23/08/2025: Merizzi is a delicious Italian food restaurant. Consider making reservations for this busy restaurant after riding the Bernina Express from Switzerland to Tirano. The patio is nice and the servers are attentive and accommodating. If you are sensitive to the environment, consider sitting inside. There is noise pollution from the many motorcycles in Tirano. If you are seated next to someone smoking, hopefully the wind is blowing away from your table. The house made buckwheat noodles are delicious in the pizzaccaria. Vegetarian options are available.

22/02/2025: The woman working there seemed a bit Islamophobic, and I didn’t appreciate her attitude. I went in to order a birthday cake, speaking the little Italian I know, and she was initially polite. After stepping out and returning a few minutes later, her demeanor changed—she seemed unwilling and unfriendly. I placed my order, gave her my information, and left. When I returned to ask about the cake’s ingredients (as I’m Muslim and need to confirm the gelatin source), I was on the phone with my sister for translation help. I put her on speaker so she could ask the questions, but the woman refused to speak to her and claimed she didn’t know what the gelatin was made of. When I canceled the order, she seemed annoyed. Overall, an unwelcoming experience. Simply because I am hijabi.

29/06/2025: "Io e mia moglie siamo stati in questa osteria per la cena. Il ristorante è ubicato in una frazione di Tirano a circa 800 metri sul livello del mare. La strada per arrivarci è molto stretta, anche se molto panoramica (due Suv in senso contrario crea un po' di problemi nella circolazione). Il menù comprende sia pietanze a base di carne che di pesce. Dall'osteria si ha un bellissimo panorama dal quale è possibile ammirare la città di Tirano e i paesi limitrofi. Per quanto riguarda le pietanze gli antipasti sono molto buoni, sciatt e bresaola tipici della Valtellina. La carne è di qualità. Da migliorare i contorni. Le portate potrebbero essere più abbondanti visto che il costo non è basso. Personale di sala molto gentile. Parcheggio a circa 200 metri dal locale o fuori dal locale. Prezzi un po' alti visto (senza vino per un antipasto e un secondo siamo sui 45-50 euro a testa). Consiglio a tutti questa osteria per mangiare piatti tipici della Valtellina"

09/06/2025: Oggi siamo andati in moto a Tirano per la fiera e abbiamo deciso di salire a Roncaiola per la cena. Ottima scelta!! La location è spettacolare, con una vista panoramica stupenda. Servizio, cordialità, cibo tutto ok !! Abbiamo scelto due antipasti con assaggi e due primi top ( gnocchi e pizzoccheri). Dobbiamo tornarci assolutamente!

17/06/2025: We went to this restaurant for an all you can eat. The food was good and the dishes were well-prepared, but overall nothing particularly special or different from many other similar places. The bill was exaggerated: €85 for two for an all you can eat (€35 each), a bottle of water, a beer and an extra small dish to take away. For that price I expected a much better experience. The service and atmosphere were average. I don't completely recommend it, but I personally don't know if I would go back.

13/07/2025: Disappointing experience, unacceptable service We went to this restaurant for a Sunday family lunch. The typical Valtellina dishes—pizzoccheri and tagliatelle with ragù—were good, but unfortunately, that was the only positive note. The service was truly inadequate. We asked for still water for the children three times: all the other drinks arrived immediately, but the water wasn't served until we'd already finished the first course. Unacceptable. We ordered the house wine, but it was undrinkable. At that point, we asked for the only alternative available, a Chianti. The waiter brought it to us, asking if it was correct because—and he quoted him—he didn't know if Chianti was a red or white wine. It was embarrassing. The wine was drinkable, but of very poor quality. For our second course, we ordered a "steak," supposedly beef, but it was tough, sinewy, and difficult to eat. Ultimately, the bill was far too high for the quality of the service and food. We won't be back and we don't feel comfortable recommending it to anyone.

26/06/2025: Today was a very hot Thursday in June. My colleague and I arrived in the early afternoon for a late business lunch, seeking relief and comfort from the heat and fatigue. As always, the welcome was royal, cordial and familiar, but today a special mention to the waitresses for the love received, for the freshest wine and a thank you also to the chef for the presence of the best pizzoccheri ever, even on a Thursday. 10/07/2025: Excellent location next to the Bernina Express Hotel station. The room had 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. A bit warm.

07/07/2025: Arriving at check in we were greeted by the receptionist who was, to say the least, unhelpful. In addition to the denial of parking (which we had booked) due to a party in the street, she was unable to give us alternative directions with arrogance and absolute unavailability. The Room (Japan) is clean and modernized even if without air conditioning (impossible in a 3 star hotel) and the curtain that could not be kept open. The quality-price ratio is very low. Although we asked for an umbrella to go out, this was not available .... Service not to be reviewed but to be improved a lot.

26/03/2025: Stopped in last night for a simple dinner. What a great place. Warm and friendly with a fire going. The best foccacia and ham sandwich with a glass of local red wine. Perfect. The cashier is 100% automated. I'm sure that the people who live nearby appreciate this wonderful place.

03/08/2025: A small Italian restaurant with delicious pizza, beer, and Aperol Spritz. Near the train station and souvenir shops. Service is quick and efficient. On-site restrooms. Very reasonable prices, and everything is fresh. We highly recommend it.

05/07/2025: Well, what can I say? When a guest's menu is thrown on the table without comment and the waiter doesn't respond to my greeting, then I'm really fed up. The cannelloni I ordered weren't cooked al dente, but rather firm. After complaining, they briefly put them in the microwave, which didn't improve the situation. Pizzoccheri were good. And the price was reasonable for everything. It's a shame. Instead of mass-produced food, they could do something with this restaurant. Make the menu a bit more presentable and give the staff professional training; then the reviews would be better.

27/04/2025: Los camareros muy agradable y amable. Tuvimos un aperitivo solo y pedimos también dos platos pequeños y un postre con dos cucharas ya que no tuvimos mucho tiempo. Porciones y calidad de la comida súper buena. El vino recomendado también era de primera. El ambiente podría haber sido genial. Lo que molestó mucho fue el dueño estresado que trató a alguien en la cocina tan mal que lo escuchamos sentado afuera y arruinó el lugar tranquilo. Un comportamiento absoluto de “no ir” si usted es un anfitrión.
