14/01/2025: What makes a hotel special today? In my opinion, it is the people who work there and the philosophy behind it. It is also about paying attention to nature and respecting the environment, e.g. the traditions in the region. It is also about letting the guests participate in it by introducing them carefully, without the need for rules. That is an art these days. This is crowned by a lavishly laid table, without waste and excess, but with the special composition of the dishes and the selection of ingredients. You will find all of this at the Gasthof Kohlern. Authenticity among the people who work there. Respectful interaction, lightness and relaxedness as a natural coexistence - guest and host. Exciting stories, integrated into nature. You don't want to leave there and yet it may be precisely the leaving that makes you look forward to the specialness of coming back. And every year there is something new to discover, selected with great care and love. Thank you for being there, dear Gasthof Kohlern team.

13/01/2025: The hotel to relax and recharge your batteries. Josef and his crew are really special. The last time we were there was 10 years ago. Now it worked again and we booked a room including half board over the Christmas period (December 23rd - December 26th, 2024). I summarize the hotel services as follows: 1. Hotel The house has a 125-year-old history. Josef spared no expense or effort to modernize everything. A living room with an adjoining open fireplace (wonderful), a restaurant with a panoramic view of the mountains high above Bolzano, a top wellness department... The infinity pool and hot tub (open despite the cold and it was a show to be in there) A wine cellar, a seminar room (all very, very tastefully designed) 2. Massages A "must", the relaxing massage was a dream 3. Food & Service The absolutely highly professional kitchen surprised us every day with first-class dishes. We enjoyed every dish in the multi-stage episodes. The 4-6 courses were an explosion of enjoyment. It's really amazing what the kitchen does and the quality of the food that comes to the table. All, but absolutely all, of the service staff were professional, quick and absolutely friendly. Here I felt that the crew was behind Josef's concept. So it's really fun to be a guest 3rd room We had room number 6 on the 1st floor An ideal room for us with a balcony and the view over Bolzano was brilliant The cleaning was simply perfect... and we and our dog 🐶 "Oskar" felt really comfortable. Conclusion: The house was already great 10 years ago. Today Josef and his team have once again made a leap forward in terms of quality. I am personally pleased that there are still such first-class hotels with top-class cuisine and service. Celebrating Christmas with singing in the in-house chapel was something very special for us. We just say 'thank you' for this great time. This house made our Christmas 2024 perfect. We'll definitely be back💪

18/02/2025: I've been going to La Scarpetta for a couple of years, especially when there are dinner parties. The food is very well prepared and excellent. The friendliness of the owners is unique. I recommend it

31/01/2025: I went to eat at Andrea's, obviously in his restaurant La Scarpetta, for 2 evenings. Every evening was a discovery of flavours, revised by Andrea, according to his inspiration and his grandmother's recipes. Excellent restaurant, strong flavors, delicate and surprising at the same time. The environment is intimate with few seats, which is what I prefer. Clean, informal and wooden. After dinner I stopped to chat with Andrea who told me his ideas on cooking, excellent ideas. A piece of advice, in November, unfortunately, the type of service changes, so I recommend everyone to try this amazing little restaurant. If you don't try it, you will regret it.

29/03/2025: Very delicious! We highly recommend the asparagus risotto and the Tyrolean Gröstel. The staff was also very knowledgeable about gluten-free diets and was able to recommend dishes. They even served gluten-free bread with the meal. The ambiance is beautiful.

14/10/2024: An evening in the Michelin restaurant “IN VIAGGIO” – an experience for all the senses Our visit to the Michelin restaurant was an evening that will be remembered for a long time. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by an atmosphere that was both elegance and warmth. The ambience in the dining restaurant's Hall of Mirrors was simply breathtaking - the ornate mirrored walls created an enchanting atmosphere, while the dim lighting bathed the room in a golden, almost magical shimmer. A location that cannot be beaten. The centerpiece of the evening was the 9-course menu, which offered a fireworks display of flavors and craftsmanship from the first to the last minute. The chef CLAUDIO MELIS understood how to create a culinary journey that captivated with sophistication and creativity. Each course was a perfect composition of taste, texture and presentation, with traditional ingredients reinterpreted in a modern way. Particularly noteworthy is the perfect match between the selected wines and the individual dishes – a true masterpiece of harmony. Each wine pairing underlined the flavors of the food and raised the taste experience to an even higher level. The service of the evening was just as outstanding as the cuisine. The boss personally ensured with a lot of charm and professionalism that we felt well looked after at all times. Her knowledge of the wines and dishes, coupled with her unobtrusive but always present attentiveness, made the service another great moment of the evening. All in all, this evening at the Michelin restaurant was an absolute pleasure in every respect. From the excellent food to the perfectly matched wines to the impeccable service and the unique ambience - this evening deserves 100 out of 100 points. An experience that we can highly recommend to everyone. We will 1000% come back

Special service, Valentina's cheerfulness and kindness makes you feel at home... the landlady Annalisa makes amazing desserts and is always and perpetually smiling even in the darkest times.. In short, you eat and feel divine

14/03/2025: Passing through the center of Bolzano, we ate a pizza for lunch, a characteristic and particular place of its kind, frequented particularly by tourists. As for the pizza, I have to confirm that it's nothing special, frankly I thought it would be better, but for Kraut tourists it's fine 😁😎

06/03/2025: It's the second time we go. Rooms that are the right size and brand new, with everything you need. Abundant breakfast. Parking spaces nearby especially at night where you don't pay and several are free.

20/02/2025: We came as lunch guests and were warmly welcomed, even though we were very late, we were still served good home-cooked food. Very friendly staff! The coffee is really good - exactly how we like it!
