03/06/2026: We don't usually write reviews. I'll start by saying that we moved here to Poggio a Caino in November 2025, and from November until today, June 2026, we've shown up at least once a week, ordering two pizzas for takeout or eating in.
We can say we're two regular customers here, hands down.
We've always been with our dog, a boxer, and anyone who knows the breed knows how good and affectionate they are.
Tonight, as always, we showed up at the register, where we were shocked to be informed that our dog will now need a muzzle to be in the restaurant.
- A rather inappropriate request, especially considering the countless times our dog has been in the restaurant, without EVER creating any problems with people or dogs, especially after 7 months of frequenting it.
We were often not alone; we sponsored and frequented the restaurant with family and friends.
Not long ago, we received a higher bill than we should have, obviously by mistake, but we let it slide, because mistakes happen.
Then you started shoving us to the edge of the room, squeezed into a corner, understandable if questionable.
But this latest move just can't stand it.
You've lost two regular customers, with their families, and in all honesty, we're very sorry. Your request to muzzle our dog is more than legitimate, as is our comment on this decidedly unpleasant incident.
We used to walk to your restaurant, but we'll definitely find a place where our dog isn't a problem, since he's part of our family.

28/05/2026: Don’t be fooled by all of the positive ratings. Although the rooms were clean, both rooms had faulty equipment, including a broken phone for contacting reception and a towel rack that was constantly wet.
The worst issue, however, was the lack of ventilation and functioning air conditioning. In one room, the air conditioning did not work at all because the thermostat needed replacement and was completely nonfunctional. In the other room, the air conditioning was barely stronger than a small toy fan from Walmart, the kind that spins when you press a button.
As a result, even with the windows open, both rooms were extremely stuffy and uncomfortable, making it very difficult to sleep. As such, I would avoid this hotel from May-September.
tldr: old hotel, air conditioning broken, super stuffy rooms during the summer
21/05/2026: This place was lovely, the drinks at the bar were reasonably priced, the good was good, not quite as reasonably priced. The breakfast was good although all I got was the bacon and scrambled eggs. The rooms were exactly what you would expect.
