10/01/2026: We spent a few days in Pistoia for the Christmas holidays, and on the evening of January 1st, craving a nice Florentine steak, we stumbled upon this typical trattoria. They offer a fixed-price menu, which I recommend, which includes mixed appetizers, a Florentine steak of a weight appropriate for the number of guests, three side dishes, and a dessert. Drinks are not included. The owner, like the staff, is incredibly welcoming. You can tell they really care about explaining the quality and provenance of the meat. Oh! By the way, aside from appetizers and side dishes: THEY ONLY EAT MEAT! It's a real steakhouse; they don't do first courses, they don't do fish... What a steak, folks! Served on piping hot plates so it doesn't get cold, and cut at the table by the owner himself. The only flaw: they served us French meat. Good, tender, but not the most flavorful. I would have preferred local meat. Anyway, I recommend it. It's worth it.

06/01/2026: This traditional Tuscan restaurant is located on Via Sant'Andrea in Pistoia, in a beautiful medieval building restored with exposed brick and stone. Enjoy fabulous grilled meats and traditional dishes with tasty crostini, excellent cured meats, side dishes, and appetizers, accompanied by a wide selection of white and red wines. The owners, with great professionalism and kindness, recommend these wines, turning a simple dinner into a truly exquisite culinary experience. The restaurant is truly beautiful, meticulously maintained, and fantastic for photographs. Excellent in every way! The food, wines, hospitality, and sophistication. Recommended restaurant!

04/01/2026: Gluten-free PARADISE, with intense yet delicate flavors, a blend of tradition, innovation, and a love of good food. This isn't just a sandwich shop; you'll find wonderful, unique and delicious appetizers, complete dishes, unique desserts, and incredibly delicious pinsas. I wanted to try everything. Everything is gluten-free and lactose-free, and there are tons of vegan and vegetarian options. Heaven! 😍 Thanks to Rosa, her daughter, and all the staff. See you soon!

14/12/2025: We stopped at the "Grazie Rosa" sandwich shop after a tough match: we couldn't have chosen a better way to eat! Incredible sandwiches and a wide selection of gluten-free beers (with an exclusive Christmas version); the lager was also very good. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming: when we return to Prato, we'll definitely know where to go for lunch! ♥️♥️♥️

30/12/2025: We chose this restaurant on a beautiful Sunday in November, inspired by the numerous positive reviews, and I must say we were completely satisfied! We sat in the second room, more modern and welcoming than the entrance, and immediately appreciated the elegant yet unpretentious atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. Pappardelle with wild boar ragù, fried porcini mushrooms, a delicious roasted porcini mushroom cap, and the inevitable steak! A good red wine accompanied it, and a cream-filled millefeuille for dessert. What can I say... it was an absolutely satisfying lunch. We waited a bit for the meat, probably because the place was crowded, but it was absolutely worth it: quality produce, cooked properly, and beautifully presented... Excellent! The pappardelle with wild boar thrilled the kids, and the mushrooms were the icing on the cake of a lunch that simply leaves you wanting more. Considering the quality of the product, the bill seemed fair for what we ordered. Parking might be a bit difficult along the road that runs through this small corner of Nievole; I'd recommend arriving 10 minutes before rush hour. Otherwise, "Il Pellegrino" keeps all its promises and offers customers a totally positive experience! Top marks!

05/01/2026: A spectacular location surrounded by greenery, a place where you can breathe true serenity. The staff is prepared for every eventuality and demonstrates rare professionalism. The restaurant specializes in meat processing, and believe me, given my work, I've been to many similar places, but at Bistecca Amore we were definitely on another level. We had a wonderful time like we haven't had in a long time. I really appreciated the preparation of the staff: they knew exactly what they were offering, avoiding the usual "repetitive tape" and demonstrating a deep knowledge of the product. 11/01/2026: I can't understand how anyone can get out of bed in the morning to go to breakfast in this place!! It's crowded with people, it looks like a school cafeteria... 2/3 dogs inside barking at each other... incredible confusion between screams of people and pets!! Then it says quality bar... but honestly I drank a coffee that was shameful, to say the least, of very poor quality!! More than a high-quality bar/pastry shop, it seems like a cafeteria to me!! There are many better choices in Montecatini.

29/12/2025: I didn't have high expectations when purchasing, but I can say that everything was perfect. The quality was excellent, the gluten-free products were well received, and the delivery was on time. The only downside was that the brigidini arrived very crumbled, and the packaging needs to be reviewed.

03/11/2025: An excellent restaurant in the heart of Pistoia, almost on Piazza della Sala, with a very original and tasteful decor. This is our menu: tortelli filled with Prato mortadella with a parmesan cream, chopped pistachios, and drops of basil reduction, artisanally marinated beef carpaccio with crunchy seasonal vegetables, and dessert.

16/10/2025: The olive oil tour is highly recommended! Incredibly delicious olive oil at a great price, which you'll appreciate even more after a tour where they explain how much time and energy this process takes. David and his wife were incredibly hospitable!

06/10/2025: David and Georgia are the perfect hosts. You can feel at any given moment that they love what they do. Not only is the gorgeous farmhouse located in a beautiful area, but the service both of them provide is excellent. If you get the chance to enjoy the „farm-to-table“ experience, go for it! It is absolutely worth it. If we ever travel back to this area, we will definitely stay with them again!

04/01/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance, passing through on our way back to Rome. We had excellent pizza, light but tasty, with several different varieties. Friendly and courteous service, and not least good prices. I recommend it.

08/12/2025: Great experience! I stopped at this place somewhat by chance on the road. The pizza is excellent: very filling, soft, and yet perfectly crispy.

12/11/2025: The place is great and very close to the Prati hotel, the staff is extremely nice and cheerful. All recommendations to visit, and it's not too expensive

19/10/2025: What an absolute pleasure to dine here. Great pizza (served only after 7pm), as well as great lasagne, paninis, and wine/cocktails. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the setting is friendly and casual. Special mention to the waiter (the bald gentleman), who was exceedingly polite, accommodating, and patient with food and drink orders. Everything we had was delicious. This is a great spot to get a meal, or just stop for a drink (as of October 2025, aperol spritz are only €5!). If you’re in Montecatini for a night or two, this place deserves a stop!

22/10/2025: Profoundly disappointing experience. This is an old-school restaurant with a balanced menu and authentic staff — something I usually appreciate. However, in nearly 11 years of Russia’s war against Ukraine, it’s natural to expect a basic level of sensitivity toward Ukrainians who do not want to be addressed in Russian. Hearing this language is painful — it is associated with blood and death. Despite our polite request not to be spoken to in Russian, the restaurant sent a female staff member who insisted on using it, even delivering a short speech to justify her choice. That response showed a profound lack of empathy and cultural awareness. A place that values hospitality should respect its guests’ boundaries and the tragic reality that defines them. There are plenty of other places in the same price range with better food, service, and atmosphere, where respect and understanding still mean something.
