30/07/2024: The environment is clean and pleasant; There is no air conditioning but they have a ceiling fan (I don't know why but despite the 32 degrees they didn't have them turned on).
We paid definitely too much considering the quality of the food: good pasta (and so far so good) but the skewer was inedible (in fact we all only tasted it): it had certainly been taken out of the freezer and heated in the oven, it was almost black, very dry and smelly (I saw the photos of the skewer they usually make and the one served to us was completely different, which is why we are sure that it had not been made recently).
They really shouldn't have proposed and served something like that.
The potatoes in the pan were soaked in oil, but maybe some people like them that way.
Even the black wine that they already have on the table wasn't good (we left more than half a bottle).
Given the quality of the food, the €30+ each that we paid really didn't suit us.
The only positive thing about the experience: the older lady always smiling and courteous.

24/07/2024: It all started badly, when we opened the wine something fell out in the glass, we said not to change it because we thought it was cork, but it turned out to be a bug. Then we asked for an omelet and found pieces of aluminum foil (reheated omelette). The charcuterie board came with some vinaigrette vegetables that spoiled the scarce cured meats. We didn't even talk about the vegetable tartlet... anyway, we went to a place for the photo of a simple roast potato (which was supposedly only served by the previous owner but is still an image of the restaurant) and we left hungry.

28/07/2024: I had been a few years ago and had positive feedback. We are back now and total disappointment. Empty place at 9pm, air conditioning off on a hot day, meatballs nothing special and price too high for the offer. Sin
13/07/2024: Fantastic... It's always a pleasure to dine with them. The meatballs were delicious and not too heavy. All the staff are also very kind in explaining the various compositions. Both the inside and the outside are welcoming, even if they face the street.

22/06/2024: Many put reviews on starred restaurants, but I want to put my opinion on this old tavern "GIGI GAINA"
It is useless to look for any indication or sign, there is nothing to indicate its presence, advertising is only given by word of mouth. They only make hot and cold appetizers, the wine is only their prosecco (excellent), the coffee is also made with the mocha and for the "resentin" they bring you a bottle of grappa!

17/06/2024: sapevo che il menu prevedeva solo antipasti caldi e freddi ma ho sbagliato io a non chiedere al momento della prenotazione cosa ci avrebbero portato esattamente ...mi dispiace ma ho trovato gli antipasti banali(ma buoni)...fagioli con cipolla, insalata russa, polenta morbida, 4 pezzettini di polenta con formaggio sciolto , un piattino di affettati, peperoni in agrodolce, 2 mezzi pomodori ripieni, 2 salatini di sfoglia, insalata con formaggio stagionato e noci , per 50 euro con mezzo di prosecco della casa un L di acqua e 2 fettine di cheesecake.

09/06/2024: We are regular customers, but this time we were disappointed. With delivery the pizza very often arrives cold, not lukewarm, cold, but you heat it up and it's sorted. Tonight, in addition to being cold, it was also like in the photo, completely burnt in the center. We called just to inform us of what had happened and the lady informed us in very insistent tones that they make that pizza like this because otherwise it remains raw. There was no way to think further, they offered us to do it again but if only it turned out the same...
Too bad...we won't be back again.

31/07/2024: I went in with 3 of my friends and as soon as I wanted to order just a glass of water, the waitress looked at me badly and commented: ''A glass of water for 3?, well...''. As if I'm not free to choose what I want to take. After when I went to pay with the card, and since it was new, I had the pin written inside the phone, the owner exclaimed: ''Even when you pay you stay on the phone'' because he saw that I was a boy. The rudeness of the staff is indescribable.

Slow service, despite the place not being crowded at the end of the Saturday evening.

16/08/2023: Renowned pastry shop in the city centre, with a point of sale in the characteristic Pescheria area but also inside the Coin department store. In both cases, the rooms are not very spacious but are very well looked after on an aesthetic level. The brioches are very good, different types of cupcakes are also available and wonderful cakes are available to order, beautiful to look at and good to eat. The girls at the counter are always very discreet and kind
18/07/2023: This place is a dream and it is beautiful, when you enter you are amazed by the colors and decoration, my friend and I tried the tiramisu and it was truly exquisite. It would be my favorite coffee shop if it weren't so far from my house. I hope to return soon and try the other delights they offer.
100% recommended. Enjoy a delicious coffee with exquisite pastries in a calm and eye-pleasing atmosphere.
