11/03/2024: The place itself is very beautiful and welcoming, especially the warm lights which give that effect of serenity. The menu is quite varied but we ordered a bacchus platter for 15 euros. The platter is presented with different types of cured meats but unfortunately with only 1 type of cheese and only 1 jam sauce...in fact, as you can see in the photo, what might look like cheese is nothing more than winter melon...They then served us some Spanish beans in sauce but here I would say that nothing is right... I would have preferred some local specialties... the Ascoli olives ok... the prosecco was good but the bottle is better for you... I would say that a little something on the menu is worthy revisit but deserves four stars.

13/02/2024: If you want the best you have to go here. You will be able to eat typical products and be advised in the best way. The atmosphere is beautiful. Wide choice of wines. You can find it in the center during the walk.

07/04/2024: In Chiara Luce Country House you can immediately grasp the brilliant and imperious external lights of the magnificent farmhouse and the glimpse of the pleasant lake below, where the "shimmer" of the moon shines on its still waters giving diners and guests an atmosphere unique, romantic and with an over-fantasy connotation! To welcome us into the room, with singular grace and kindness, Claudia, the owner, introduced herself, who after seeing us as a couple, made us sit in front of the lit and crackling logs of a "warm" fireplace, which she would certainly have embraced and wrapped our meal with joy. The very gracious Claudia then presented a rich and tempting menu, also full of interesting vegetarian and international alternatives... all studied and poetically prepared by her Chef and husband, Miguel. Savored excellent fried foods, first courses such as spaghetti with cheese and pepper with pistachio twist and "olive leaves", sausage, olives and pecorino... Amazing! The second course of fresh and tasty mushroom omelettes and great side dishes were also so wonderful. We are pleased to inform you that what has been described is all of 0 km origin. 14/01/2024: With a group of friends I had lunch in the restaurant of the Chiaraluce country house in Massignano and it was a pleasant surprise: first of all the place is quiet and enjoys a beautiful view and then the cuisine turned out to be of excellent quality. Tasty cured meats, fried olives and cremini; the Campofilone maccheroncini are unforgettable, the cuts are tender, plentiful and delicious. Finally, the excellent quality-price ratio is to be appreciated. We will definitely be back.

17/03/2024: Kindness and helpfulness. It is located at the beginning of Montemonaco. Family and welcoming environment. Even though it was after 3pm they still set the table and served us with a smile. The cutting board, the grilled vegetables and also the house wine: excellent Platter for two, grilled vegetables for two, sparkling water, 1/4 liter of wine, 2 coffees: in total €35.00.

31/03/2024: Easter lunch ruined by the rudeness and lack of respect of the owner and a waitress. First of all, the dishes proposed were different from the agreed menu (see attached photo). In particular, sea bass was served instead of the more expensive turbot. The waitress even had the courage to claim that sea bass cost more per kilo than turbot. When it was time for dessert, which was supposed to be a semifreddo, the waitress asked if the whole table would be fine with a lemon sorbet. To the complaints of one of the guests, the waitress replied that she would check how many semifreddos were left and she would serve sorbet to the others. After a brief consultation with someone from the kitchen, he comes out serving a single semifreddo and saying that the sorbets were finished. Paradoxically, the option he was using to scam us (sorbet) wasn't available either. I point out that all the other tables in the room were eating the four-jaw semifreddo, and that the owner was chatting amiably with one of these tables. The waitress claimed that the tables served with semifreddo had arrived earlier, when this is absolutely not the case. When asked for clarification, the owner introduces himself and reacts badly to the request for a discount on the price of €60, given that the dessert was missing. He replies that it was crazy to ask for a discount on this type of menu and threatens to call the police commissioner because we were disturbing the other tables. In the meantime it was proposed as an emergency dessert, strawberries cut in half without any type of garnish. Final price 60 euros, obviously we ask you to pay by card to ensure that at least the person in question pays the amount due to the treasury. It may happen that a kitchen forgets to prepare the agreed dessert for 15 diners (even if this is incredible), but thinking that you can arrogantly deceive customers is unacceptable. It should also be noted that the waitress took the side of the restaurant manager and not the injured customer, adding further fuel to the fire by mocking us with the adjacent table.
