26/04/2025: "I had the pleasure of dining with friends at this restaurant and I can say that it was a real spectacle! The soup was delicious and the octopus appetizer was simply divine. The octopus stewed in tomato sauce was tender and tasty, while the fried calamari was crispy and served with spectacular grilled vegetables. But what made the evening even more special was the staff: courteous, professional and highly qualified. Every detail was taken care of and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an unforgettable evening with friends!"

22/04/2025: Very nice, original and refined place. Super recommended, very kind staff, very helpful and professional in explaining the dishes. I ate fish and it was excellent, excellent quality above all expectations. I personally have to compliment the owner who cares about and pampers his customers nonchalantly and without intrusiveness. Extremely satisfied, I highly recommend it, try it for yourself. I'll definitely be back 😋 🤪

18/05/2025: Much better the old management. High price compared to the quality of the product. Small portions especially in the seafood appetizer. In short, I would never recommend it to those who want to enjoy a good seafood binge. The service needs to be reviewed.

16/01/2025: Il ristorante è immerso in una deliziosa pianura, ha un bel giardino intorno e un ampio parcheggio. Ha due belle sale, un menu ricco, le portate sono abbondanti e spesso, quando i camerieri vedono i piatti di portata vuoti al tavolo, chiedono se si vuole ancora quella pietanza.

16/05/2025: The pizza was good but I was a little disappointed, I expected more since it's Italy and pizza.... the best thing they have is the dessert Créme Catalana.

14/05/2025: If you want a pizza/pasta place with typical food and in the heart of Alghero for a good price, this is your place. Really good pizzas at good price and variety in a beautifil narrow street. Would return.

25/05/2025: Gluten free....bello trovare locali dove si può mangiare senza paura delle contaminazioni. Ottima la carne e ancora di più la pizza. Anche i dolci gluten free e lactose free. Sorridenti e accoglienti...come sentirsi a casa.

05/06/2025: Family and friends, if you are afraid of not being full when you come to Sassari for dinner, you can't miss this restaurant. The portion of this pasta is enough for three people. It is large and full, and the taste is also good. The meat is slightly inferior. I still recommend the pasta.

28/04/2025: We dine here frequently since it's in our neighborhood. Food is usually quite good, but the service does NOT match. In today's episode, I ordered the Niçoise Salad (no onions) and it came with onions but without a key ingredient - the eggs. When I asked the server about it he said he didn't know why. He didn't offer to make it right (either bring the eggs, or maybe discount the dish). For dessert, I ordered the brown butter apple cake with "sea salt caramel ice cream". It came to the table with a pink sorbet of some sort. I didn't eat the sorbet and when I asked the server he said "We actually don't have any ice cream today". Well why didn't he say that when I ordered??? He didn't seem bothered by it at all. Again he did not offer to make it right and he charged us full price for the dessert. Similar things have happened in the past and at times we've had to wait incredibly long to order (upwards of 30 minutes before anyone stopped by). One offs are no big deal, however it's happened frequently enough that I felt compelled to write it up today. DO BETTER! We love the food, atmosphere, and supporting a local black-owned restaurant. At least you brought the biscuits back! :)

26/04/2025: The restaurant itself has a nice vibe, however, the service is horrible and needs immediate training. Our server Cohen didn’t know about items in the menu and nor did go find out about the item I ask about. When I ask him what he recommends, he said the lobster roll but he didn’t know what kind of bread the lobster comes on. When we received our subpar food, Cohen didn’t do a two bite , four bite, six bite, or eight bite check back to check to see if we enjoyed our food which WE DIDN'T!!! . As a professional in the industry for more than 20 yrs serving tables and bartending Coen needs coaching on service and he needs a menu test. Also, the branzino was sitting in the juices of the rice dish it accompanied. One side of the fish was seasoned. The other side had o seasoning bc it was washed away by the juices. They should have been served in two separate dishes. When we spoke to him about the concern, he apologized and said there was nothing that could be done. He should have escalated the concern to a manager because that was not a reassuring response. The apple cake was good.

17/05/2025: Impeccable service in every aspect, with great attention to detail that attends the customer throughout the entire stay in the hotel. All the dishes offered are of the highest level with fresh and high quality ingredients. What can I say, this is the typical place in Sardinia that in addition to offering excellent service, gives a warm memory of the territory that welcomes the tourist.

23/05/2025: The menu indicates that frozen products are marked with an asterisk. That's fine, except that everything is marked with an asterisk. You leave without hunger, but without the pleasure of a good meal. Meh!

23/05/2025: A fantastic place to eat, amazing food, good selection of drinks and extremely friendly staff, always made to feel welcome.

07/06/2025: I had dinner there two days in a row, and I'd do it every day. I fell in love ☺️ The pizzas, in my humble opinion, are the best I've ever had. I hope to return. The staff is perfect, very attentive.

21/04/2025: If you are looking for real Italian food, great service and don't want to pay what you pay for the crappy food in the Centro Storico, this is the place to go. Really! None of the trattorias in the centrum of Alghero are as good as Lanterna.

05/05/2025: Locally styled and popular restaurant with reasonable prices, good food, and friendly waiter, who also spoke good English. I had the veal limone for 10€ but many other items on menu. House wine and tiramisu was great too!

10/05/2025: Amazing experience!! The place itself is very nice with nice views, great atmosphere and service. The food is excellent and I had one of the most delicious gluten-free pasta there with Sardinian sausage.

05/05/2025: Stunning place, impeccable service.. unfortunately the pizzas, in addition to not being good (dry and really lacking in toppings), are very expensive!!!!
