10/09/2025: We dined at Ristorante Unione, one of the most sought-after spots during our stay in Alagna, choosing their exquisite Raclette, available by reservation only. The dish was accompanied by a good selection of pickles, cured meats (including their own carne salada), taragna polenta, and new potatoes with their skins on. The traditional atmosphere was filled with Alagna memorabilia and history, and the service was friendly. Delicious cheese, generous portions, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be returning.
24/08/2025: FOOD: Very good. The selection includes typical local dishes. The "raviolette alagnesi" were spectacular. The tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms was very tasty. The cheesecake was one of the best I've ever tasted. There are vegetarian options on the menu.
SERVICE: Everyone was very friendly. We had two children, and they even set the table for them.

We just had lunch here, but it was great. Good soup and a very nice cheese/meat platter.
13/09/2025: The Barba Ferrero Refuge was a pleasant surprise, especially from its manager.
A helpfulness and kindness I've never encountered in the many refuges I've visited. We only stopped for lunch, but next time we'll try to stay a night. Highly recommended.

01/08/2025: Tried it a few days ago: very good pizza, crispy, well-topped, and light. Currently the best in Alta Valsesia. Impeccable service, so I'm surprised to read reviews that say the opposite. Beautiful location, tastefully and thoughtfully decorated.
30/07/2025: During my short vacation in the area, I ordered takeout pizzas twice because we found them very good: thin and crispy,
just the right amount of pizza, well-topped, and with excellent service. The owner of the place is very friendly and welcoming, and I extend my sincere compliments.

02/08/2025: MAYBE THERE ARE SOME THINGS TO REVIEW
We stayed at the Mira and decided to stop for dinner at this restaurant. When we booked, they didn't inform us that the kitchen would close at 9:00 PM (they gave us a table at 8:30 PM), nor did they inform us that dogs are not allowed. Instead, they exulted upon our arrival, saying, "Since we can't choose our guests, at least let us choose our pets."
€50 per person for tagliatelle and cabbage rolls of average quality is perhaps a bit excessive.
UNREQUIRED BUT NECESSARY ADVICE:
- Improve communication, especially from the owner or manager.
- If you give a table at 8:30 PM and the kitchen closes at 9:00 PM, don't pressure guests to choose their dessert with the main course. Don't give them a table, so you and your guests will be more relaxed.

Il menù oltre ai classici piatti tipici offre interessanti digressioni. Personale cortese e premuroso. Veramente gustoso il riso secondo una ricetta nepalese, eccellente l'hummus con verdure saltate. Buona e abbondate la trota al timo e fantastico il dolce millenium. Prezzo corretto. Bravi !

Il personale è stato molto gentile e cortese. Le focacce erano semplici ma buone. Locale carino con uno spazio esterno molto piacevole e adattato anche all’inverno.

01/10/2024: Locale molto accogliente, personale gentile, servizio veloce, prezzi giusti (ma i dolci troppo cari). Abbiamo mangiato polenta concia che non ci ha convinto del tutto. Molto apprezzata la brocca d'acqua portata appena seduti. Bravi.

Un posto da favola , come piace a me , piccolo accogliente a conduzione famigliare .. ottima la polenta concia e molto accurato l antipasto con prodotti di ottima qualità . Personale molto gentile . Consigliato a chi cerca posti piccoli e accoglienti . Bella la passeggiata che dal paese ti porta in questo piccolo borghetto . Qualità prezzo ok . Famiglia Fumagalli

22/02/2025: An hour of waiting between the time we ordered and the time our three plates (soup, pasta and risotto) arrived. Fortunately we didn't wait for our cutlery to be brought to us and we went and helped ourselves. Perhaps the team was particularly small that day.
