15/08/2025: I had the pleasure of staying at this splendid inn nestled in pristine nature. The peace here is unique: even while lounging by the pool, you might spot wild rabbits scurrying around, reminding you that you're staying in an authentic and special place. The service is impeccable: the staff are extremely kind, helpful, and attentive to your every need, making you feel pampered without ever being intrusive. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit: all the tables are outdoors, perfect for enjoying the fresh air and the view, and the dishes are rich, carefully prepared, and made with quality ingredients. A place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking relaxation, nature, and a genuine welcome. I'll definitely be back!

10/08/2025: I'll talk about the restaurant since I wasn't a guest at the hotel. The place is always wonderful and welcoming, with a relaxing and peaceful view of the Gavi hills. I appreciated the choice of dining on the outdoor veranda, with a round table that I always find comfortable and elegant. The service was excellent, prompt and professional. The welcome entree was pleasant and always well received. The appetizers weren't overly bold, but tasted good and delicate, but the fried zucchini flowers were lacking something. My wife was disappointed with her marinated trout; perhaps her expectations were too high. I found the risotto with peppers, shrimp, and olives delicious and surprisingly generous. I finished the meal with a tasting of local cheeses, which I know very well and always appreciate. They excel at pairing flowers and mixed greens with the usual jams and honey. I would have greatly appreciated a little more attention to the wine pairings, although the sommelier seemed attentive and knowledgeable. The desserts ordered by other diners didn't seem up to par, even according to their own comments. Overall, a good dinner, but not exceptional. The lightness and use of almost all local ingredients were certainly appreciated. Final cost €340 (4 people and 2 bottles of wine)

14/07/2025: The food is good, almost cheaply priced for the quality of it, and the location is great Due to the inclement weather we sat inside in a finely decorated room with frescoes on the ceiling, but they also somehow have a lovely and big courtyard (in the middle of the town, I'd never would've expected that) But what really sets this place apart from the five hundred other restaurants in Gavi is the service We got there dressed like hobos as we planned to go trekking before rain changed our plans They still welcomed us like we were the royal family (in shorts and a tye dye shirt) Our waiter helped us choosing the wine, nailed it well out of the park, and changed the already fine standard red glasses for large Bordeaux glasses more appropriate for our wine Never seen this kind of service for a 30ish € bottle The waiters were never hovering over us, yet somehow had the almost uncanny ability to show themselves whenever we needed them well before we turned around to call for them The timing of the courses was the best I've seen so far: usually the next dish would be on our table the exact moment I'd think "I'm ready for the next one" We took our sweet time eating so we were the last couple at the restaurant Instead of being stroppy with us (which would have been justified honestly) they took us for a tour of the place and their lovely cantina I really cannot recommend this place enough, well thought dishes, fresh, often homegrown ingredients, and a service that gives new nuances to the meaning of the word "waiter"

13/05/2025: I am back home in California remembering our visit from May 2024. I absolutely love Gavi and have been there twice in the past 3 years.We dined at Cantine Del Gavi celebrating my sons birthday and mothers day. It was such a memorable experience and I realized I forgot to do a review with all the traveling we did in Italy last year. The service was phenomenal, food was outstanding and perfect wine was recommended. The staff and experience provided made a lasting impression on my son his fiancé and I. What a gem in such a charming and beautiful village. It is a lovely and beautiful ristorante and the food incredible. Grazie to the staff for a lasting memory.

09/08/2025: Very good restaurant, the dishes are quality. The products are excellent. The service provided by the great Marlo is exceptional, a very professional server. I highly recommend it.

28/06/2025: Apparently nice environment without pretensions. Unfortunately, late June day, scorching heat and restaurant without air conditioning, not even blades to move the air a bit, choice of the restaurateur rather questionable considering that you sweat for lunch!! Decent appetizer, good bread, normal cheese platter, average first courses, pity that the octopus ordered was truly inedible. Salty, unpleasant smell and very questionable consistency. In their favor that they did not include the four second courses of octopus in the bill. Expense, excluding the second courses, two first courses, two appetizers, a bottle of their own white wine, four sorbets, three coffees and two bottles of water €130. So the average of 30/40 is to be considered only first course or only appetizer I would not go back obviously.

28/04/2025: Trattoria storica, ci andavamo anche da piccoli con i genitori. Si mangia molto bene. Cucina del territorio. Ambiente semplice ma tenuto bene e atmosfera bella. Personale gentile, ottimi piatti e vini. Parcheggio davanti al ristorante. Bel posto tra i vigneti di Rovereto di Gavi

30/03/2025: Qui c'è la tradizione del raviolo di Gavi: la bella località dove questa prelibatezza è nata grazie alla famiglia Raviolo. Il ravioli di Gavi sono in assoluto i migliori del mondo e quelli di questa storica Trattoria secondo me sono i migliori fra quelli di Gavi, quindi... onore al merito! Ottimi tutti gli altri piatti, ambiente piacevole, servizio e rapporto qualità prezzo adeguati. Super consigliato.
