13/08/2024: The bar/restaurant Bounty was the only restaurant that still had free seating in Sirmione - after dinner it was clear to us why! We ordered for our 3 children and ourselves - 1x Minestrone, 2x Pizza, 1x Gnoggi, 1x Spaghetti Vongole, 1x Hamburger and drinks! The prices were reasonably ok - but the quality of the food was poor to poor. We had requested that all food be served at the same time - unfortunately this was not the case! The two pizzas came first, then after 15 Minutes the spaghetti vongole, then after another 10 minutes the burger and finally the minestrone and the gnoggi. The burger's meat paddy was bloody, so we asked it to be fried again - which took another 10 minutes. The pizza was visually ok - the taste was not ok! Spaghetti was tasteless and the noodle was dead! Only the Gnoggi and the Minestrone were somewhat edible! Price/performance is not ok! Copperto at 4 euros is rather outrageous! Sanitary facilities - better not to visit them, let alone describe them. I've been traveling all over Italy for more than 28 years - but this was the worst local visit I've ever experienced! Unfortunately it is not possible to give 0 points in the rating!

10/08/2024: Was actually quite happy with the restaurant. The service was friendly. Even if you didn't really take a lot of time for one. I would understand if it had been busy, but it wasn't. The food was good. But we paid €4 coperto per person. I'm sorry, it's a real rip off, it doesn't work.

01/08/2024: There were four of us eating. The pasta carbonara came after about 5 minutes. 10 minutes before the pizzas. It was definitely freshly prepared... and didn't taste good at all. The pizzas were good. Service: 1 beer didn't arrive but instead of two or three pizzas were brought. We were surprised that you had to pay an extra 3 euros for the place setting. Is that normal? The ambience wasn't that good 😅

29/07/2024: Fantastic guy playing the piano. The food was very good and well seasoned. A large beer is really big😁. Beef with 😱 avocado is great.

02/06/2024: Hate in the comments UNJUSTIFIED, this is a bar not a restaurant. The owner is nice, he can be a bit invasive and exuberant but that's his character... I went in for a coffee and water with my girlfriend, there were no problems of "if you don't consume you don't go to the bathroom" because I have had a coffee and a water and the 2 of us went to the bathroom, we also chatted with him for a good 15 minutes, if I ever end up in the area again, I'll definitely stop by

01/06/2024: 2 coffees, 2 croissants (Mini), this is the total including the cover charge for 2 breakfasts, including 1 croissant with sour cream, but the absurdity is the cover charge for breakfast in a bar, never heard of. Obviously negative review.

07/08/2024: We had a nice lunch at Il Guelfo. We all had salads which were very pleasant and a good sized portion. Only one waitress was working so the service wasn’t the quickest. We were also annoyed to find out after eating that the card machine wasn’t working. We didn’t have any cash with us so had to go out and find a machine.

03/07/2024: Dopo un bella passeggiata per il centro di Sirmione una mia amica ed io decidiamo di fermarci per cena in questo ristorante colpite dalla vista sul castello e la bella terrazzina esterna, pessima idea ( errare humanum est). Nonostante il menu sembrasse la tipica carta di un locale turistico, decidiamo di ignorare questi pregiudizi e ordiniamo due pizze, pessima idea. Chiedo cortesemente alla titolare una sostituzione di ingredienti che mi viene negata, sottolineando che questa variazione avrebbe comportato un aumento, nessun problema, anzi si apprezza la correttezza. Arrivano le pizze e tra me e la mia amica si crea un momento di silenzio imbarazzante: non riusciamo a tagliarle. Nonostante innumerevoli tentativi, ci siamo ritrovate a tagliare la pizza con le mani, tornando alle nostre origini. Non volevamo ammetterlo, ma le pizze se non erano precotte sicuramente erano surgelate e la qualità degli ingredienti scadente. Nonostante l’impegno, non siamo riuscite a finirla (era troppo difficile tagliarla) sicuramente un buon allenamento per le braccia. Mi dispiace perché vista la fantastica posizione il locale potrebbe offrire un servizio decisamente migliore, basta poco.

