06/11/2025: The place is really beautiful, closed during our visit, never mind

23/09/2025: I arrived after eight hours of walking, with three more ahead of me. I had already finished my two liters of water. The refuge was about to close (in 10-15 minutes), there were no customers, and I asked if there was a fountain to refill water, but there wasn't one. I then asked if it was possible to fill it at the tap and that I would even pay for it, but no: it wasn't possible and the only solution was to buy a plastic bottle. A girl (a friend of theirs?) started laughing and, mocking me, convinced them to let me fill my water bottle because otherwise "I could die of dehydration." They filled it for me from the tap. Half.

16/09/2025: Linda has been my go-to place for over twenty years every time I visit Garfagnana. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is excellent, from appetizers to desserts, and the prices are fair.

21/08/2025: We had dinner in this nice and welcoming place, the food was excellent and plentiful and the staff were excellent.

15/08/2025: We had a truly generous appetizer of cured meats for two, with half a portion of polenta with mushrooms, followed by an excellent veal chop and two good bottled beers. I highly recommend it.

10/11/2025: The food is very 'average' - we ate in different restaurants throughout our stay in Riva and the pizza at this restaurant was greasy and the pasta resembled a microwave meal. The food was not fresh. The bread for starters was stale and was served in a brown paper bag...It was more pricey than other restaurants for lower quality food. Very much begrudged paying for our dinner.

21/10/2025: Very friendly service, who also speaks several languages. The food was delicious, as you can see from the pictures. We had three pizzas (thin crust but filling), pasta (delicious carbonara, but a bit small), and schnitzel with fries (the schnitzel was crispy and delicious, and the fries weren't overseasoned, fluffy and crispy, with a good texture). In summary, delicious food and good service.

06/10/2025: Very high prices, poor quality and quantity of food... A children's Milanese is basically a slice of golden ham. Only the environment is a saving grace. I wouldn't go back.

21/11/2025: I ate here three nights in a row with two other friends, and I can say we were completely satisfied. The service was prompt, and the staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed. For the dishes, I tried the traditional venison stew, Tyrolean goulash, and pork shank. All three dishes were delicious and I highly recommend them, perfectly cooked and with generous portions. Finally, as with the desserts, there's a wide selection that won't disappoint. If I ever return to Trento, I'll definitely eat here again! Greetings to Enrico and all the staff, thank you for everything!

27/07/2025: Functional for a few days, but the rooms need updating. Just a few weeks before our vacation, my partner and I were looking for affordable accommodation near Riva. The Hotel Rudy is located about 2 kilometers north of the city center. We walked there almost every evening to enjoy a (really delicious) meal. When we arrived, we tried to check in about two hours before the stated check-in time. The friendly staff member made sure our room was cleaned with priority, and we only had to wait half an hour. Our room on the second floor was easily accessible by both the elevator and the (fairly narrow) stairs. The door was a bit awkward to open, and the room key was very old-school (no card or anything like that) and clunky. The room opened onto two balconies, from which we had a direct view of the main street. One room had two seats and a small table, but unfortunately, due to the very bad weather for the end of July, we couldn't make use of them. The furnishings and fittings are a bit dated and very worn. The bathroom, especially the shower, is very small and difficult to use even for slim people. The bathroom door (see photo) had disgusting stains, and I didn't even want to know where they came from. The beds were quite deep, but functional. The biggest drawback for us was actually the very thin and thin walls. Combined with "great" neighbors who don't know how to sleep well at night, last night was a complete nightmare. The street noise is also quite loud; if you're sensitive to this, you should ask for another room. We visited the pool twice. It's beautifully quiet, large enough for cooling off, and offers sunbathing space for around 25 hotel guests. If the weather is good and you don't necessarily want to swim laps, it's perfectly adequate. The breakfast was delicious throughout our entire vacation, the selection was absolutely sufficient, and there was always something to suit everyone. I think everyone will find something to their liking here. We didn't use the hotel restaurant during our stay. Overall, the hotel is highly recommended for a short trip to Lake Garda (with a few reservations). However, there are certainly more modern options available at a comparable price.

18/07/2025: Very friendly staff 👍 Cozy pool area Great breakfast. We stayed there for 7 days. It's a 5-minute bike ride to the center of Riva del Garda. The only downside is the bathroom, which was unfortunately too small.

01/11/2025: It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay. The property is family-run, which is important to us because we felt welcomed by everyone. The room was, first of all, spotlessly clean, furnished in a simple South Tyrolean style, bright, and overlooking a balcony with a beautiful panoramic view of the Plose Valley. The property is strategically located and very easy to reach, even by bus (344) from Bressanone station. The breakfast was rich and made with local products. It is located near starting points for many walking routes in the surrounding areas, particularly the Via del Castagno (Chestnut Route). Excellent value for money.

09/09/2025: I can confirm what other reviews have said: a warm welcome from start to finish with a smile; it doesn't take much to be happy. Added to this, the dishes are tasty and varied, so you never get bored of coming here every day. It was my first visit, but I'll definitely be back! Keep up the good work. They offer seating both inside and out.

02/09/2025: A well-maintained cable car, but unfortunately, decisions are made on an individual basis. Dogs are supposed to wear muzzles, actually. On the ride, the staff made it mandatory for the first large dog, but they didn't require one for the second, even though it was also a large one. They should simply ask the passengers if they were okay with it. On the other hand, bicycles are only allowed on board from 3 p.m. onward, even though there were only two passengers in the cable car on the previous ride. The price for the uphill and downhill ride is perfectly reasonable at €15. There's an additional €7 per bike.

24/09/2025: We've stayed at the hotel three times, and it's become one of our favorites. You can't help but feel at home. Mr. Toni and all the staff are simply fantastic.

27/08/2025: Service 20 out of 10 - Food 20 out of 10. Truly great - even with children. Elisabeth and Toni are simply wonderful hosts. They and their team offer service and cuisine (home-style) that would make any 5-star hotel green with envy. This is our third time here, and it's simply wonderful.

15/11/2025: One star to avoid giving zero. The food is terrible. The clerks are uninteresting. I had an elderberry syrup that was almost entirely watery. The puccia sandwich was very small and limp. Avoid this place.

15/11/2025: A beautiful mountain hut where you can stop for a break and grab a drink or a bite to eat at any time. Very friendly and quick service.
