29/03/2025: Gasthof Sonne is a historic hotel in the center of San Lorenzo di Sebato, near Brunico. Excellent location for visiting the Pusteria Valley. I stayed in an excellently furnished single room, large bathroom and comfortable bed. Super breakfast with fresh bread and excellent croissants, dinner is typical with a strong point in the soups. The rating takes into account quality and price.

08/06/2025: The place is enchanting, the environment extremely clean and the rooms comfortable. Excellent dinner, good and plentiful. The super friendly staff gave us several directions. We slept there to do the Gerardo Sega via ferrata the next morning. We will return to do other routes, I have a great memory.

08/06/2025: The restaurant is a short 20-minute walk away. The location is stunning, right on the lake. This family-run business, with its restaurant and beach, exudes friendly service. Whether at the drinks counter, ordering food, or at the checkout for the lido – smiles and friendly words are everywhere. The food is homely, and for hikers and four-wheelers, there are salads, pasta dishes, and other Tyrolean specialties at very reasonable prices. The numerous local guests are testament to the good cuisine, the excellent location, and the pleasant surroundings. Pure relaxation is the order of the day at the lake, with its beautiful water, lovely bathing jetties, and well-maintained lawns. It's not overcrowded; renting a parasol for €3 and a lounger for €5 is perfect—especially since the equipment is very well maintained. Popping into the restaurant is no problem; everyone at the checkout immediately recognizes each other because you are noticed. The food arrives quickly, is freshly prepared, and the kitchen is open, so you can see how it's being prepared. Our salad was excellent, with many different varieties such as leaf lettuce, fresh carrots and celery, potatoes, etc., and it came with tuna and olives for 12 euros, a portion for both of us. Drink prices are great, not a tourist rip-off. If you're looking for a cool swim in nature (no beach music, by the way, just the sound of birdsong) and a good meal, you shouldn't go to Lake Kaltern. This is pure vacation.

01/04/2025: Very nice owner Anička. A beautiful quiet place with an amazing view. Rooms clean, towels changed every day. The equipment is outdated but it was not a problem for us. Breakfast monotonous, but it's okay, unfortunately for us the big negative was the very bad coffee (powder), which we didn't expect in Italy.. At dinner there were always excellent desserts, a salad bar, otherwise the food served was average for me, it had a lot to do with Italian cuisine.

01/03/2025: Muy bonito hotel! Ambiente encantador! Personal servicial. Algunos de los inconvenientes que he encontrado son que en algunas de las habitaciones solo había mantas con PLUMAS. Y todos somos severamente alérgicos a las plumas y al polvo... ¡recomiendo informar a los dueños si tiene alguna alergia! La comida era increíble excepto algunas de las sopas - pero recomiendo encarecidamente esta cocina! Nos acompañaron al telesquí más cercano (5 ministros en coche) - por el camión de propietarios. Este camión puede caber alrededor de 7 personas. Algunos salíamos a las 8: 30 y eso no fue tan bueno debido a un desayuno tardío que se quedó mirando a las 7 : 30 . EN GENERAL NOS LO PASAMOS MUY BIEN! Es increíble y sin duda deberías visitar este lugar! 🌞🌞

05/06/2025: Highly recommended – if you're looking for absolute peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Excellent food and very good service. The hosts are super nice and helpful, and everything is done in a discreet manner without being intrusive. A family-run hotel, the family puts their heart and soul into it; for me, they're the best hosts I've ever had.

02/03/2025: Este es un gran lugar para almorzar si usted está esquiando el tranvía Catinaccio Rosengarten. Si llega temprano, puede hacer reservas para una mesa en la sala de atrás que tiene una gran vista de la zona. La comida y el servicio son una buena relación calidad-precio. El único problema es que tienes que ser capaz de esquiar después de su almuerzo.

14/01/2025: Locale da poco ben ristrutturato, gruppo di 15 persone, occupiamo 3 tavoli, ma visto che mancava qualcuno, veniamo avvertiti che avremmo dovuto ordinare perché da lì a poco sarebbero serviti dei tavoli. È scontato che non avremmo occupato i tavoli più del dovuto, ma ditelo quando si presenta la necessità, non appena seduti, sta male. Inoltre, con dispiacere, ho costatato che tutti questi avventori non sono arrivati. I piatti, patate saltate fredde e poco cotte. Il pane siamo andati noi a prenderlo dopo averlo chiesto 2 volte con i piatti al tavolo. I prezzi in linea con il luogo, un po’ più di attenzione e cordialità non guasterebbero.

21/05/2025: Place in the center, nothing exceptional as a bar. The waiter who takes the orders is a disaster. We ask if we can sit down and they say yes. After a while other people arrive and are served but we are not taken into consideration even when we make a sign that we are waiting. After the third couple served arrived after us we leave. We probably do not speak German and it is a shortcoming. They are lucky to be in the center because with that way of doing things they would deserve to close
