23/08/2025: As soon as we arrived, we wanted to linger, but in the end we gorged ourselves on the food: to start, they offered us a house appetizer, which was fried shrimp. Then we ordered the lobster Catalana, and my eyes lit up because it was the best I'd ever tasted, also because the onions had a very light flavor that perfected everything. Next up was the cheese-crusted fillet, which was incredibly tender and the cheese melted on top was an aphrodisiac. When a friend of mine received the octopus carbonara, he let me try it, and I had the idea of ​​taking one of the chefs home with me. At a certain point, the mupa tartare arrived. Then I had the citrus ice cream, and that was when I finally satisfied myself.

26/10/2025: The Pozzillo Tower, without its pistil, is a coastal defense tower that was part of Sicily's coastal tower system. It is located in the "Puzziddu" area, right at the highway junction for the Falcone e Borsellino Airport at Punta Raisi in the province of Palermo, within the municipality of Cinisi. It is state property and is easily accessible, with free access. Construction began in the first half of the 17th century, as it was not surveyed in 1578 by royal architect Tiburzio Spannocchi during his survey. Even at the time of Camillo Camilliani's survey in 1584, it still did not appear to have been built, despite his finding that the cove in front of it could accommodate 25 galleys: "there could fit 25 galleys." In 1625, the tower was not yet completed, although the records of the Deputation of the Kingdom of Sicily already listed its guardians and "torrari." Again from the records of the Deputation of the Kingdom of Sicily, in 1691 we learn that it had been entrusted to the Prince of Carini and that the garrison consisted of three men in total, including the artilleryman. From 1714 to 1717, the same records show that the armament consisted of: 1 bronze cannon with a wheeled carriage; 2 mortars; 6 arquebuses; 1 bronze culverin (known as a "masculo" or "mascolo"); 5 halberds; 28 cannonballs. In 1811, it is mentioned because its garrison was arrested for cowardice in the face of the enemy after failing to intervene to assist an American vessel attacked by pirates. The tower is mentioned in 1823 in the official cartography of the Bourbon army, but under the name of "torre nuova" (new tower). In 1867, it was included in the list of military structures to be decommissioned. It is currently unused and is in fair condition following restoration work beginning in 1970. It somewhat reflects the Camillian style. Today, an opening on the ground floor, located above the former cistern, leads to the first floor, which consists of three rectangular rooms. The largest, the one facing the land, is approximately 8 meters high on the longest side. The vault is barrel-vaulted, as is the custom, and approximately 5 meters high. A fireplace is located on the right wall, and a built-in cupboard on the left. The central wall contains a well that allowed water to be drawn from the cistern below. A stone staircase consisting of two ramps, set into the exterior southeast wall, leads to the roof. The terrace parapet was restored during restoration work in the last century.

18/10/2025: Cracking pizza place. The decor is a little dated but the food is tasty and the price is VERY reasonable. Well worth it.

07/10/2025: When you come to Gratteri this is a must. The pizza is outstanding! The service was friendly and professional. They make you feel comfortable and completely at home. After dinner grab a dessert downstairs with a café. Their Gelato is very good too.

14/10/2025: The appetizers were very good and the atmosphere was lovely. I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the entrees, which were definitely not worth the price.

09/11/2025: I've never received a stinking cuttlefish dish, immediately returned it, specifying the reason, and found it included in the bill for €30.00. I pointed out the lapse in style, with respect to fundamental rules that apply to restaurant relationships, but to no avail. I was met with a wall of arrogance and probably also ignorance regarding the aforementioned rules. I paid, hoping to never encounter such workers rescued from unemployment again.

05/11/2025: We celebrated my daughter's birthday once again. It's enough to mention the reservation: at my first mention, the response was "I'll say yes, call me tomorrow and we'll make the arrangements." Then, on site, as always, the staff were professional and the wait times were more than decent (on a Saturday, for 11 young people and 4 other guests at a separate table). Everyone, from the manager to the staff, was always helpful and pleasant. The atmosphere was pleasant, as always. The pizza was very good and easy to digest, as always. Thank you, and let's leave aside some of the scathing reviews.

19/09/2025: The best food in Sicily, and gluten-free! Delicious gluten-free appetizers, pasta, main courses, and desserts! The chef was friendly and the waiter was super polite, and the restaurant was exceptionally clean. You can see and taste the care and attention they put into the cooking and serving. And the icing on the cake was a truly excellent complimentary red wine on the house! Our vacation isn't over yet, but this might have been the highlight! Grazie mille!

27/07/2025: To say we ate well is an understatement! The food was excellent, high-quality, and beautifully cooked. The portions were generous compared to many other restaurants (after all, what can you expect when the chef is one of Cascino's masters?!). The place was clean and comfortable, not to mention the kindness of the staff and the owner. Highly recommended if you want to eat well and spend a couple of hours immersed in nature.

24/08/2025: Friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism. A historic place in Bagheria, founded by my father and two partners. It's heartwarming to revisit the places of my childhood. Outdoor seating in the summer, and a spacious dining room inside. A quiet and relaxing atmosphere, this is undoubtedly the right choice for those who don't want the chaos of trendy venues. We celebrated a 16th birthday; the table was for seven guests who chose their favorite appetizer, pizza, and soft drink. The cake was brought by us but served at the table by the staff. The bill? A pleasant surprise, more than reasonable. An experience to repeat.

17/08/2025: Super nice place... The staff is friendly but above all professional. We ordered two pizzas and in less than 5 minutes they were on the table, delicious and especially rich in toppings. What can I say!!!! The best in Bagheria... Compliments to the owner, a super kind person.

19/10/2025: Having an apartment nearby for the weekend, we chose Pinturicchio for its convenience. We had a truly wonderful time, with excellent food and very kind staff. A special mention to the young woman who served us; tonight she was silent, absolutely perfect and very friendly. The bill was €40 per person, including a first course, second course, dessert, coffee, and two bottles of Grillo, with complimentary Amaro. Highly recommended.

I hadn't heard of it before yesterday, and I was so impressed by the kindness of the owners and the courtesy and politeness of the entire staff. The pizza was excellent in every way. 18/10/2025: I had a very good risotto. Pleasant, family atmosphere with almost exclusively Palermitan guests. Delightful: relaxed service without any rush. It is not one of the many tourist restaurants, which is very appealing. Here, the food is prepared in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoyed and celebrated at leisure. I felt extremely comfortable here.

16/10/2025: The pizza is one of the best I've ever had, specifically, they use all fresh ingredients including fresh mozzarella, making this Napolian treat delicious.
