I'm an elderly traveler from Bologna with some restaurant experience... Well, I accidentally discovered this little gem... Simple cuisine with top-quality ingredients, you really taste the sea in every dish. It now forces me to detour when I pass through Friuli Venezia Giulia those three or four times a year.

04/10/2025: I usually never leave reviews unless I try a place at least a second time, but this time I'm making an exception.
The restaurant deserves five stars for the quality of the food, the owners' passion for their craft, the charming location, and, last but not least, the Palestinian flag at the entrance.
I ate a delicious boreto on a cold October evening; I hope to return soon to try other dishes.

12/09/2025: I went for lunch today with my husband. Everything was excellent, the place was beautiful and well-decorated, and the food was excellent. We had two fricos as appetizers, two excellent first courses, and two desserts. The wine, water, and coffee were excellent. €90 was more than good.
I can't wait to go back.

17/11/2025: Blanch is a guarantee of quality. A wide selection of well-cooked dishes. The specialty is the pasta with rooster sauce, which is delicious. Main courses include veal shank, Venetian-style liver, roast beef, and cod. The desserts include the puff pastry with cream sauce, which is excellent. Definitely worth a try.

28/08/2025: While the restaurant retains the same name, its menu and decor have changed since the info on Google. That said, there were five of us for lunch. Three small first courses tasted fairly bland (the trofie with white ragù and pecorino tasted only of meat, with no hint of cheese). The truly annoying thing was the endless wait! An hour for three first courses and a steak. The bill was steep, as always when restaurants revamp themselves with a new, modern and, in my opinion, bland style.
The garden is beautiful.

16/10/2025: We ate here without a reservation. We got a good table. The manager spoke good German. The drinks were served quickly. We ordered a pizza calzone and a steak with arugula and potatoes. The food was very good. But the entire service, including the bill, was poor. We were given an interim receipt instead of a cash receipt. The manager then disappeared; no one came to settle the bill. We ended up having to go into the store and give him the money.

23/09/2025: The place is really ugly. The staff is friendly. The food is mediocre. Augusto is certainly not typical cuisine. Indefinable.
10/09/2025: We went to see the small town of Gorizia, very pretty but not very lively. We looked up food on Google and found this restaurant (there were only a few open).
I should mention there were two waiters, one dark-haired with a thinning, rather scruffy and dry hair, while the other was a guy with a short bob, very friendly and pleasant.
As for the food, it was pretty average. The worst thing was the price: two people with a starter, main course, dessert, and a coffee—nothing out of the ordinary. We didn't eat eels or anything like that—they charged us €138.40 (almost €70 per person).
It's a real steal, as for that price you'd almost be eating in a Michelin-starred establishment.
