04/09/2025: First of all, we have to thank Mirco the tobacconist for recommending this place to us, even calling to ask if they had room for two people and our four-legged friend. Kindness is disappearing everywhere these days, but not in San Michele. Fortunato is the host—I say "host" because as soon as you walk in, you feel like you're at home. The seafood menu is impeccably prepared, the extensive menu makes you smile with every course, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is incredibly kind. I thank Fortunato again, and as I told him, we were the lucky ones. A heartfelt thank you to him and all the staff for a wonderful and enjoyable evening. Thank you, and see you next time.

23/07/2025: Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel e mangiato al ristorante. Cibo di ottima qualità. Fritto misto, leggero e croccante, caciocavallo, orecchiette, pepata di cozze, tutto buonissimo. Personale gentilissimo, ragazzi giovani con tanta voglia di fare. Maurizio, molto preparato sempre pronto a dare spiegazioni ed accontentare le richieste anche non presenti in menù, Michelangelo, ragazzo educato e attento nel prestare un ottimo servizio. 22/09/2025: I've been to this pizzeria a couple of times. Both times we ordered pizzas and dessert. The pizzas were very good, and the speed with which we were served was excellent (especially considering it was September, so it wasn't very crowded). I was pleasantly surprised that, when ordering desserts, a food allergy was mentioned, and we were promptly informed of the ingredients to find the safest option. The cheesecake was excellent, and the tiramisu was a bit overdone, but good. The location, in my opinion, is very popular, right in front of the stadium and in a very quiet area. We were very satisfied with the evening!

02/11/2025: A friend and I ordered two Cosmopolitan cocktails, but they served us glasses that tasted only of bitters and gin. The taste was truly undrinkable, so much so that we couldn't drink them. Sadly, seven euros wasted.

13/09/2025: This place was recommended to me and I left disappointed. Octopus was cold and covered with beetroot and some sort of pesto. Waiter chew his chewing gum loudly and had his mobile in a pocket with a match on or something like that. (Loud) Ah, so many nice places around. I will not be back any time soon.

15/10/2025: I'm calling because I'd like to celebrate my birthday here with about fifteen friends. I'd like to come around 10:00 PM for a round of drinks, some snacks, and to open the cake (I should point out that the place only allows sitting down after dinner for a drink). The owner tells me that for birthday parties, they usually accept a maximum of eight people, so the only way would be to split us into two or three tables. Unconvinced, and needing to think about it, I don't book right away. I call back and decide to book despite the separate tables, because I frequent the place often and find it unique and (I was wrong) welcoming. But here's where the problems begin: the owner asks me to limit the number of friends, since he rightly believes I shouldn't celebrate with whoever I want because he can't push two tables together. But let's move on to the restrictions: "It's best not to bring a cake that needs to be refrigerated, because we don't have space," "if you come at 10 pm, you have to leave at midnight because we're closing," and last but not least, the gem: "we can't keep your table free until 10 pm, so if you arrive and there are people still sitting, you'll have to wait until they're free. We'll do whatever we can, but try to keep your friends busy." A little confused, I confirm the reservation, but over the next day, I realize how arrogant and unprofessional the owner has been, so I call to cancel and am met with a slammed down phone, accusing me of being rude because I should have called earlier. I should point out that it's impossible to contact the restaurant before 5:30 pm because it's closed and the phone is off, and my call came in around 6 pm, just half an hour after it opened. Before I get hung up on him, I try to point out to the gentleman that I hadn't compromised his reservations in any way, because he himself had reiterated several times, just the day before, that he would NOT keep my table free. In a word: TERRIBLE!!! You've lost a loyal customer...

08/09/2025: Very good food and excellent quality, excellent value for money, clean and comfortable interior, and in the summer, the outdoor seating area under the pine trees is very charming and pretty. Service is fairly quick, although sometimes people arrive at the same time, making the service unmanageable. Overall, it's good. A customer for years and years, always satisfied.

25/08/2025: In August, a half-empty restaurant is already a red flag, and indeed... soggy fried food, cold and even rude staff, a far cry from the Salento hospitality I've experienced in recent days. I won't comment on the shrimp: they certainly weren't fresh, and making fun of us is even offensive. Let's draw a veil over the bill. The truth? The idiot in this story is me: I'd read the reviews and, being a true masochist, I decided to try it anyway. A mistake I won't make again.
