28/08/2024: This evening I was there for dinner with my wife. We were on the terrace and it was now about 2/3 full. We got space straight away but unfortunately the service took over 35 minutes to even come to us and take an order. We weren't the only ones who got up and left without ordering. People who came after us were served but our part of the terrace somehow wasn't. So I don't want to rate the food and ambience because I didn't eat anything. I hope they learn from it.

28/08/2024: Worse than bad. Impossible service, Italian guests are preferred. You are ignored and have to wait over 30 minutes until a waiter comes to order. It's pure chaos here. Guests leave the restaurant after waiting in vain and we didn't feel like it anymore. No recommendation. Pure disappointment.

14/08/2024: Il Baracuda si trova appena fuori dal centro storico di Sirmione. Dispone di un ampio spazio ristorante interno, di una terrazza ristorante e di una terrazza bar direttamente sul lago. Il cibo era di altissima qualità e il servizio eccezionalmente cordiale e attento. Abbiamo iniziato con delle eccellenti cozze e una caprese, seguiti da una tagliata di manzo cucinata alla perfezione. Mentre stavamo mangiando, è scoppiato un temporale e tutti gli ospiti seduti all'aperto sono stati spostati all'interno. Il personale ha gestito la situazione in modo molto professionale. Non c'è stato alcun problema, ma ci è stata comunque offerta una piccola bottiglia di limoncello per il disagio (e un piccolo gelato per nostra figlia), cosa che ho trovato molto carina. Poco prima di andare via, alcuni turisti estremamente fastidiosi e ubriachi hanno cercato di entrare nel ristorante con pantaloncini da bagno e senza maglietta. Anche in questa situazione, il personale ha gestito tutto in modo molto professionale, rimanendo persino cordiale. Consiglierei il Baracuda a chiunque desideri fare una cena piacevole e rilassata prima di entrare nel vivace centro città

14/07/2024: I can highly recommend Hotel Dogana in Sirmione! From the first moment we felt incredibly comfortable and welcome here. The staff is not only professional, but also warm and helpful. I would like to give special praise for the exceptional service we received during our stay. I was unlucky enough to lose my phone, but the hotel team immediately and diligently made sure I got it back. Not only did they take all the necessary steps with me, but they also followed up personally and ensured that everything went smoothly. Thanks to their help, I was able to get my phone back quickly and undamaged. The rooms are clean, comfortable and lovingly furnished. The breakfast also left nothing to be desired and offered a large selection of delicious dishes. The hotel's location is ideal for exploring Sirmione and the surrounding area. Overall, an unforgettable stay – we will definitely be back! Many thanks to the entire team at Hotel Dogana for the wonderful time and great support!

05/08/2024: Amazing restaurant, not a tourist trap, 100% authentic, with an amazing choice of wine! The owner is a connaisseur, and super friendly! Try the tartare and pair it with a Gattinara. We came as a family and all enjoyed it.

01/08/2024: We were in Sirmione for 4 days and it is hit and miss for food - this was far and away the best place we ate at. 2 adults and 2 late-teen / early 20 year olds. Best food, best atmosphere, best wine! Need to book though.

20/08/2024: I don't easily give 5/5, but this was a real gem! Big compliments to all the staff here because this is a service to say the least! It was also nicely stated in advance that they are renovating some rooms, which may cause some noise, for which we understand. Breakfast was also super tasty! Beautiful room! TIP: provide the cabinets with soft close. loud bangs when closing. The car is in a safe place, which is certainly a plus for a transit trip by car!

07/08/2024: Nice hotel, the room was just very small and the air conditioning was extremely loud. Breakfast was great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Location was good, you could easily walk into town and quickly get to the lake.

07/07/2024: It was hard for me to give an opinion... because only one thing influenced the assessment - I would call it a cultural issue, although in other restaurants it was not the case, but without prejudice... Let's start with the advantages: the food (both pizzas) very delicious, but I've eaten more than one and they weren't outstanding, but you could feel the good quality of the products, you can't fault it, they were really delicious! In addition, you can say a local drink made of lemons. The service can't be faulted, but I think that given the amount of service it could have been better (the waiters were nice, but I thought about ordering another glass of wine, but I had already eaten and drank so we decided to leave). As for the appearance: a beautiful view, you can see that the restaurant wants to be of a high standard, I have nothing to complain about. The minus that destroyed everything! I understand that in Italian culture a kopperto is added and I would understand that it is a service fee or something... as long as it was clearly formulated how much and for what I am paying (the definition on the Internet states that it is a table fee) there were two of us and it was 7 euros (I wonder how much the next table with about 6 people paid). I have no problem with tipping, on the contrary, if someone serves me well, I will be happy to reward him even more! But how is it calculated? What am I paying for and I'm asking because I would like to know how to prepare for additional costs in the future. I consider the prices of the dishes to be affordable, there is only one fee I don't understand, especially since I have been to many restaurants and pubs in various locations (at Lake Garda but not only - Venice, Rome) and it was not charged to me. I am writing so that people will be forewarned, not surprised. Try it yourself and judge. As I mentioned, the food was delicious

08/08/2024: I sincerely recommend this restaurant. The menu has a large selection of dishes - we chose a large sushi set and two soups with tempura ingredients. You can also find pasta, rice, Japanese beers and tasting sets... both for children and adults. Everything was presented very aesthetically and the taste of the dishes exceeded our expectations. The restaurant itself has a very atmospheric atmosphere and the staff is smiling, nice but at the same time modest, giving a lot of space to calmly analyze the menu, eat and enjoy the wine. Prices very affordable. 'I heartily recommend it and I am sure we will come back.

02/08/2024: Very fresh sushi and friendly staff. Excellent service. Be careful however because it is not "All you can eat" so it could be expensive.
