sestilio to those looking for an authentic culinary experience, made up of genuine flavors and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A place where you can feel pampered and enjoy simple dishes prepared with love.

19/01/2025: Io la mia Compagna, incuriositi e seguendo le ottime recensioni ,siamo capitati per la prima volta ( 12 gennaio 2025 ) in questa storica trattoria e siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti e soddisfatti dapprima del locale, della pulizia ,dell’attenzione rivolta ai clienti , dalla cortesia e professionalità dei camerieri tutti. Tutto sicuramente importante e non scontato! Ma…la cosa più piaciuta e gradita : tutto cio che si era mangiato. A partire dalla pasta fatta giornalmente in casa e ben esposta in una grande vetrina frigo illuminata. i secondi , solo per definizione ai primi. Tutto ottimo e da consigliare senza timore alcuno!! dimenticavo , rapporto qualità prezzo: 10 e LODE

06/01/2025: We had a wonderful stay at villa euchelia. Very nice room and wonderful environment. The food was wonderful with very nice staff and a very family atmosphere. Simply a place that I can really recommend. Already looking forward to the next time I get to visit this wonderful place again.

08/12/2024: very nice structure overall and impeccable cleanliness. Very good breakfast with large assortment What we didn't like · honestly a room on the 4th floor with only one air conditioner which was insufficient to heat the room, made us feel quite cold. I reported it at dinner time (even though we had already had the air conditioning on for 6 hours) and they came to check without getting any improvement. In the report I also asked for an extra blanket, but I was brought a tiny throw (the kind for a child's bed) which I only put on my wife's side of the bed. Bitter surprise also at checkout, where, despite the booking including half board, I was charged 6 euros for the service which did not appear at the time of booking. It's not for the 6 euros per se, but it seems ridiculous to me to make the customer pay for the waiter's service which should be included in the price of dinner. The dinner assortment was also very limited compared to other external customers who ate from the à la carte menu instead of half board like us. A real shame to get lost in these things. Also at check out I learned that the staff was aware of the malfunction of the second air conditioner in the bathroom and that it would have allowed you to take a shower without feeling the chills. I repeat, it is a beautiful structure which however has lost its way on significant things

04/02/2025: Very scenic, an enchanting place, the eye is certainly attracted by the infinite details that characterize the furnishings of this restaurant. I would say the efficient service was almost excessive. Impeccable wine list, we ate an appetizer of porcini fondue, a platter with excellent local products and very generous first courses.

20/12/2024: We went in October for my father's birthday... What can I say: everything was excellent... Stunning location right in the center of the town with a spectacular view of the valley. Quality fresh fish and generous portions.. We started with a seafood appetizer, fusilli alla reef (there was so much fish that you couldn't see the pasta), sea bream en crust with prawns.. Sweet fruit (spectacular thousand leaves)... Competent and attentive staff. Reserved parking. Excellent value for money

02/02/2025: Typical cuisine and more. Excellent cheese and pepper. Mixed pasta with cannellini beans from Atina and sublime crunchy bacon. Delicious meatballs and boned chicken leg. Ingredients of the highest order and Cabernet from Atina perfect. Excellent service and bill. Location from a well-kept village tavern located in the beautiful and welcoming historic center of Casalvieri.

27/01/2025: Per valutare una pizza è fondamental considerare la qualità degli ingredienti. La farina, il pomodoro, la mozzarella e l'olio d'oliva devono essere di alta qualità. Una pizza fatta con ingredienti freschi e genuini avrà un sapore migliore e sarà più salutare. L'impasto è l'elemento più importante qui oltre personale cortese gentile sorridente la qualità eccellente. Complimenti a tutto lo staff, grazie serata trascorsa piacevolmente.

22/01/2025: Locale curato con bella atmosfera. La proposta è interessante particolare ma senza esagerare. Buonissimi i gamberoni fritti con pasta kataifi, morbidi e gustosi si squagliavano in bocca, consiglio giusto più mayo per i più golosi, buonissimi anche gli spaghettoni. Personale gentile e cordiale. Il dolce (caprese) non mi ha entusiasmato ed ho trovato un po’ mini la porzione , il baccalà con crema verde buono il pesce ma crema estremamente piccante che lo ha rovinato. Ora non ricordo se nel menù era segnalato e può esser stata una mia svista dato che non gradisco il piccante. Comunque consigliato in zona!!!

07/01/2025: Immerso in un meraviglioso borgo antico questo ristorante trasmette già all'ingresso un'atmosfera conviviale e calorosa,la location è elegante con le pietre a vista ed un arredamento attento al particolare,il personale accogliente e sempre pronto con il sorriso cosa dire del cibo?Tutto sublime:dagli affettati locali e formaggi,un pane ai semi leggero e friabilissimo,i miei fusilloni alla crema di broccoli con fonduta di parmigiano straordinari così come lo spaghetto di Gragnano con acciughe e carciofi tutto equilibrato,ingredienti di qualità, abbinamenti top con ottimo vino e dolci succulenti...la nostra esperienza compreso il conto finale è stata eccellente e non vedo l'ora di tornarci
