16/04/2025: Spent 5 nights here as we explored Lake Como. Varenna is a beautiful village and the hotel location on the square is charming. Our room was quiet and comfortable with spectacular views of the lake. Breakfast buffet is a treat. Staff is very helpful and made great restaurant suggestions. We had an emergency situation when we checked out when our prearranged taxi was in an accident and hotel staff arranged for transportation within 30 minutes to get us to airport. We are so appreciative
11/04/2025: Had the dreamiest stay in Varenna here with a perfect view and convenient access to wonderful restaurants and attractions like Villa Monastero. Staying here also gives you access to the Villa Cipressi botanical gardens next door which is quite a treat. The AC in the room was outstanding and they had great shower pressure in the room as well. The included breakfast is quite lovely. Highly recommend staying here!

NEVER AGAIN
Let's start with the fried food, we ordered the tempura prawns they were simply inedible there was only frying and not much prawn and they tasted like used oil
Then we move on to the small errano rolls, lots of rice and little fish (and the fish was of poor quality)
The sashimi was only white and little orange
As soon as I got home I felt an incredible stomach ache and I vomited all night
We won't be going back

25/05/2025: Sorry to say that it was an evening to forget, in which we suffered: planetary delays (entry at 8:30 pm and first service at 10 pm. Dinner ended at 11:45 pm), food qualitatively - except for two dishes that were decent - and quantitatively modest compared to the price and a poor level of service (...we are full..and even the bread was missing). High and unjustified cost. A kind of horror film. The excuse that the place was almost sold out cannot be accepted.

25/04/2025: I booked online, I show up at the pizzeria on time and unfortunately I find it closed. Disappointment and waste of time. If you update the site it's better otherwise it's a mess especially for those with children.
24/04/2025: I tried this pizzeria, located in the Bonacina district of Lecco, during a dinner with friends.
The location is nice but simple, halfway between a classic pizzeria and a takeaway.
Young but well-prepared, kind and cheerful staff.
Service a little long considering the place was emptying.
Really good Neapolitan pizza, in the top 10 of the best I've ever eaten.
Absolutely correct prices.
Advised.

29/04/2025: Characteristic inn where you can breathe the ancient air of the past. A few steps from the Manzoni hospital which is why we went there for midday lunch. Home cooking, simple but quality dishes. I really appreciated the meatballs with sauce: super excellent! Fast service and friendly staff... it's family run. Absolutely honest prices.

23/01/2025: I often go with my best friend for breakfast on weekend mornings. Spacious and welcoming room. The waiters are very nice and friendly. We really enjoy it here when we manage to drop by, because it's a lovely, pleasant little place. Our usual breakfast, consisting of cappuccino and delicious Nutella and pistachio brioches (biscuit included), has become our little morning treat. What can I say, we have now become loyal customers. I recommend it! We will see each other soon!
