09/12/2025: Today was the Avo Versilia New Year's Eve celebration. About 50 of us gathered for the New Year's Eve lunch. Odilio is a well-known restaurant in Torre del Lago. The location is clean and not very bright, making it excellent for family lunches, business lunches, or groups of up to 60-70 people. We enjoyed a well-prepared, traditionally prepared fish menu. The prices were moderately low, and the staff was friendly. Everything was fine.

17/11/2025: We waited half an hour to order, and an hour to get our pizzas, since they gave priority to takeout orders! This is unprofessional! The pizza isn't as good as recommended...

17/08/2025: In a summer where everyone complains about beach prices, I found excellent service here at a more than fair price. Well-spaced umbrellas (there were days when we had four lounge chairs under our umbrella and didn't bother our neighbors at all) and free parking for guests, at an unexpected price and with a proper receipt. The managers are kind and honest. Congratulations! We'll be back!

12/08/2025: Excellent beach resort, quiet and without any noise. The restaurant is excellent, with reasonable prices considering you're enjoying a fish dish practically on the beach.

08/09/2025: Dear Hotel Playa Team, We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful stay at your hotel. We particularly enjoyed the location directly by the sea and in the shopping area, which made for a relaxing holiday. The room was always clean, and the food in the hotel restaurant was very delicious. We would especially like to praise the excellent service, from the manager himself to the entire team. We always felt well looked after and were provided with many useful tips for excursions in the surrounding area. The parking in front of the door at a fair price of €8 per day was also very convenient. Overall, we were completely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit to the Hotel Playa. 01/10/2025: I had lunch with my husband and on top of that the waiting times were very long, the food arrived all cold and a little inside the grill on top of the potatoes... we spent a fortune and we didn't even eat well... I will never go back again and I don't even recommend it!!!

02/12/2025: Very nice and clean rooms. Wonderful location. Breakfast was top-notch. It's a shame that the pool is only indoor and not heated (as we were told over the phone) and therefore unusable in November. The hot tub and spa are very small but nice. The morning of check-out, the cleaning ladies knocked on our door and, upon our "who's there?", came in anyway, finding us changing, which was in terrible taste. Overall, a pleasant stay, but I wouldn't return.

30/10/2025: The best 100% gluten-free ice cream shop in Viareggio. They also make custom cakes for birthdays and special events.

23/10/2025: The owner Monia is a very helpful and attentive person and offers the world of celiacs, thanks to her commitment, the opportunity to feel in the right place.

01/01/2026: Stay away and go to the neighbors! Super unfriendly staff... the food was just okay. Never again!!!!

01/01/2026: We received a very unfriendly welcome. My husband was ready to leave. With a groan, as if it were only when necessary, we were shown to our table. The dark-skinned lady was quite sweet, but unfortunately, she didn't speak English. The other two waitresses were incredibly rude. Was it because we were foreigners? She could laugh with the locals, too. The menu was thrown onto the table. Unfortunately, we had already ordered drinks. We were looked at as if we were about to be murdered. The food wasn't great either. I had a pizza. It looked good, but it was watery, soggy, and tasted only of tomatoes. While we were still eating, the plates were simply cleared away. My husband would have liked to have the rest of the fish. I ended up leaving half the pizza. When we paid, we were given more hostile looks. Ah yes, the ambiance. It was just crammed in. We were allowed to sit down at first, but as soon as the drinks arrived, we had to get up and move to a different seat so that even more people could fit into the small space. And all this was done in a rude tone. Extreme xenophobia. Find somewhere else. The waitresses were completely unmotivated, and they were hostile and incredibly rude to foreigners. I can't believe I paid for this. Never again! We should have left right at the beginning.

17/02/2026: It's lovely to sit outside. The cappuccino is good. The price is also reasonable.

08/02/2026: Everyone was very friendly, the food was delicious, especially the seafood lasagna, exquisite and delightful, I highly recommend it 👍👍👍