31/08/2024: We ended up there by chance, and thank goodness! We took the casoncelli alla Bresciana with butter and sage and ricotta gnocchi with rocket and cherry tomatoes: nothing short of perfect! The pasta was very fresh and you could taste it. We liked them so much that we decided that the next time we return to Sirmione, we will come here.

08/08/2024: Apart from the place and the location which are nice, the waitress welcomes us very quickly, the prices are expensive for the quantities, and they add 2 x 2.50 euros for just the bread and the service, telling us that that's how it is in Italy which is wrong, no jug of water available, wants to give us only in a bottle to charge it, 44 euros for 2 small dishes and 1 beer...

14/05/2024: Serata con amici, scelto villa pioppi per la meravigliosa vista sul lago. Complimenti a tutto lo staff, dalla cucina alla sala, la nostra serata è stata davvero perfetta. Piatti gustosi e camerieri professionali, ma anche molto simpatici e amichevoli. Conto onesto, considerando che abbiamo cenato a base di pesce. Nota di merito anche per avere un parcheggio ampio, non devi impazzire e perdere tempo per trovare un buco dove lasciare la macchina. Grazie ancora e.....continuate così!

14/05/2024: La location è la mia preferita del lago di Garda, una villa splendida direttamente sul lago con piscina. Tenuta molto bene e curata nei dettagli. Personale gentile. Nota dolente la qualità della cucina che negli anni è decisamente peggiorata, un vero peccato. Con un po di accortezze si può facilmente migliorare!

22/08/2024: Beware of the tourist trap! A scoop of vanilla ice cream in a cup was billed at €10! Unfortunately, the ice cream wasn't convincing either.

21/08/2024: Fraud, there is no price table anywhere, we ordered 1 scoop twice, one scoop from them is 5 euros, an additional roll with chocolate is 3 euros and the ice cream itself is 12 euros

24/08/2024: One star given away, absurd prices and absolutely rude and unprofessional staff

20/08/2024: Not recommended at all. Poor quality food. The pizzas look like frozen dough. There are better things with similar prices nearby. The drink is really expensive and at the end they don't give you a ticket with the prices. Don't fall into the trap.

23/08/2024: A theft. Went there to get an ice cream in the historic center we were very disappointed and shocked by the ice cream provided. Very sweet and very expensive (3 balls 14 euros). Classic place attracts tourists. One star is too much

19/08/2024: FRAUD, SCAM, RIP-OFF - HANDS OFF. Ice-cold SCAM AND RIP-OFF in about 8 different ice cream parlors in Sirmione. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. Now for the background: First you are invited to try different types of ice cream with a small spoon, which initially sounds like a nice gesture, but unfortunately the visit turned out to be completely different. When we actually wanted to order two scoops twice and asked for the smallest cup (5€ for two scoops), no one prepared the small cup for us, but instead served us a huge sundae each (probably half a kilo of ice cream twice) despite repeated advice When we asked for a small portion, they made no move to serve us a smaller cup. In the end, the 4 balls cost us a total of €16 and unfortunately I still can't understand how this sum came about. As our stay in Sirmione continued, we discovered that this ice cream parlor belongs to a chain and that this scam and rip-off scam exists in around 8 different locations in this city. They all follow the same pattern of fraud: opaque prices, poor service, expensive bullets and cold, blatant rip-offs. For this reason, this review will be found in each of their ice cream shops. I hope you don't make the same mistake! Nice holidays.

12/08/2024: Tourist scam, asked for two icecream with 2 scoops. Had to pay €16, they try to give you the biggest ice cream possible. So I asked for small and still had to pay €16. Also very rude and aggressive in the way they approach. Avoid at all costs. When you ask for an explanation for the price, two people start talking aggressive to you

12/08/2024: Rude staff serving overpriced icecream. Way too much sugar mixed with artificial flavours. It was a horrible experience. We had to throw it in the trash.
