05/03/2026: The worst service in this beautiful city. The waitress was rude and unpleasant, and we refused to eat.

01/03/2026: The starter was fine, but that’s where it ended. The main course was completely bland and tasteless, and there was even a hair in my food. On top of that, people who came after us got their meals before we did. For the price they’re charging, this was absolutely not worth it. Totally disappointing.

28/02/2026: I'm giving one star, and I'm being overly generous. I ordered two takeout pizzas this evening: Capricciosa and prosciutto crudo, arugula, and parmesan. The dough and toppings left much to be desired... and I'll stop there. Bill: 20 euros Terrible value for money. I definitely won't be returning. Not recommended.

03/02/2026: Family-run and well-located. Outdoor seating. Interesting dishes made with quality ingredients. Local cured meats and cheeses. Tasty first courses and perfectly cooked meats. In short, a restaurant to recommend.

06/01/2026: The pizza is excellent. The service leaves much to be desired. The chairs need to be cleaned before customers arrive!

The waffles we ordered were disappointing: they tasted like packaged products rather than freshly prepared, and they were cold and unpleasant. Particularly unpleasant was finding traces of lipstick on one of the glasses, a sign of improper cleaning. We only noticed this after drinking, and at that point, we didn't feel it was necessary to report it to the staff. Given these experiences, I'm unlikely to return to this establishment, even though the ambiance is very refined and initially suggested a much higher level of quality.

01/01/2026: I was there today, January 1, 2026. I don't want to comment on the food. (Not good.) The service (now I'll tell you about my experience and that of the table next to us). We asked for a second dish (the only decent one we could eat) several times and no one paid attention to us. However, at some tables at the back of the room, they brought us double the dish for everyone, because you could see they were friends. At a certain point, we asked for it and pointed out that at some tables they had double dishes and we were told that that dish was sold out. My daughter had the children's menu and for the entire service she was given a slice of cooked ham and a mozzarella. So I wonder. These things happen all the time, only in the South. If you know people, you eat well, otherwise they treat you like a number. The only special mention goes to the waiter Stefano: good, attentive, and very good. We won't be returning.

15/11/2025: Quite welcoming, I was there in the evening, very nice... I wasn't impressed by the menu, but you know... the birthday boy or girl chooses what they eat... and they can't satisfy everyone's tastes. I would gladly return...

20/09/2025: Beautiful scenery, ditto the sea. There's no sand, just river sand. Nice structure, but very dated!

12/09/2025: Really dirty beach came here and it’s closed. Might be permanently closed not sure Not sure. I could recommend this place. Trash all over the place it’s like they don’t care about the environment.

11/11/2025: Stopped by chance for lunch on a Sunday. The place is old and could use some updating. The pizza was thin and rather dry for my taste. The presentation was also very sad. The girls serving were very good and quick.

13/10/2025: A friendly, rustic place, perfect for Monday nights when everything is closed.

05/09/2025: A one-night stay. Consisting of two buildings. Small rooms. Dilapidated furniture. The bathroom has a folding door that won't close. Traditional breakfasts: cheese, ham, cottage cheese, croissants, something sweet. Instant coffee.

22/11/2025: A nice place with a wide selection of drinks and great weekend entertainment, but I honestly don't understand how you manage to have (and yes, I'll mention her full name so it's known) Antonella Goffredo as your waitress. She's a totally immature girl who allows herself to judge customers, regardless of the fact that you have to have good manners and, above all, be a good talker. I won't write about the conversation I had with her because I don't stoop to her level, but she's awful, she's rotten inside and it shows even in the workplace. In my opinion, she should be fired!

01/02/2026: Classic farmhouse, fixed menu lunch, good, but nothing special or homely considering a Sunday lunch, kind and helpful staff, good for a Sunday out of town, even for children

01/11/2025: - Terrible service (ask for drinks or missing dishes on the table and they ignore you) - Poor and low-quality food - Dark, "rustic" but poorly maintained interior. Nothing more needs to be said.

12/07/2025: A wonderful evening, 16 people were served, excellent service, fast and friendly... delicious pizza! Highly recommended.

22/05/2025: Excellent pizza, incredibly delicate dough, cooking and leavening of the dough worthy of more than 5 stars, exceptional toppings and raw ingredients, helpful and friendly staff, clean and welcoming environment, well done guys, keep it up, if I'm passing through Trani you will definitely be a must-stop.

10/11/2025: Love this place. I have spent 9 weeks here in Lecce working, and this restaurant has the best eggplant parmagiana. I keep coming back. They also have a very friendly staff

30/10/2025: Visiting beautiful Lecce with a big appetite, here at Osteria il Poeta Contadino we were very satisfied and satisfied with very good and tasty food with a pleasant view of the small Piazza Sigismondo. The staff were kind and attentive. Thank you.
