08/04/2026: Without further ado, these sandwiches are excellent value for money, even though the prices have increased by a euro or two since last year's photos. The "chef," who I assume is also the owner, knows his job and gives good advice on the compositions. He's kind to kids. Perhaps a bit too much salt—imho—but you can ask for less.

16/02/2026: Everything was great, especially the fish gnocchi, which were truly delicious! A great way to let the kids roam around outside and enjoy a bite to eat in the pine forest under the first rays of spring sunshine. Excellent value. The only downside: the dishes weren't served at the same time, so we had to wait a bit for the other dishes (though it was very crowded and it was the Viareggio Carnival), and even to pay. We'll definitely be back if we ever get back!

24/03/2026: Nice place, lunch to forget. The risotto alla pescatore had no fish at all. The risotto alla pomarola was good, if it had been cooked just right and not undercooked. The pacchero alla trabaccolara (recommended by the waiter), which was seasoned with the same tomato sauce as the rice and cooked for a few minutes longer. The mixed fried seafood was fine, but perhaps the fish was overcooked. The price was expensive for what we ate. But I don't recommend it.

24/03/2026: A sure thing in Viareggio: Quality and Courtesy at Marechiaro 🌊 If you're looking for a place where the flavor of the sea meets the warmth of a home, Bagno Ristorante Marechiaro is a must-see. Even though the restaurant was packed (a sign that its reputation is well-deserved!), the service was impeccable: the staff was fast, organized, and always smiling, which isn't a given when things get hectic. Moving on to the food, the dishes are simply spectacular and the portions truly generous. Here's what I recommend you don't miss: • Seafood Salad: Fresh and masterfully seasoned. I'd say it's simply perfect. • Seafood Carbonara: A true delight for the palate. Creamy, flavorful, and made with quality seafood. • Dessert: We finished on a high note with a homemade apple tart accompanied by vanilla ice cream. A top-notch combination that exudes tradition and attention to detail. In summary: Excellent ingredients, a pleasant atmosphere, and a full belly. I'll definitely be back! Highly recommended 😉

02/12/2025: Very nice and clean rooms. Wonderful location. Breakfast was top-notch. It's a shame that the pool is only indoor and not heated (as we were told over the phone) and therefore unusable in November. The hot tub and spa are very small but nice. The morning of check-out, the cleaning ladies knocked on our door and, upon our "who's there?", came in anyway, finding us changing, which was in terrible taste. Overall, a pleasant stay, but I wouldn't return.

28/03/2026: I'm still at the table. Unfortunately, people these days take everything for granted. I ate with a colleague; we're coach drivers. The spaghetti or garlic and oil was good, the Milanese and fries were classic, but what really took me back was the lemon veal cutlet. Simply perfect, just like my grandmother and mother used to make. With a side of a masterpiece of mixed salad, a carefully balanced mix of vegetables, peppers, celery, and fennel... 06/04/2026: I never leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, this place gave me one. Easter Monday, lots of tables, and an emergency power outage along the entire promenade. So far, bad luck, but not the restaurant's fault. The problem arises when the entire dining room, manned by just two waitresses, was abandoned for the entire meal, with no apologies or updates. We had ordered a mixed four-course appetizer, and three arrived after an hour and a half (since the food was cold and ready, it didn't require electricity). An hour later, they came asking for second courses. I asked for the quickest option available, and after five minutes, a plate of paccheri arrived for two. Dissatisfied with the emergency management, we went to pay full price for everything, even the appetizer, for which we only received three of the four courses. I'm sorry, but I've never left a place feeling so disappointed and angry. It's not the emergency, but the lack of attention shown by those who pay full price for no attention.

The problem, however, was how it was handled. The entire outdoor dining area was manned by just two waitresses, and we were, in fact, completely neglected throughout the entire lunch, without any explanation or update. We had ordered a mixed appetizer consisting of four courses: after an hour and a half, only three of them arrived, all cold dishes that didn't even require electricity. After about an hour, we were asked for second courses; I asked for something quick, and after a few minutes, a single plate of paccheri arrived for two to share. The most disappointing thing was the bill: we paid full price for everything, including the incomplete appetizer. It's not so much the emergency itself, which can happen, but the complete lack of attention and care towards customers who, despite everything, pay in full. I left feeling truly disappointed and bitter.

05/04/2026: Bagno Viareggio, next to the dock. Easter lunch with a dedicated menu featuring a single appetizer, a choice of three first courses, and two second courses. Small kitchen but a skilled chef. Two appetizers, one first course, one second course, two glasses of wine, and water. A children's menu of pasta with tomato sauce and French fries included €109, considering it was Easter. The food was honest and, above all, everything was delicious. The atmosphere was under construction but discreet, right on the beach. There were a few tables under the veranda, others outside, but overall, it was okay. The excellent food played a major role: the fish steak was truly excellent and a nice, generous plate (in the photo, I had already taken a couple of bites). I tried the red mullet paccheri, which were also delicious.
