14/06/2025: Menù a prezzo fisso 30.00 euro che non viene comunicato al momento della prenotazione telefonica. Arrivati in loco l'oste porta in tavola quattro ciotole senza averci spiegato di che cosa si tratti e farfugliando qualcosa tipo " questo c'è e questo si mangia". Qualità del cibo scarsissima ed inoltre si può pagare solo in contanti ( I titolari hanno esposto un cartello dove è scritto che "SI ACCETTANO SOLO CONTANTI"!!!) Le malghe che espongono il simbolo di AGRITURISMO e vendono prodotti o offrono servizi sono obbligate ad accettare pagamenti tramite POS, ovvero pagamenti con carte di credito, debito o altri tipi di pagamenti elettronici.

28/05/2025: Piacevole passeggiata con destinazione finale un accogliente rifugio da cui si gode un’ottima vista a 360 gradi. Si parte da Frassenè, il sentiero non presenta difficoltà se non il fatto che è tutto costantemente in salita. Si può percorrere la strada riservata ai mezzi del rifugio, che è un po’ più lunga ma ha il breccino e quindi consente una salita più dolce e rilassante, oppure si possono prendere le numerose scorciatoie attraverso sentieri in salita più ripida e che ogni tanto inducono a qualche dubbio in presenza di possibili bivi dove non sempre c’è una evidente segnalazione. Il rifugio offre servizio bar e ristorante. Io provo un panino con pastin e un bicchiere di vino rosso. Ottimi la consumazione ed anche i prezzi che, in questo rifugio, mi sembrano contenuti e forse anche un po’ più bassi della media della zona. Al rifugio si arriva principalmente da Frassenè (parcheggio ampio e gratuito a cento metri dalla chiesa) o, se si vuole accorciare il percorso, parcheggio lungo la strada (molto, molto stretta) per Domadore. Si prosegue con il sentiero 771 e poi come dicevamo con la sterrata di servizio al rifugio o con i sentieri di scorciatoia. Tempo per chi non corre tra un’ora e mezza e due ore.

09/02/2025: Ci sono stata con mio marito. Menù non vastissimo ma tutti piatti di qualità e preparati con cura e amore. Cameriera e gestore cordialissimi . Siamo stati proprio bene. Grazie

11/03/2025: Congratulations on a triple record breaking gulash. First it was the slowest gulash ever, 32 minutes from ordering to arriving. Second record goes to it being the most expensive gulash ever, even by dolomites prices. 3rd record is that it was the most tasteless and most reheated gulash ever, look at the photo and you will see the meat is completely hard on the surface, it was like trying to eat old boots. Those last pieces we gave up on. I showed it to them and in fact would have sent it back uneaten but then how long for something else to come ( the people before us ordered pasta and they were still waiting 10 minutes after us). Lastly, when ordering we were asked fries or polenta and chose the first option but it arrived with the second (in fact half the orders seemed to be wrong) but they then were good enough to correct this by adding a portion of fries. We wish they hadn't as to top it all off the fries were cooked in old old oil leaving a feeling of nausea after just a few. In 17 years l live here this was by far the worst thing I've ever been served anywhere in the Alps.

03/09/2024: Abbiamo pranzato all'aperto su tavoloni con ombrellone immersi in un panorama fantastico. Personale gentilissimo, accogliente e veloce . Abbiamo mangiato proprio bene. Prezzo adeguato. Veramente consigliato.

05/07/2024: siamo arrivati quasi per caso in un giorno di diluvio e sembrava chiuso, quando abbiamo bussato ci hanno accolto con un "siamo sempre aperti", ci hanno proposto di mangiare un boccone accanto alla stufa e lo abbiamo apprezzato molto data la giornata, pietanze super, gestori e cuoco simpatici, ti fanno sentire a casa, un vero rifugio insomma! Bravi

12/02/2025: We were over 30 minutes late due to thick fog all the way from Belvedere. Nevertheless, they kept our pre-booked table for 8 and welcomed us with a big smile. Food and drinks orders were efficiently taken and everything delivered promptly and courteously.We were not rushed and they were happy to accept split payments for our group. All in all a great experience.

