24/08/2025: A small restaurant in the heart of the city where I return often. The cuisine is impeccable, with exceptional ravioli and risotto. The tiella barese is expertly prepared. Fish and meats are perfectly cooked and paired with classic sauces with an original twist. The staff is always helpful and attentive. Highly recommended.

23/08/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance... It was a pleasant discovery... The staff is truly kind and extremely knowledgeable... The dishes are not only beautiful, but also extremely good... truly high quality... Among other things, I ate the grilled fish, which was nothing short of spectacular. Congratulations to everyone.

24/08/2025: We've been wanting to go to Al Vecchio Forno for a while, and we finally made it during our short stay in Barletta. The location is elegant and welcoming. The entire staff was professional and friendly. We had one appetizer and two main courses, both very good and high-quality. The homemade desserts were also fabulous. We'll be back soon.

23/08/2025: Are you allergic? Don't go! At dinner with friends, we chose the house mixed appetizers and declared one of us to be allergic to nuts. The waiter, after going to the kitchen to inquire, returned and said, "All appetizers do NOT contain nuts." Unfortunately, however, as we ate, we realized the tuna had a sauce with nuts! We decided to leave immediately to monitor our allergic friend who had eaten the dish and to have easy access to emergency services if necessary. From then on, we realized the waiters didn't even know the difference between an intolerance and an allergy. The owner didn't even apologize, and when pressed, simply said "human error" and gave us the bill. Unfortunately, this was an unacceptable mistake that, if we hadn't had an antihistamine on hand and a lot of luck, could have cost us our lives. The superficiality with which something like this was handled leaves us truly bitter and frightened. We hope this report will be helpful in the future. Please be careful!

02/06/2025: Ristorante consigliato dal proprietario del b&b dove abbiamo soggiormato. Locale grazioso,in centro,personale dinamico,buonissimi i paccheri al nero di seppia con burrata,pesto di pistacchi,i panciotti di pasta fresca,con le melanzane,ottimo il fritto di pesce, il calamaro con peperone bruciato,favolosi i dessert,croccante morbido con caprino sardo e cioccolato fondente,il cannolo scomposto.... Buono il vino rosato della casa,i taralli e i cracker fatti da loro. Bravi! Da consigliare sicuramente

26/03/2025: In my humble opinion, it's not a location I would choose for a family party. The food is tasty, but not of the highest quality. The appetizers in the center are something I don't like. The centerpieces are small plates and chips, which are more flavorful than anything I've ever seen before.

25/03/2025: Perfect location for any type of event special owners super food in terms of quality and quantity, especially fresh and when it comes to the sea you can immediately feel the difference, trained staff, welcoming and always available I can't wait to return perhaps for a lunch or dinner with friends to celebrate. Highly recommended to try

07/09/2025: It was our first evening in Barletta and we chose to dine here: it was a truly memorable experience. Even though we were seated inside with our dog, we were greeted with great kindness and friendliness by the entire staff. Over the next few days, we tried other restaurants, both in Barletta and in other cities in Puglia, but nothing was up to par. We even returned for dinner again, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to a bereavement (our sincere condolences). I still wanted to write this review to let you know that you are truly amazing; keep up the good work!

06/09/2025: We went for lunch on a Saturday, and the restaurant was fully booked. Reservations are recommended. The quality/price ratio was good, and the portions were a pleasant surprise. I would have served the raw ham a little colder, perhaps adding a bit of ice, and the peppered ham was a little too salty, but we liked it that way. In short, 1 raw seafood dish + 1 peppered ham + 1 fantastic sea urchin dish + 2 seafood first courses + 1 fried fish dish, and a bottle of wine with sorbet and coffee came to €60 per person. A very fair price, in line with the quality and quantity of the dishes. WELL DONE!

My heartfelt thanks to Chef Antonio, who delivered the best of himself with the dishes I ordered: trofie with creamed zucchini, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, and grated lemon—exceptional. The sliced ​​beef entrecote with salad, cherry tomatoes, arugula, and parmesan was superb!

22/02/2025: Barletta, February 21, 2025 – Last Friday, former students of Section B of the Barletta State Industrial Technical Institute, who attended the school between 1976 and 1981, gathered for a reunion. This brought together 17 former classmates, now adults, with diverse backgrounds and life paths, yet united by a common thread: youthful memories and shared experiences at school. The event, organized with great enthusiasm by a group of former students, took place at the restaurant "Il fornaio dei mulini vecchi," a place where the dinner was wonderful, and I extend my heartfelt thanks for their hospitality and splendid organization. Everyone who attended was delighted and visibly appreciative. This contributed to creating a magical atmosphere, already charged with emotion, with warm hugs and smiles lighting up the faces of those who hadn't seen each other for decades.

04/08/2025: Una serata perfetta, tra sapori autentici e ospitalità impeccabile! Siamo stati in questo locale e ne siamo usciti davvero entusiasti. Abbiamo assaggiato la paella, che è stata davvero squisita e deliziosa la consiglio a tutti,le pizze e una selezione di antipasti: tutto semplicemente delizioso! La paella era ricca, ben condita e saporita al punto giusto, le pizze cotte alla perfezione con ingredienti freschissimi, e gli antipasti… uno più buono dell’altro, curati nei dettagli e abbondanti. Un altro punto forte è sicuramente il personale, gentile, sorridente e attento senza mai essere invadente. Si respira un’atmosfera accogliente e rilassata, che rende l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Un posto che consiglio assolutamente, sia per una cena tra amici che per un’occasione speciale. Torneremo sicuramente!

28/07/2025: Sono andata qualche giorno fa al Cucu con dei miei amici. Sono stata molto soddisfatta. Io ho preso un panino con il polpo fritto: davvero ottimo,morbido d grande, buona anche la salsa presente sul panino, abbiamo preso anche dei fritti e mi sono piaciuti e la Carlo V che io ho amato. Sicuramente tornerò! Molto simpatica anche Rossella e sua sorella, che quella sera ci ha serviti.
