13/02/2026: A confirmation of my previous visit a few months ago... in a truly family-friendly atmosphere, excellent and varied zero-mile dishes of excellent quality and above all the discovery of new dishes and flavors unknown to me... the owner Giuseppe, together with his son, daughter, and wife in the kitchen, were so kind and helpful in accommodating us, even with our dog, now forgotten in other restaurants/trattorias... and above all in explaining and suggesting authentic foods and flavors new to my palate... truly recommended....

The pizzas arrive while you're eating your appetizers, and for them everything is normal. The pizzas with hard, inedible dough are sent back, and the annoyed and rude waiter defends the indefensible!! Disgusting as it gets.

23/09/2025: I really don't like leaving negative reviews. In fact I never do (truly I'm not just saying this) because I know the effect they can have an a business. However I think people should get a glimpse of the restaurant before coming here to spend a ton of money for subpar quality food. How can you be a in a region with an absolute surplus of olive oil and have food this bland at exorbiant prices. I don't think there was a grain of salt on any dish. It's also criminal to call an appetizer red prawns then get 4 pieces of the tail of a prawn that is barely bigger than a finger nail. I would have also rather been spared the "mixed greens" under my octopus as it was just that. Mixed green with nothing on them and majority of the leaves were rotten. Also a lobster pasta dish in which it requires you to crack your own lobster with your hands? Trying to make food into something "artistic" is the downfall of dining. Put something on the late that is worth eating and priced fairly. 45 minutes between starters and mains is a no for me as well. Rest assured this is an honest review....sadly

14/09/2025: We had the great pleasure of dining at La Rillo—and it was a truly exceptional experience. The food was excellent, carefully prepared and full of authentic flavors. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and thoughtful, making us feel welcome from the start. The ambiance also won us over: the small restaurant is tastefully decorated and creates a very welcoming atmosphere, where you immediately feel at ease and can enjoy your meal in complete relaxation. For us, it was one of the best dining experiences we've had in Puglia so far—highly recommended!

Excellent cuisine with unique and beautifully presented dishes; we particularly enjoyed the bombette. Excellent service. I recommend booking, especially in high season.

16/02/2026: We chose this trattoria to spend Valentine's Day with a group of friends, and I must say it's a beautiful and delicious trattoria in the center of town. It's tastefully decorated, the service excellent, and the menu is very inviting, offering a wide variety of unique dishes from our Salento cuisine, revisited and beautifully presented. Above all, we tried the various appetizers, from the excellent cheese platter to the vegetables and typical dishes cooked according to Salento culinary traditions, including delicious "pittule Salentine," homemade potato croquettes, special fried meatballs, and delicious first and second courses—all of which allowed us to sample a variety of delicacies. I must say that all the dishes we chose were of excellent quality, both in terms of the use of high-quality and fresh ingredients, the excellent selection of wines, and finally, a delicious dessert. A key aspect of this trattoria is that the kitchen is on the first floor, thus separate from the lunch and dinner area. This ensures that the downstairs dining room, where service takes place, is clean and free of kitchen odors. Therefore, you can leave after lunch or dinner without getting your clothes smelly. This is a key aspect of this place. I highly recommend it.

14/02/2026: I visited this restaurant on Valentine's Day, my first time there with my partner, and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. As soon as you enter, you immediately sense the care and attention dedicated to the restaurant: the setting is elegant, well-designed, and every detail appears meticulously considered, contributing to a welcoming and refined atmosphere. The quality of the food was truly excellent. The raw seafood was incredibly fresh and prepared with great care. The first courses were plentiful and very tasty, satisfying in both quality and quantity. Even the homemade bread was truly delicious and much appreciated; it was also carefully brought back whenever the waiter noticed it was running low, a detail that demonstrates the care they give to their customers. The desserts, strictly homemade, were also exquisite and rounded off the dinner perfectly. Overall, it was an extremely positive experience, and we will definitely be back. The only small negative is the proximity of the tables, which at times slightly reduces privacy.

29/11/2025: First experience. Truly VERY POSITIVE! It's a shame they can only give it 5 stars... actually, it deserves 10! Beautiful location, beautifully maintained outdoor spaces, well-structured and welcoming interior, exquisite house appetizer (mozzarella knots, peperonata, seafood salad, mixed fried foods, battered vegetables, parmigiana, and excellent sliced ​​bread). Orecchiette with mushrooms and seafood scialatielli were truly rich in flavor (and seasoning!). Excellent mixed roast. Tarts with a warm chocolate center, truffle, and lemon ice cream: EXCELLENT! 🤤 The staff was truly sooooo kind and knowledgeable. Kudos to the chef, who truly delighted us with his dishes, rich in flavor and taste! 😋 This will be one of the places I will absolutely recommend to all my customers 🙂 Aromas and flavors 💯

04/01/2026: We had a very good lunch: paccheri with lobster, fried fish, mixed fried fish, and linguine with squid ink. I recommend booking and getting a table in the corner, so you have a beautiful view of the sea. 🌊 The staff was very friendly and happy, even though the place was full. In the summer, with the veranda open, I imagine it would be spectacular (we were there in January). Compliments to all the staff. 👍

31/12/2025: We arrived at this restaurant after a fantastic winter hike in the "palude de capitane," attracted by its strategic location directly on the beach. The location is indeed beautiful, and the dining room is completely glassed-in, offering a pleasant and relaxing view. The staff is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations, perhaps because it's out of season. The shrimp rice was overcooked, and the octopus alla piñata seemed reheated. Wine by the glass wasn't available, but that, too, may be because it's out of season. The price was reasonable. Perhaps we could try again in a more favorable season...

03/11/2025: La Pergola Restaurant was a real surprise during our stroll through Santa Maria al Bagno. It's centrally located, right on the village square, overlooking the sea. The highlight is undoubtedly the cuisine, which proved to be excellent. You can taste the freshness and quality of the fish, the true star of the menu. 02/03/2026: I appreciated that despite it being winter, the place was open. The window displays were sad and decrepit, probably looted by previous customers. I thought the prices were a bit high, the place had a lovely view, and the stars were all for the lady who served the tables, who was always present, knowledgeable, and very polite.
