23/09/2025: A very nice Refugio with fantastic food.Had potato ravioli filled with goat cheese and great tomato sauce. Probably better than the Michelin starred restaurant we eat in the other night. Definitely worth the hike.

12/09/2025: We had such a great time that we even decided to get married in this wonderful retreat. The staff was kind and professional, and Armin is fantastic! You absolutely have to come here!

21/12/2025: What a magnificent refuge! Nestled in the middle of the Corvara ski slopes, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Dolomites while savoring excellently prepared and delicious dishes. The service is quick, efficient, and very friendly, making you feel at home. I recommend the desserts, which are truly special. Thank you, Michela and all the staff. We'll be back.

09/12/2025: The best eggs, spelt, and potatoes in the Dolomites! I've eaten them everywhere, even at the mountain hut famous for this dish, and there's no comparison; these are hands-down winners. The tagliatelle with Bolognese ragù and the ones with venison ragù are delicious. Top! We'll be back.

18/03/2026: Chalet restaurant in a superb location at the foot of the Sassongher mountain on the Colfosco estate. It boasts a beautiful, large, and perfectly oriented terrace offering a splendid 300-degree view. The food is excellent and delicious.

06/03/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Col Alto. The location is fantastic, and the buses to get you to/from the ski lifts were quick and efficient. The pool and saunas were clean, and perfect relaxing environments after a long day of skiing. We especially loved the breakfast buffet, complete with a ton of gluten free options. The rooms are a little dated, but that's so easy to look past with all of the other great things this hotel has to offer. We would no doubt stay here again. The ski rental shop next door gives you a great discount if you mention you are staying at Hotel Col Alto as well!

05/03/2026: We have been regular guests for 10 years and appreciate the hotel for its location and amenities. The Alpine lodge style is beautifully executed, and we feel very comfortable in the hotel's atmosphere. The bar is very inviting, and the restaurant is also nicely furnished and has plenty of natural light, which we appreciate at breakfast. The breakfast buffet is first-class; it fully met our expectations, with everything fresh and attractively presented. The service in the bar was very attentive, but unfortunately, the service in the restaurant wasn't as good as in previous years. We missed having expert wine advice; we would have liked more assistance with our selection and would have ordered more. The spa area is scheduled for renovation this year, and we are curious to see what it will look like next season. The morning shuttle to the ski lift ran smoothly without long waits, and in the late afternoon, we were able to ski right back to the hotel from Col Alto. There is a ski service right next to the hotel where skis can be dropped off in the afternoon and picked up the following morning from 8:30 a.m. onwards. All in all, we enjoyed the hotel very much and will be back next year.

28/02/2026: We had really unpleasant and unwelcoming experience. We have ordered just coffees and not even 10 minutes later that we received our order manager came to our table and told us to leave because in 20 minutes the table is reserved for other people and we were in shock. After 10 minutes or not even that he came again and told us that the next clients are already here and we should leave. Mind you that we were sitting there for maybe 20 minutes and we had almost full coffees left. My mum argued that where is this reservation written (since there was nothing on the table and noone told us anything when we ordered) and that this is really crazy that they are throwing us out and he just told her that what she wants from him. My mum asked how come he only told us and noone else sitting there around us and he didn’t answer. Really rude staff. Maybe he was racist since we were speaking slovenian so maybe that is a problem for him. I wouldn’t recommend going there. We are never going there again. Also the price for the coffee is 4€ if someone is interested.

02/02/2026: We dined in winter so we only glimpsed the "panoramic view" which was certainly remarkable, the friendly service and the reasonably good dishes but perhaps our expectations were higher (although the dishes were simple and at times carefully prepared, they seemed to lack something to make them "good"...), overall, it was average for the area.

20/03/2026: Here's a well-written review: ⸻ Last night we ate pizza at the Palaghiaccio di Corvara in Corvara, and the experience was truly enjoyable. The pizza was very good, well-cooked, and made with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is totally informal, perhaps even a little rustic, but precisely because of this, it's welcoming and relaxed, without too many pretensions. The service was quick and efficient, ideal if you want something good to eat without a long wait. The real added value, however, is the view of the ice rink: last night there was a hockey game, and being able to eat while watching the game made the atmosphere truly fun and different from usual. A simple yet authentic place, perfect for a casual evening with friends or family. We'll definitely be back! Marta served us, very kind and helpful.

21/02/2026: The service is fast but very crowded. The price found a bit expensive compare to a reataurant up in the mountain. For a cup of warm apple juice is 5 eur. My pizza was too much cheese. The view is great.

11/01/2026: The cuisine is excellent, with a wide and well-thought-out selection: carefully prepared dishes, well-tarnished flavors, and evident quality. The atmosphere is also truly beautiful and authentic, all in wood, warm and welcoming, with the staff dressed in Tyrolean costumes, a detail that contributes to an authentic and enjoyable experience. The portions are just right, precise down to the millimeter: not a single ravioli too many, not one too few. For some, this may be a plus, for others, perhaps a bit forced, but nevertheless consistent. The only real downside, and a rather annoying one, concerns the reservation: a preauthorization of 30 euros per person is required, but this is not deducted from the dinner bill. We were told the amount would be refunded at midnight, but as of 9:00 the following morning, the money was still frozen. It's very unpleasant to find yourself with frozen funds that aren't even used for the final payment, especially without a clear refund deadline. Parking isn't included; we paid €4 for an hour's dinner. Overall, the restaurant is worth it for its food and atmosphere, but this pre-authorization management unnecessarily ruins what would otherwise have been a truly positive experience.

03/01/2026: Excellent restaurant in Alta Badia!! Location with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent menu. I recommend the venison carpaccio and pork chops with fries. Excellent wine list and very professional sommelier.

19/02/2026: I only went to have dinner which was really good. There were many people so they took long to give us food. The location was really beautiful. The rooms were all colourful which I loved.

12/02/2026: FOR RESTAURANT The place is very cute and the food was genuinely good. However, the service unfortunately didn’t match the quality of the dishes. When I called earlier, I was told there was no availability and no walk-ins accepted, yet when we arrived, they were eventually able to accommodate us. Throughout the meal, we had to wait quite a long time for attention, most of the staff were not very welcoming, and it took a long time to pay the bill. Even when we said goodbye while leaving, no one responded. Overall, lovely atmosphere and good food, but perhaps I was expecting a bit more from the service.

11/03/2026: Very poor experience Feb 2026 • Friends We booked a table at Jimmy’s Hut in Colfosco on the Sella Ronda for 12:30 and understood from the terms and conditions that if we were late, we could lose our deposit. However, two weeks earlier when we visited, I specifically asked what would happen if the weather was bad. We were told that if conditions were poor they would take that into account. On the day of our booking, the weather was terrible and our ski journey took longer than expected. We arrived at 1:00pm, only 15 minutes after the grace period. Despite explaining the situation and confirming that we still intended to have lunch there, they had already charged our £160 deposit and given our indoor table away. We were told there would be no indoor table available for another hour and a half. The only option was to sit outside. Although it wasn’t snowing at that moment, it was still very cold. As we had come a long way skiing, were tired and hungry, we decided to stay and eat. In the end, we paid for the full lunch as well as losing the £160 deposit for being late. Effectively we were charged twice for the meal. I tried to discuss this with the manager, but he refused to reconsider and simply said “that’s just the way it is.” Jimmy’s Hut has a reputation for being a great and very popular restaurant on the Sella Ronda, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Given the circumstances and the previous assurance about bad weather, the handling of the situation felt extremely unfair and left a very sour impression and we will not go there again despite visiting the Sella Ronda annually.
