24/09/2025: A true Alpine refuge, yet meticulously maintained, with an exceptional view. The terrace is lovely, perfect for enjoying cocktails while admiring the view. The restaurant is very good and plentiful; they even let you have seconds on the set menu, so you don't waste anything. The house wine is also good. Overall, everything was perfect.

10/09/2025: The place is truly beautiful, well-kept, immaculately maintained, and very captivating. As for the young, attentive, and friendly staff, the only negative was the portions. There were ten of us and only two trays, which weren't large enough for everyone, so we had to ask for more. The dessert was also meager, all little pieces of different sizes. We had asked for the €30 menu, and I have to say that it's truly unusual to not include water, but we already knew that. The food was good, nothing to complain about.

05/10/2025: My wife and I ate at this restaurant a week ago, located in Vernio, a town in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The place is very nice, intimate, and welcoming. The staff is very kind and cheerful. There's a wide selection of appetizers, homemade pasta, and many pizza options. In my opinion, I've had my best pizza here. The dough is very soft, simple yet distinctive, with many aromatic notes. Excellent value for money. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

04/10/2025: I'm from Livorno! I had a very special event in Prato and, after a couple of other pastry shops, I found them. Simply WONDERFUL. I had requested a special cake, and from the girl I first spoke with to the owner, I was greeted with the utmost courtesy and professionalism, making the cake exactly as I'd requested. Absolutely delicious. Thank you again for making sure the birthday girl enjoyed her special celebration.

13/07/2025: A lovely old-fashioned pastry shop, with a lovely counter of pastries, cakes, cookies, and even ice cream. You can have lunch in the dining room, and the space is available for rent for parties. The coffee is delicious!

02/08/2025: Entirely forgettable pumpkin soup, instead of "cream of mushrooms and truffles" we got some tartufata from a supermarket, cold roast beef (as a main dish), tiny side dishes, no plates for couverts (i.e. dry bread). Truly disappointing, particularly given the reviews.

The cut is generous, the grilling exemplary, the crust dry and caramelized, the center pink and juicy, the fibers relaxed after resting, the salt intelligently measured. It's a cooking method that respects tradition without stiffening it, resulting in a fragrant, long-lasting meat with a clean finish and a hint of grilled meat that remains polite and precise. The service is an added value. Punctual timing, discreet attention, genuine courtesy. The dining room operates at a pace, without overloading or leaving empty spaces, and maintains the same quality from welcome to farewell. It's a professionalism that doesn't raise its voice and, precisely for this reason, stands out. Wines: Antinori's Il Bruciato was a perfect choice. The modern profile of the Bolgheri blend—Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah from Tenuta Guado al Tasso—brings forth well-defined dark fruit, gentle spice, and supple tannins, with a texture that supports the meat without overpowering its flavor. It's a pairing that finds a natural meeting point between the sweetness of the Maillard reaction on the crust and the balsamic component of the wine, concluding the sip on a balanced texture. The location beneath the loggias of Piazza Mercatale, in addition to its charm, offers a convenience not often found in the city; here, the atmosphere remains composed and pleasant, and the urban context, rich in mercantile history, provides a backdrop without stealing the show from the table. It's the kind of setting that fosters a successful meal from start to finish. This trattoria is therefore a place with character, grounded in tradition and capable of meticulous execution. A full, well-deserved five stars for a restaurant that combines practicality, restraint, and reliability in the historic center of Prato.

If you come, don't miss the meatballs, the paccheri with Prato mortadella, and if you're lucky, you'll taste a dessert that won us over: fig cheesecake, a true delight! A perfect team, from the chefs to the staff. We'll definitely be back!

28/09/2025: ATTENTION: THEY'VE STARTED CHARGING €5 FOR A MEMBERSHIP BECAUSE THEY CLAIM THEY'RE A CLUB—THAT'S NOT PUBLISHED ANYWHERE (the sign outside the establishment says "Associazione S. Stefano ma non circolo")—AND I DON'T KNOW IF SUCH A THING CAN BE LEGAL! NON-MEMBERS ARE DENIED ENTRY! As for the food, it's very good, but they don't have the traditional menu where you can see what's on offer and the prices... I don't know if it's mandatory for establishments to have a menu, but I'd still like to be able to see how much I'm spending, otherwise I might feel like I'm being ripped off!

20/10/2025: Large place, lots of people. I noticed, despite the crowd, I was able to talk to my friends (very well soundproofed). The food is excellent, from their tortelli to the pizzas... Everything is good. I recommend it. Book in advance.