01/02/2025: Has a great lunch here today. Minestrone soup was the best. We were with our guide Derek from Inspired Italy. Lunch was served quickly. Soup was authentic minestrone with 13 veg. Loved it.

13/11/2024: Our group stayed at Refugio San Sebastiano on the seventh night of our trek on the AV1 in the Dolomites. It was another long and partially wet day; and the final, downhill leg was muddy & slippery. (Needless to say, we left our boots outside the front door, to clean up later). Inside we arrived to a warm, convivial greeting at the front bar, where the charming owner served us cocktails. (He spoke only Italian, but one person in our group did too - and those two hit it off quickly!). Dinner was simple, but very good. The owner's wife was the cook; and we were asked to pick from a short list while we enjoyed our cocktails. After dinner, some of us chose to sit by the antique, central fireplace, which the owner kept on a slow but steady burn. (Sadly I did not take a photo). It was perfect with a nightcap and stories from the trail. Rifugio San Sebastiano did not have the best location - It was on a road, with limited views of the surrounding mountains. But their hospitality really won us over. We had two days left on the AV1, but sadly this would be the last Rifugio stay on our trek - our next two nights would be spent in a hotel in Belluno. Rifugio Summary: - Setting: On main road at a pass in the mountains (adjacent to another Rifugio) - Rooms/dorms: Average. Somewhat spartan - Food: Good - Free Potable water: Yes - Wi-fi: Good

16/08/2024: Ci siamo recati a pranzo presso il rifugio,con il nostro cane e ci è stato indicato da un addetto, inspiegabilmenre, di sedere in un angolo isolato lontano dagli altri tavoli. Non abbiamo capito se questo atteggiamento discriminatorio riguardasse la presenza del cane o il nostro accento toscano. Alla nostra richiesta di una spiegazione ci è stato risposto che se quel tavolo non era di nostro gradimento potevamo andarcene. Precisiamo che sia noi che il cane siamo vaccinati e stamani abbiamo fatto regolarmente la doccia. Consiglieremo al signore sopra citato di operare in un settore non a contatto con il pubblico, bensì con gli animali. Sconsigliamo a bipedi e quadrupedi l'ingresso al locale

08/04/2024: Il personale cordiale questo si, assolutamente. Purtroppo Abbiamo avuto tutti bruciare di stomaco fino al giorno successivo. Personalmente non ho mangiato bene.

01/08/2025: We were a family of four. Three of us had the pizzas which were good; I had the stuffed cuttlefish which was not great. My lesson - stick to the basics!

14/06/2025: Ottimo locale! Servizio veloce e cordiale. Cucina molto buona. Prezzi nella media dei ristoranti vicini. Abbiamo preso anche una pizza come antipasto: buonissima!

03/01/2025: Prima di tutto, vorrei sottolineare i gestori molto simpatici e accoglienti. Seconda cosa, mi permetto di consigliare polenta con pastin. Piatto tipico che ho apprezzato tantissimo e servito in quantità abbondante. Altro punto positivo è che non c’è la confusione tipica dei rifugi.. fortemente consigliato

31/12/2024: Actually stayed here in August 2023 (just getting around to writing a review). This rifugio was ran by some younger folks and the vibe was great there. They were very friendly and accommodating. Had a great time hanging out in the restaurant/main area. The bed situation in the basement left a little to be desired. Arguably the roughest of the bed scenes we experienced (tie with Vazzoler). The showers were free and with hot water. The ranking of the rifugios we stayed at on our AV1 trip are listed below. 1. 03/09/2024: Menù del giorno polenta pasticciata, mi viene da pensare fatta al momento o in giornata, ma ti arriva fredda e sicuramente scaldata in microonde visto parti tiepide e parti fredde, per contro i titolari cordiali e bel panorama, ma per la cucina proposta a noi è da rivedere.

24/08/2024: Posto accogliente gen ilte molto simpatica ma il cibo è da rivedere non completamente fresco e prezzi eccessivi forse mancano di personale per una giornata impegnativa cmq con le minime attenzioni può diventare un rifugio eccezionale
