18/05/2025: Modern decor and atmosphere betray the fact that it is one of the oldest restaurants in Modena, in an intimate and welcoming square. Highly trained, attentive and friendly staff who present the numerous and attractive off-menu dishes to the table. In fact, dishes arrive expertly presented and prepared with care. I skip the appetizers but the table tasted them with considerable pleasure. My first course is a Nido: a basket of tagliolini very (too?) loaded with ragù. Even the spaghetti alla chitarra cacio e pepe with broad beans and scampi requested by a guest are very well presented but almost too robust. Characteristics that can excite many other palates. I close with a pleasant strawberry and balsamic vinegar ice cream. Good Lambrusco di Sorbara to accompany the dishes. Average cost for an evening to recommend to lovers of rich and sustained flavors.

03/05/2025: I went there for lunch with family and friends after visiting the Ferrari museum (less than 10 minutes by car). The restaurant is just outside Maranello surrounded by greenery. All the dishes are great classics of the area's cuisine, the tortelloni Vecchia Modena are exceptional. The meat second courses are also excellent. Definitely an excellent choice for those looking for a restaurant in the Maranello area (Modena Sud motorway exit). Highly recommended.

27/04/2025: Camerieri speciali Ci siamo fermati a mangiare qui per caso…un caso fortunato perché ci siamo sentiti coccolati da Anna e da tutto lo staff! Proprio come a casa! Il mangiare eccellente! Che dire? Consigliatissimo!

15/04/2025: A place that from the outside seemed very crowded due to various birthdays, inside it is very large and the place was found quickly even though we didn't book (x7). Friendly and nice waitresses, fairly fast service, top pizza + sorbets. I haven't been back for 3 years and I regret it, I hope to come more often, highly recommended!

26/03/2025: What to say. We spend over 200Euro for 3 nights there. It was just near our hotel. We did not wanted to travel to have a dinner. Pizza was ok... but NOT WOW". Just regular pizza you can eat. Thin but not crispy. Staff was kind first 3 days while we eated and payed the bills. Last knight we ordered one "tagliata di manzo" and one "Entracote grilled". And the drama started... Tagliata was OK, but the Entracote... the meat was terrible. Taste nad smell was not OK. The staff was kind and take it back. But returned the same meat more grilled and over kooked. At the mean time, second dish - tagliata get cold. We returned again as the overkooking do not change the bad taste of the meat. They took it again and after another several minutes of waiting we received another Entracoke, but with different thickness of the meat and this time heavy overcooked. Only a very small part of the meat were it was thicker was medium to welldone, all the rest was heavy welldone. When we told them that we ordered the steak "meduim", they started to ensure us that we have received it like this. It was not unfortunately. So we did not eated this one as it was not good cooked. We even did not taste the meat, it was brown inside. We requested to change the meal, as obvuously the steak was not possible to eat. ANd as the first Tagliata was OK, we just asked the same dish one more time. Another minutes of wating. Finaly second tagliata come. Well coocked, but obviously made from the same piece of meat which they made the first entracote. The meat was with the same bad taste as the first entracote. So we did not eat this either. We shared and eated only the first Tagliata and stay a bit hungry. At the end we received a bill with two tagliatas, italian cuperto included and 8 euro overcharge. "When we asked what is this?" was explained that the steacks were perfect but we returned them :) Anyway, we are disapointed from this place, but wish them success and to check they meet before serve it to the clients. Good luck! P.S. We were disapointed, but not frustrated. Actually we have no plans to post a bad review, and that's why we did not took a pictures, but the lady owner at the cashier, changed my mind, when charge us over the bill because of their mistakes.

27/05/2025: Magnificent lunch at Franceschetta! I'll start by saying that the guys in the dining room are all young and very polite. A welcome entrée is offered and then you move on to the dishes ordered. The dish, in my case the chicken was very soft and well balanced. I recommend the wine pairing recommended by the guys in the dining room.

25/05/2025: Parto dal concetto che questo luogo, per miei motivi privati, è nel cuore quindi purtroppo si parte (sbagliando) con aspettative molto alte. Fummo qui diversi anni fa e quindi....e quindi! Quindi: Menù degustazione " i Love Modena" senza cuore e onestamente senza un reale e solido filo conduttore. Sapori decisi, marcati , forse esageratamente, e con un idea generale che non ha incontrato il nostro palato, indi per cui veramente gusto soggettivo. Spago chitarra da dimenticare: ok tiepido ma era freddo! e salsa completamente slegata. Sono Emiliano quindi il raviolo, cappelletto o tortellino che dir si voglia è e deve essere un MUST: crudo ed insipido. Da menzione sicuramente dessert e cicciolo! (occhio al prezzemolo però). Unico consiglio che do da profano: assaggiare prima di servire. Servizio: mi astengo, eccezion fatta per il ragazzo che ci ha accompagnato nel percorso vini: TANTO empatico, sul pezzo e cordiale. Carta vini: ampiamente migliorabile ma con degne note di merito. Conto: in linea con la tendenza ormai generale quindi a discrezione si sogni e tasche. Ci tornerò? Sicuramente si perché una cosa ho imparato nella vita: a cuor non si comanda!

27/05/2025: I only give 5 stars, because more cannot be given Romantic and chic environment, but at the same time, irony of the Neapolitan waiters who give you the warmth of Naples, without chatter!! Top atmosphere! Top place! The food, over top! I had a grilled fish, I think the best I have ever eaten! Then I was offered many little things, which make the difference! Guys, Naples is another level, and this restaurant reflects everything.. Congratulations indeed! If you want to spend a nice evening, with friends, romantically, or just like I was for work, this restaurant makes your evening better!!!!!

12/05/2025: Historic place in Modena that I hadn't been to for a long time. I liked the presentation with appetizers and prosecco. We chose to have dinner with fish first courses which we liked. Congratulations for the final White Rose offered to the girls.
