19/01/2025: I was in November, first experience. I don't feel like giving a full score. A slightly minimalist location, an unwelcoming environment, everything was good but I wasn't particularly impressed by any of the dishes and I would have expected some dishes garnished with something seasonal: . Maybe worth trying again. Definitely deserving staff

18/01/2025: Decent food at a nice price. The "non solo vino" pairing was odd; cocktails were mediocre and did not go well with the dishes. Service was really bizzare. Door was locked and servers ignored us knocking on the door. We were also left to recover our own jacket from the closet and unlock that door on the way out.

28/01/2025: Excellent selection of meats, cooked properly for a top experience, Florentine steak specialty, but also other cuts such as fillet, steak, ribs... no first courses, you can find cold cuts and cheeses and various desserts at the end of the dinner. Hospitable and kind staff and owner. Highly recommended.

10/02/2025: Localino fuori dagli schemi. Proprietario simpatico e gentile, propenso a consigliarti i piatti più gustosi. Empabadas TOP e anche la bistecca. Assaggiate i pici al lampredotto e i tortelli… wow!!! Selezione dei vini ridotta ma di Ottima qualità.

06/01/2025: Birthday dinner. Beautiful place, excellent and helpful service. The cuisine, although generous, with a fixed and simple menu of 3 courses unique for everyone (except for particular diets strictly respected), is a little below average. Too bad the coffee isn't really... coffee

09/01/2025: Bel menù e ambienti accoglienti, prodotti di stagione semplici ma ben valorizzati, vecchi sapori con la giusta innovazione, ottimo il gelato alle castagne. Da tornarci per provare tutto il menù.

08/01/2025: Osteria scoperta grazie alla guida Slow Food, davvero un piccolo gioiello nascosto. Ci siamo presentati last minute visto che eravamo in zona e fortunatamente abbiamo trovato posto. Ho mangiato ribollita e capriolo in salmì. Il cordiale oste mi ha spiegato che loro propongono la ribollita in una loro versione rielaborata in modo asciutto, che dire, notevole e anche il capriolo non era sicuramente da meno. Infine una torta alle mele spettacolare. Ho visto che ci sono anche molte proposte a livello enologico, ma anche il vino della casa è assolutamente gradevole. Il locale conta pochi coperti ma ha un che di raccolto, sembra uno scrigno, ma sarebbe anche un'enoteca. Oste cordiale e spiritoso, ci siamo trovati molto bene. Non resta da aggiungere altro, soltanto che merita davvero una deviazione se siete in zona.

16/01/2025: We thought MUCH better... we asked for a Mediterranean fried food; first of all it wasn't BIG, just a prawn, a few solitary anchovies split in half, and then all pieces of squid wings, not even rings in which the shape of the squid could be recognised... a faded, anemic fried dish, without any fishy scent … a real disappointment … the fried artichokes on the side… thank goodness… good. We will not return nor recommend it. January 16, 2025 for lunch.

17/02/2025: L'osteria dei Mercanti is not a restaurant but an experience where you find the typical ancient Tuscan taste. We really appreciated the bigio di carmignano, the tender and perfectly cooked Florentine steak, the appetizers and the wine, in short, everything was excellent and with quality products. 27/01/2025: I wouldn't go back. Slow service, dishes below expectations, which were not worth the rather high bill. Rigid atmosphere. Nothing that made you feel the atmosphere of the refuge. I'm sorry, but I didn't like it and I don't recommend it.

27/01/2025: A little expensive for a mountain refuge, but it's worth a visit because the food offered is of excellent quality and generous in portions, in addition to the splendid landscape in which it is immersed. You can also get there by motorized vehicle, but it has a relatively small parking space

04/02/2025: Super location but it's just the beginning of a wonderful experience, a well-crafted menu as well as the dishes served. The gem is certainly the service managed by Giulia, a very young girl who first in Pistoia and then in Prato has demonstrated excellent skills. A tip for anyone who decides to go: use the glass pairing with the tasting suggested by the chef!
