21/09/2025: DonPollo: A place I've been wanting to visit for a while, and I finally did for a quick lunch. Let me start by saying that the place is well-maintained, organized, and clean. It's divided into an indoor and outdoor dining area. At the entrance, there's a counter where the various dishes are laid out, which you can order at the counter or sit down and order. I ordered the roast chicken, since the place is called DONPOLLO, with high expectations. A total disappointment: the rosemary chicken I ordered was stringy and lacking in flavor, and paying €7 for half a chicken (about 300 grams) that tastes like nothing is a bitter disappointment. That said, my colleague also found the burger tasteless. The service was excellent, fast, and courteous. I don't think I'll be back.

05/09/2025: A one-night stay. Consisting of two buildings. Small rooms. Dilapidated furniture. The bathroom has a folding door that won't close. Traditional breakfasts: cheese, ham, cottage cheese, croissants, something sweet. Instant coffee.

17/08/2025: Being on vacation at the beach in Trani, I ordered pizza from here in 2 evenings. A big and tasty pizza. I gave 4 stars because of the delivery time, because I waited more than 2 hours for it to be brought to the place of accommodation. For taste and quality, I recommend it, but it is probably better to go to the restaurant, than to order it at home.

The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, perfect for both an intimate dinner and a night out with friends. The service is impeccable: the staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive to the customer's needs, without ever being intrusive. The price is absolutely in line with the quality offered: at around €25-30 per person, you'll leave completely satisfied, both in terms of taste and the overall experience. For five people, we ate well, but we ordered the focaccia for three people, and a half for two only arrived, so one person. Plus, the octopus we were supposed to order was sold out, four shrimp, and the cuttlefish cut in half was ugly. Plus, the fried food isn't €12, but €16. No one had warned us that something wasn't right. We definitely won't be returning.

16/08/2025: The place is truly beautiful and welcoming, with a splendid and well-maintained pool that makes the stay very pleasant. The staff's hospitality was impeccable: always kind, helpful, and attentive to guests' needs. Breakfast was also a positive note: varied and very good, served with courtesy and attention. The rooms, while very beautiful, could use some maintenance. The bathroom in particular, with a bathtub that leaked a lot due to a loose curtain, showed signs of limescale and imperfect finishes. General cleanliness could also be more thorough, with some visible dust. Furthermore, the annex outside the room, while charming, was difficult to use due to the lack of a table and chairs. Overall, the stay was pleasant, but the price seems a bit high for the quality of maintenance and overall guest experience. With a few more improvements, it could truly be a perfect experience.

19/10/2025: I'm not rating him lower just out of respect for one of the two owners, who apologized to us and made amends. There are many things to review. This should be a reason to improve.

12/10/2025: I went on a Saturday night for pizza with family. The atmosphere is nice, and parking was easy. When we entered, the waitresses sat us at our reserved table. They handed us menus, and after a while, a waitress asked if we were ready to order. We were ready, and then she disappeared. After a while, another waitress came to take our orders. We ordered three plates of fries, and after a twenty-minute wait, two plates arrived first, followed by the last one. They made up for the pizza and were quite quick. The menu isn't very extensive: only a few pizzas, and the prices are decidedly high: a Margherita is €6, all other pizzas start at €10. As we were finishing our meal, from the exchanges between the owner and the waitresses (in a manner bordering on polite), we realized we needed to vacate the table, and as soon as we'd finished, we asked for the bill and went to pay. I won't be going back! The pizza isn't the best, either; there are better.

14/10/2025: We visited this restaurant on August 7, 2025, at 1:35 PM. I'll start by saying it was a particularly hot day. The restaurant looks good, but the staff could be a little more attentive to the few customers who were there for lunch. I can say that what we ordered and received was, in our opinion, delicious. The white wine was very chilled and delicious, as was the nicely chilled water. The fresh mussels were tasty, and the sandwich was also very good. I can only compliment them. If we're in the area again on our next vacation, we'll definitely be back.

04/10/2025: I give it 5 stars for their desire to offer something beyond local cuisine, but I recommend serving the tagliolini with truffle without cream, but simply with butter, with truffle shavings and not grated, as the recipe calls for... Unfortunately, cream kills everything.

The quality of the dishes is excellent: ultra-fresh ingredients and flavorful preparations that highlight the natural flavors of the sea. The staff is welcoming and very professional, always attentive to every request. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a dinner with friends or a special occasion. I highly recommend trying their mixed antipasto and seafood risotto, simply divine. A place I will definitely return to!

07/10/2025: The only strong point of this place is its location, but not the rest. A man who I believe is the owner was smoking a cigarette inside the restaurant (health and hygiene regulations need to be reviewed). The food was cooked without love or respect for the fish and the city. The worst thing is that for POS payment, he charged an extra euro in commission for each customer. I feel sorry for such a long-established restaurant in such a beautiful city. You could have done better!
