04/05/2024: Kind and professional! The Ascoli olives and cremini are absolutely delicious. The quality of the ingredients can be felt in the flavours, consistency and duration of the preparations. I often go to get half a kilo packs that I have packed for transport and then consume in the following weeks. Congratulations also for the impeccable service and the welcome that always lived up to its reputation. Truly recommendable to anyone who knows about Ascoli olives, cremini and fresh pasta.

11/08/2024: The establishment is well organized, clean and the staff very kind. There is a lot of distance between one row and the other, a little little on the sides, we are in the front row. Clean bathrooms as well as showers. This evening we ate at the restaurant and everything was really excellent. Excellent service, well cooked and generous portions. In particular, among the courses, the gnocchi with seafood were fabulous as was the fried fish. Separate note of praise for the truly sublime desserts. Fair prices on average for the place. Highly recommended!

31/08/2024: I went to this restaurant in the 80s to celebrate ferragosto with my whole family but I am willing to bet 95% that the blue tablecloths under the white ones are still the same as 40 years ago... The dishes are still as I remember: always just as good 🥰 jesuiti, bauletti, crema fritta, olive ascolane 🤤🤤🤤🤤 however I had forgotten that the portions were so big... Low price. I advise....

31/08/2024: This place is historic and offers a traditional meat-based menu. It deserves 5 stars because the typical dishes are plentiful and delicious, the meat is cooked in such a way as to be truly tender and tasty. It is a place on the hills outside the city that can only be reached by car, recommended for those who love local products, want to eat well and spend the right amount.

20/08/2024: The choice of meat restaurants in the Cupra area is almost zero. So I opted for the Contrada, on the hills about 12 km away. Excellent meat cooked to perfection and truffles generously served. The first courses were less good: paccheri made with tomato puree. For me it doesn't work: you should use fresh tomatoes if anything. Also the truffle tagliatelle: too dry. They should be softened with a cream. However, apart from the chef's ideas which must be respected, the place deserves a lot. The wine list is excellent. Average prices, around €50 each. Advised.

19/08/2024: Il 14 agosto abbiamo avuto il piacere di cenare qui, un'esperienza che è andata ben oltre le nostre aspettative grazie all'incredibile professionalità del personale. La serata, inizialmente perfetta, è stata interrotta da un improvviso acquazzone, che avrebbe potuto rovinare l'atmosfera e la cena. Tuttavia, il personale è stato semplicemente fantastico: nonostante la pioggia non fosse prevista, hanno rapidamente e con grande efficienza organizzato lo spostamento di tutti gli ospiti all'interno, riuscendo a garantire il proseguimento del servizio senza alcun intoppo. Ciò che ha reso l'esperienza davvero speciale è stata la loro calma e cortesia in una situazione che poteva facilmente diventare caotica. La serata è filata liscia ed il cibo era ottimo ! Bravi ragazzi.

Il Gabbiano is a family-run beach establishment with an adjoining restaurant masterfully directed by Mr. Pietro. the collaborators are very young and very kind, the prices of all services are more than modest. But what is striking is the level of professionalism and seriousness that the team as a whole expresses. we often talk, with nostalgic emphasis, about the foods of the past, the objects of the past, the behaviors of the past... here is Mr. Il Gabbiano establishment. Pietro is a one-time business that creates wealth and at the same time is useful to the community.

29/08/2024: Comfortable place, in the square. Kind and friendly waiters, especially the curly-haired boy. Drinks made well and a basic aperitif platter, Ascoli olives and fantastic cremini. Definitely worth trying!
