Kasai In Praiano

A restaurant with a stunning sea view, attentive service from friendly, attentive, and very professional staff. Perfect for a quiet dinner with friends. Superb food. Highly recommended!

This is the kind of high-end professional restaurant you’d see in Manhattan. Incredible and creative food with lovely service in a beautiful location. A very different experience from every other restaurant we went to in 2 weeks across Italy.

We were optimistic because of the high reviews, but it was probably the restaurant that we enjoyed the least during our trip. Did not really enjoy the food that much. Service was awesome though.

A fabulous location high up on the slopes of Praiano, offering spectacular, uninterupted, views over the adjacent coastline and Mediterannean seascape. The outside dining area is located between a quiet road and the hillside overlooking the bay. We were offered complimentary Prosecco while we waited for our table. Cocktails and appetizers arrived quickly, served by friendly chatty waiting staff. The primo pasta was some of the best I have tasted and, although the service slowed down as the evening progressed, the food was excellent and perfectly complemented the delightful atmosphere.

Dinner at Kasai was amazing! The flavors were rich and vibrant and the plating was spectacular. We had a table outdoors which is on the local street but this is the way on the amalfi coast when the restaurant is on the road. We had beautiful scenery of the coast and the water while we wined and dined. My son has the lamb ribs and that may have been the best flavored meat I have ever had. I had pasta in a fresh tomato sauce which was very good. My wife got the tiramisu and it was the best we had on the trip with Kasai adding a little twist by adding chocolate chunks and a few precisely placed berries. I tried their old fashioned for my dessert but it did not match the great flavors we get in Kansas City (but my expectations were really low as I hadn’t seen much bourbon when we were in Italy). My wife enjoyed a Hugo spritz as her new favorite drink in Italy. Kasai did it right. We were so glad we made the trek uphill from our place on the west side of Praiano. Also, pro tip, it gets cool in the evenings and potentially breezy so the ladies may want a shawl or jacket as the sun dips toward the horizon. Ciao!

Tried spaghetti and mussels, all good. Not lots of options on the menu though. Need to sit outside!!
