07/01/2026: I ended up here by chance, seeking shelter from the cold and rain during a bike ride. Located just a few meters from the castle, among the narrow streets of the highest and perhaps most picturesque part of Bolsena. The place is small but very welcoming. Perhaps it was the "luck" of being alone, partly due to the inclement weather, but I felt right at home. The kitchen is open to the public, which I consider a very positive thing. I had an excellent tuna appetizer and a delicious amatriciana. The food was simple but well-prepared (if it were heavy fare, I wouldn't have been able to make an appetizer, first course, and second course). The owner is very friendly and, I'd almost say, whimsical. All the more reason to return if I have the chance.

We ordered various pizzas, sliced ​​them up like an appetizer, and he created a perfect round pizza with all the requested varieties. The thin-crust pizza was also very good, and the vegetables were hot and top-quality. We'll definitely be back.

29/01/2026: Only had some Pizza, so I do not know about the steak. But the staff was very unwelcoming, and I felt i felt like all she wanted to do was get us out. The door. Very unpleasant person. 🛑

20/01/2026: Booked directly through Google, 3 confirmation emails, we arrived and were told they didn't check those reservations and kicked us out because they didn't have a table for two available. Truly rude and impolite!! First and last time!! I wanted to tell the owner that Google doesn't force anyone to keep a service active and it can easily be deactivated. Don't take reservations into account, but read the reviews right away!! Anyway, we went to the nearby Oasi pizzeria. It was fully booked, but they found us a place to stay. The staff was excellent, as were the pizzas!

01/01/2026: I showed up at the restaurant at 8:30 PM on New Year's Eve with my husband and son. I told the waiter I had a reservation, but there was nothing in my name. The owner wasn't bothered, immediately added a table, and had it set. I quickly realized WE HAD THE WRONG RESTAURANT (they were waiting for us somewhere else), but they were GREAT, making sure we weren't left stranded on New Year's Eve!!! THANK YOU!

23/08/2025: I knew I could get delicious ice cream in Italy. But Lolla Gelato takes it to the next level! They celebrate this art. Every flavor I tried was outstanding. Not overly sweet, not artificial, not watered down. Rather, it was a symphony of natural and, above all, local flavors, like blackberry, fig, or peach. For me, one of the best ice cream parlors in the world! Excellent, keep up the good work!

02/01/2026: Spacious and clean room. Large and spacious bathroom. Decent breakfast with plenty of sweet options, but not much savory. Fridge noisy all night. Shower head unusable.

Poorly organized breakfast... a group of 80 people lined up for the breakfast buffet... placed on a long table... if I just want a coffee, I have to wait in line... Unpretentious food... only one choice... I ate meat for a first and second course two nights in a row... and on the last day, more meat for lunch... I expected to eat at least some lake fish or something else...

04/01/2026: Don't expect real pizza, a low base like a piadina without edges, even a simple margherita makes you really thirsty so we don't even have the leavening, the ingredients on the pizza are abundant, nice place, normal staff.

16/01/2026: A truly memorable lakeside seafood lunch. The food was delicious, carefully prepared, and served in generous portions. The service was impeccable: friendly and courteous, even with the restaurant packed, with no wait and excellent organization. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, perfect for enjoying the view. The only drawback is parking, which is a bit tricky, but absolutely worth it. Reservations are recommended. We'll definitely be back.

21/09/2025: Lovely little trattoria right on the shore, beautiful views over lake Bolsena. The food and atmosphere were great. We had two courses with wine and beer for €30 each. The staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.
