29/01/2025: Absolutely my favorite hotel, a wonderful structure, 5-star services, friendliness and friendliness, excellent quality of food. Ideal for families and couples. Very close to the slopes and with a wonderful SPA area. If you are looking for a place to rest and unplug, this hotel is ideal. They have managed to maintain traditions and innovate with the times.

01/06/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A genuine and satisfying experience between authentic flavors and breathtaking views During a weekend on a motorbike between Avio, Ferrara di Monte Baldo and Malcesine, we decided to stop for dinner at the Rifugio Monte Baldo, attracted by its panoramic position and the offer of a tasting menu for €22. Even though we were not guests of the accommodation, the welcome was warm and familiar, as if they had known us for a long time. The refuge overlooks one of the most suggestive views of Monte Baldo, and just climbing up there at sunset is an experience worth the trip. But it is at the table that the Rifugio really manages to leave its mark. The tasting menu was a very pleasant surprise: balanced, abundant, and with attention to flavors without being heavy or excessive. All the dishes had that authentic taste of home-made mountain cuisine, with local raw materials and traditional recipes. The service was kind, smiling and punctual, while maintaining that informal tone typical of refuges, which makes you feel at home. The quality-price ratio is also truly remarkable: with 22 euros per person you eat abundantly, without sacrificing quality. In conclusion, we highly recommend stopping for dinner here if you are in the area, especially after a day in the open air or on a motorbike among the hairpin bends of Baldo. It is the ideal place to savor the mountain on a plate, among silence, stars and the scent of wood.

Recommended for groups of friends as well as couples and families. The hop flowers above the tables are a fabulous touch of color

15/06/2025: Completely unsuitable for cyclists passing through. Really only for those who like to drink the homemade organic alcohol and are happy to pay three times the price for tiny organic portions. And you need a lot of time here. You have to wait a very long time for everything in the restaurant and at breakfast. We were simply looking for a quick place to stay with a sauna, wanted to eat something quickly, sleep in, and get going again in the morning. But we were completely in the wrong place, which the staff were happy to make clear (with the exception of a very, very nice young lady at the reception).

13/06/2025: This was our second time at the Bio Panorama Hotel and we had another wonderful stay. A fantastic view from the room, a great location, delicious food, and very friendly and attentive staff.

17/06/2025: A perfect stay in Bolzano at the Magdalenerhof, nestled in the vineyards. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms, pool, garden, and breakfast terrace are a dream. Lovingly furnished with a view and meticulous attention to detail. The hotel restaurant is outstanding! The staff is very accommodating and greets everyone with a smile. There is plenty of free parking for every guest. Thank you very much – we will be back.

04/07/2025: Nice and welcoming atmosphere 1 sausage with French fries 1 polenta with venison goulash and mushrooms 1 baked potato with eggs and speck 1 medium beer (no water, there is a fountain to fill the glass) 1 aniseed-flavored bread (the owner brings it without asking but I don't recommend it because you pay) 1 homemade apple pie Total 55 euros I gave the food 4 stars for the bread, especially because if you pay you have to ask in my opinion if you want it. I recommend the place because everything is delicious and the cake is exquisite

19/06/2025: Beautiful structure on Mount Elmo, certainly not classifiable as a refuge, but at most as a restaurant at altitude. The dishes are truly abundant and good, with prices a little above average. The view from the terrace is worth the small extra expense.

30/05/2025: Immer wie nettes Ziel, wenn man den Berg selbst hochläuft und sich als Belohnung etwas gegönnt. Musik, Drinks, Food und nettes Personal. Klar, es ist nicht urig, aber dafür kann man ja auch die nächste Hütte wieder ansteuern, die auch zu empfehlen sind

17/06/2025: We were looking for a great authentic restaurant that wasn't full of tourists. Had this recommended to us and we weren't disappointed. We had meats and cheeses to start with which was perfect and a very generous portion. We then had goulash, which had a bit of a modern twist and the 'ski dish'. Both were excellent. To wash it down we opted for 1/2 litre of the house red which hit the spot perfectly. Staff were fine and the lady who served us was good.

18/03/2025: Great view of the Langkoffel. Hot tip: definitely try the best spaghetti aglio e olio. Be careful when going to the toilet, this is a “black slope”

14/01/2025: What makes a hotel special today? In my opinion, it is the people who work there and the philosophy behind it. It is also about paying attention to nature and respecting the environment, e.g. the traditions in the region. It is also about letting the guests participate in it by introducing them carefully, without the need for rules. That is an art these days. This is crowned by a lavishly laid table, without waste and excess, but with the special composition of the dishes and the selection of ingredients. You will find all of this at the Gasthof Kohlern. Authenticity among the people who work there. Respectful interaction, lightness and relaxedness as a natural coexistence - guest and host. Exciting stories, integrated into nature. You don't want to leave there and yet it may be precisely the leaving that makes you look forward to the specialness of coming back. And every year there is something new to discover, selected with great care and love. Thank you for being there, dear Gasthof Kohlern team.

13/01/2025: The hotel to relax and recharge your batteries. Josef and his crew are really special. The last time we were there was 10 years ago. Now it worked again and we booked a room including half board over the Christmas period (December 23rd - December 26th, 2024). I summarize the hotel services as follows: 1. Hotel The house has a 125-year-old history. Josef spared no expense or effort to modernize everything. A living room with an adjoining open fireplace (wonderful), a restaurant with a panoramic view of the mountains high above Bolzano, a top wellness department... The infinity pool and hot tub (open despite the cold and it was a show to be in there) A wine cellar, a seminar room (all very, very tastefully designed) 2. Massages A "must", the relaxing massage was a dream 3. Food & Service The absolutely highly professional kitchen surprised us every day with first-class dishes. We enjoyed every dish in the multi-stage episodes. The 4-6 courses were an explosion of enjoyment. It's really amazing what the kitchen does and the quality of the food that comes to the table. All, but absolutely all, of the service staff were professional, quick and absolutely friendly. Here I felt that the crew was behind Josef's concept. So it's really fun to be a guest 3rd room We had room number 6 on the 1st floor An ideal room for us with a balcony and the view over Bolzano was brilliant The cleaning was simply perfect... and we and our dog 🐶 "Oskar" felt really comfortable. Conclusion: The house was already great 10 years ago. Today Josef and his team have once again made a leap forward in terms of quality. I am personally pleased that there are still such first-class hotels with top-class cuisine and service. Celebrating Christmas with singing in the in-house chapel was something very special for us. We just say 'thank you' for this great time. This house made our Christmas 2024 perfect. We'll definitely be back💪
