20/08/2024: We are regular customers now. Finally a place where you can drink and eat quality food. The location is also excellent for an aperitif or even after dinner. Let Stefano advise you, he will not disappoint you :)

28/08/2024: We got some takeout. Definitely very kind. Perhaps the pasta lacked a little more flavor than the last time we had it. And the gluten-free frying could have been better. For the rest ok thanks ❤️

15/01/2024: We ate together with a friend of mine, everything was very good from the bruschetta to the pizza which I usually can't digest but I digested it very well and it was really good... The staff was also very helpful and quick... We will definitely be back

27/08/2024: In fact we couldn't order what we wanted, several starters were missing and he insistently offered us only the house starter. Having booked the day before we asked about the availability of gluten-free foods and we received a positive response, another surprise, when ordering, the owner, Gianfranco, informed us that the gluten-free first courses on Saturdays are not prepared, therefore either the risotto or opt for second courses. Thanks only to a very kind waiter we managed to have two portions of red snapper which were not available before 🤔. I thank the staff for their professionalism.

12/08/2024: Non si mangia la solita pizza di forma circolare ma una pizza allungata (tipo la pizza a metro di Vico Equenze) servita su lunghi vassoi di legno e tagliata in varie porzioni. La qualità è buona, il prezzo non eccessivo e soprattutto si cena all’aperto, sotto uno splendido pergolato dove, anche nelle giornate più calde, il fresco è assicurato. Poiché il locale è fuori mano e bisogna arrivarci con mezzi propri è importante la possibilità di parcheggiare comodamente in un ampio parcheggio adiacente al locale.

23/07/2024: Posto situato sulle alture alle spalle di Formia a circa 800 metri di altezza. Strada per raggiungerlo panoramicanente bellissima ma un po’ insidiosa che porta in questo sito immerso nel bosco. Locale piccolo ma molto accogliente che offre un menù fisso ricco di tante prelibatezze non esclusivamente del territorio ma che sono il prodotto di una accurata selezione. Lo consiglio vivamente per chi cerca una validissima alternativa alla spiaggia e al pesce. Personale ottimo, curato, cordiale e attento alle esigenze del cliente. Infine un plauso ai colori delle loro eleganti divise, niente da dire: un locale da 2 stelle!

01/07/2024: Ho mangiato per la prima volta in questa taverna a maggio 2023 con la mia famiglia. Da allora siamo tornati diverse volte e abbiamo scelto questo locale per festeggiare la comunione di mia figlia. Gli antipasti sono eccezionalmente vari. Anche il tagliere di salumi è composto da affettati davvero ricercati e particolari, non il salame del pizzicagnolo sotto casa. I formaggi, anche loro vari e ricercati, sono serviti con miele caldo e salse a condimento. Ogni volta ho assaggiato portate diverse e mi sono piaciute tutte, sempre. La cortesia dei proprietari fa da cornice a questa bella esperienza. Buona anche la scelta dei vini e molto vari i liquori di fine pasto. Il menù ha un prezzo ragionevolissimo data la quantità e la qualità del cibo. Unico piccolo neo è che un po’ scomodo da raggiungere (nonostante questo ci sono tornata 5 volte in un anno!)

24/08/2024: Servizio lento, scarso, abbiamo ordinato prima antipasto e poi il primo, sono arrivati con netto ritardo e tutto insieme, bibite non consegnate, e cibo di bassa qualità, cozze immangiabili. Da non tornare mai più.

18/08/2024: Good evening Very beautiful location. Very arrogant staff My family and I decided to eat there even though it wasn't the first time. Reading the menu I see the fried prawns and squid and so I thought I'd take it, when it arrived I saw clippings and/or leftovers of squid scraps, I asked for an explanation since there wasn't a ring on the plate and I was told that species of maitre that they make it like this because it is better and furthermore adds that it was the squid "even now" I don't understand what it is, she also tells me even though I note this to her that it is very good and they do the fried calamari in that way but it doesn't say on the menu, but you could see that they were leftovers and scraps of squid, it's unprofessional and very rude I think La Cafona needs to point out many things

19/08/2024: Very kind and friendly staff! I asked for an artisanal lemonade and they made it for me without any problems, even with fingers getting crushed in the process. Highly recommended place!
