13/01/2025: ...preoccupati dal titolo? Ma no..., è solo che è davvero difficile trovare qualcosa di negativo al ristorante "Il Toscano" di Bolsena. Ottima cucina, personale decisamente gentile e premuroso. Non è la prima volta che ci veniamo e dispiace solo che Bolsena non sia più vicina a Roma. Degli ottimi piatti ho già accennato (consiglio spaghettoni cacio e pepe, ma anche i tortelloni con i gamberetti) e può sembrare strano che mi soffermi sul pane ma, credetemi, è una vera delizia: è fatto in casa (come molta della pasta del resto) e viene offerto caldo... un antico piacere oggi raramente godibile. In conclusione, se siete in zona non perdetevi un pranzo, o una cena, da "il Toscano". Dimenticavo, anche il prezzo è adeguato!

17/11/2024: I only ate a pizza, huge, thin and well cooked and finished with an excellent panna cotta. Pizza like this, although good, is not my type (I prefer Neapolitan) but I know how to recognize quality products and those from the tavern are.

10/02/2025: Such a great find and Flavio was very friendly too! The car rental guy recommended Bolsena as a great stop on my way north. Tried sleeping in the car just outside the city gate but it was impossible. Best pizza I had on that trip and it was fabulous discovering Bolsena early that morning. Can’t wait to drop in again soon. 01/02/2025: We ate in passing here in Bolsena as soon as we entered the center on the right of the first side street of the main street, the scent of excellent ingredients, of expertly cooked food involved us, the place is not very large but clean and welcoming, offering pizza and a variety of dishes hot like cannelloni, lasagna that made your mouth water, we ate a pizza stuffed with tomato and mozzarella but it melted in your mouth, the owner was very nice, polite and kind

23/12/2024: Mancavo da un po' di tempo dal Pinzale, e sono tornato con piacere a mangiare un pranzo a dir poco perfetto a base di pesce di mare e di lago. Perfetto anche con il prezzo, giusto per quello che abbiamo mangiato e per il servizio ricevuto. Bravi .

21/09/2024: Factory on the shores of Lake Bolsena not far from the town. We were two families with 3 children, 2 of which were under three years old. Beautiful well-kept lawn with regular ground (they don't even lay towels on the ground to preserve the turf), beach-style umbrellas and sunbeds. The entrance into the water is characterized by large stones but on the left, near the pier, there is a strip of sand to enter without problems, clean water even in the afternoon, the best stretch of the lake still remains the Bolsena Montefiascone Marta Capodimonte side both for water cleaning and landscaping. The catering part can be improved: you have to order at the bar from the relevant menu, indicating the table number and take a drink, then the waiter will bring the ordered food, which is very good, to the table. Unfortunately it is not written anywhere and, at least to us, no one has told us.

27/10/2024: Tricky with parking as there is no carpark. Had to leave the car like 300meters away, outside someone’s house. The actual place is really nice. Great lake view. Feels cosy and homely. The guys were super cool as tried to speak in Italian with my terribly broken Italian without switching to English and at the end without properly knowing what we ordered, he brought us some lovely food:)

To accompany it all, there is a selection of beers, among which Guinness stands out, perfect for those who want to completely immerse themselves in the Irish atmosphere. The location of the restaurant, immersed in the quiet setting of Lake Bolsena, adds a further touch of relaxation: away from traffic and noise. In summer it is possible to eat outdoors, under the veranda. The restaurant is equipped with convenient parking for customers. Highly recommended.

06/01/2025: The Tolkien menu is reminiscent of that of Tom Bombadil in via Casperia in Rome. Convenient parking. They have food for celiacs. The pizza is less difficult to digest than other places. Fantastic beers!
