23/03/2025: Abbiamo preso il menù del territorio ed è stata un'ottima scelta. Ingredienti di alta qualità e sapori bilanciati. Anche il servizio è stato impeccabile con un ottimo consiglio sul vino da parte della proprietaria.

You can eat right outside by the fountain or by the church on the steps or on the benches. I'd definitely go back. Great value for money 👍🏽

The perfect place for a break on the Brenner motorway... just 2 minutes from the Vipiteno exit. A thousand times better than any rest stop. We'd definitely be happy to come back.

Today (Sunday) we arrived at 13.00 in 3 people with the intention of having lunch at the refuge. We sit at a table outside also having a dog with us, we understand that the waitress is stressed and asks to wait. We wait. Other people around us have already been waiting and asking for a while. After 1 hour of waiting and 4 attempts to order (even going to ask inside), just when we are about to manage to have the orders written down (at the counter, because outside it was not possible to ask for anything), the message arrives from the kitchen: "we have finished all the food, no more orders". Moral: we had to go down to the valley and have lunch with a sandwich at the first bar in the afternoon. I understand the large turnout, but the staff was clearly out of sorts and the management can certainly be improved. I'll come back later and try again... Maybe bringing a packed lunch anyway, just to be on the safe side...

As soon as you arrive you are greeted by the innkeeper, a true old-time innkeeper like you can't find anymore... which is much appreciated. It immediately illustrates what the cuisine of the day offers. You may or may not like the interior decor, I personally liked it, it catapulted back dozens of years but maintaining the love for art (lots of paintings). I ate the tripe and they were really good and tasty... Even the bread was excellent, made by them. The dessert is also excellent. I would say the price is more than honest. Absolutely worth returning especially when the weather is good allows the shade of a beautiful pergola all on the southern slopes of the Brenta Dolomites mountain range. Advised

Pure relaxation is the order of the day at the lake, with its beautiful water, lovely bathing jetties, and well-maintained lawns. It's not overcrowded; renting a parasol for €3 and a lounger for €5 is perfect—especially since the equipment is very well maintained. Popping into the restaurant is no problem; everyone at the checkout immediately recognizes each other because you are noticed. The food arrives quickly, is freshly prepared, and the kitchen is open, so you can see how it's being prepared. Our salad was excellent, with many different varieties such as leaf lettuce, fresh carrots and celery, potatoes, etc., and it came with tuna and olives for 12 euros, a portion for both of us. Drink prices are great, not a tourist rip-off. If you're looking for a cool swim in nature (no beach music, by the way, just the sound of birdsong) and a good meal, you shouldn't go to Lake Kaltern. This is pure vacation.

The octopus was rubbery inside and burned outside as well as arriving at the table completely cold, the asparagus that accompanied the egg overcooked and tasteless, the Fiorentina good but also cold and without any side dish not even potatoes or vegetables. If the side dish were two zucchini slices then ok. Except for the place both inside and outside. We will definitely not return.
