19/04/2026: I didn't think I'd find a place like this on the Viareggio promenade. The food was excellent, and the staff was very kind, even though it was 4 pm. They welcomed us and fed us delicious food.

02/05/2026: If the goal was to feel ignored, confused, and mocked... mission accomplished. We went to Da Cecco, and the experience was, without exaggeration, one of the worst we've ever had in a restaurant. Not so much for the food, which was overall decent, but for the service management that was embarrassing to say the least. As soon as we arrived, our "welcome" was a glass of wine literally thrown on the table and an already-opened bottle left there, unfilled. No attention, no care. The bread? Forgotten: we had to ask for it ourselves. The wine? Served without any care to keep it chilled. Chaos reigned from the start: wrong orders, waiters arguing among themselves in front of customers, total disorganization. All this with just 15 tables and only two people in the dining room, clearly incapable of managing even such a small situation. Unacceptable wait times: appetizer arrived at 8:00 PM, fried food at 9:30 PM. When asked for clarification, the waitress's response was surreal: "If I go to the kitchen to ask, they'll get angry." A phrase that alone describes the level of service. We had to wait for other tables to finish their first courses to receive our fried food, even though we hadn't ordered any entrees. And when it finally arrived, another disappointment: we had asked for a typical Viareggio fried food with mixed seafood, but were told it wasn't available. We settled for two fried calamari and shrimp dishes... different, one full of vegetables, the other with little fish. The portions were unbalanced and inconsistent. The icing on the cake: the price was different from the menu. The fried food listed at 16 euros was charged 17, with an unclear and decidedly unprofessional justification. No apology, no discount, nothing. In short: you can eat decently, but the treatment you receive and the total lack of organization make this place absolutely inadvisable. It's not just poor service here, but management that borders on disinterest in the customer. Going elsewhere is definitely the best option.

06/04/2026: I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but this time I couldn't help it. It was Easter Monday, the restaurant was packed, and there was a power outage along the entire waterfront: an unfortunate situation, certainly, and not attributable to the restaurant. The problem, however, was how it was handled. The entire outdoor dining area was manned by just two waitresses, and we were, in fact, completely neglected throughout the entire lunch, without any explanation or update. We had ordered a mixed appetizer consisting of four courses: after an hour and a half, only three of them arrived, all cold dishes that didn't even require electricity. After about an hour, we were asked for second courses; I asked for something quick, and after a few minutes, a single plate of paccheri arrived for two to share. The most disappointing thing was the bill: we paid full price for everything, including the incomplete appetizer. It's not so much the emergency itself, which can happen, but the complete lack of attention and care towards customers who, despite everything, pay in full. I left feeling truly disappointed and bitter.

06/04/2026: I never leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, this place gave me one. Easter Monday, lots of tables, and an emergency power outage along the entire promenade. So far, bad luck, but not the restaurant's fault. The problem arises when the entire dining room, manned by just two waitresses, was abandoned for the entire meal, with no apologies or updates. We had ordered a mixed four-course appetizer, and three arrived after an hour and a half (since the food was cold and ready, it didn't require electricity). An hour later, they came asking for second courses. I asked for the quickest option available, and after five minutes, a plate of paccheri arrived for two. Dissatisfied with the emergency management, we went to pay full price for everything, even the appetizer, for which we only received three of the four courses. I'm sorry, but I've never left a place feeling so disappointed and angry. It's not the emergency, but the lack of attention shown by those who pay full price for no attention.

01/05/2026: The best restaurant to never go to again. The pizzas we had were really not good. The first pizza we had was somewhat okay, but it was very hard and dry and didn't have much flavor. The knife could barely cut through it. The second pizza was a kind of grilled cheese sandwich that was also very dry. With the third pizza, the ingredients were not distributed, there were pieces of luncheon meat on it, large chunks of onion, and the taste wasn't good either. We also had a calzone where 5 cm of the edge had nothing on it, just dry dough, and the rest was crammed into 10 cm in the middle. With this, I ate 80% ham and the rest a bit of dough and cheese, but that was it. The pizzas were also burnt around the edges. At the end, extra money was charged for something we don't even know what it was. A plus point is that the person who served us was nice and polite. I have never looked forward so much to the moment the food was finished and we could leave.

28/03/2026: I'm still at the table. Unfortunately, people these days take everything for granted. I ate with a colleague; we're coach drivers. The spaghetti or garlic and oil was good, the Milanese and fries were classic, but what really took me back was the lemon veal cutlet. Simply perfect, just like my grandmother and mother used to make. With a side of a masterpiece of mixed salad, a carefully balanced mix of vegetables, peppers, celery, and fennel... In short, everything was perfect. And then there was him. Odilio. Simple and friendly, just like a host should be. If you're in the area, come visit him. Thanks. Marco

30/05/2026: My mom and I had a great experience here; we always stop by this little place with an adjoining veranda when we're passing through Viareggio. The decor is simple yet functional, the veranda large enough to seat at least twenty people (I saw they also do takeout and delivery), the paper tablecloths, and the menu can be accessed via QR code. From the outside, the place immediately evokes seafood; there's something charming and inviting about it, with reassuring colors. So why not stop by? It's great for lunch, but also for snacks and, if you prefer, aperitifs. Even though the veranda was quite full with people who still needed to be served, the staff were exceptional and quick. We ordered an excellent tuna sandwich and an equally excellent fried fish sandwich. Excellent service, as I said, competitive prices, cleanliness, quality, and the staff are professional. They're very friendly and you can tell they enjoy their work. For us, and certainly for others, it's a must-visit on the Viareggio promenade. We recommend it without hesitation! ;)

05/04/2026: Bagno Viareggio, next to the dock. Easter lunch with a dedicated menu featuring a single appetizer, a choice of three first courses, and two second courses. Small kitchen but a skilled chef. Two appetizers, one first course, one second course, two glasses of wine, and water. A children's menu of pasta with tomato sauce and French fries included €109, considering it was Easter. The food was honest and, above all, everything was delicious. The atmosphere was under construction but discreet, right on the beach. There were a few tables under the veranda, others outside, but overall, it was okay. The excellent food played a major role: the fish steak was truly excellent and a nice, generous plate (in the photo, I had already taken a couple of bites). I tried the red mullet paccheri, which were also delicious.

09/04/2026: High-quality seafood menu. Family-run, but overall the service is quick and the food is always perfect. Don't miss the sublime sea bass ravioli! Prices are quite high, considering it's far from the center of Viareggio. Definitely worth a try!

19/02/2026: My girlfriend and I had lunch today and it was wonderful... Valentina was very kind and attentive to our every need... we took her advice, ate very well and really spent the right amount... everything was perfect...
