28/06/2025: To start -The English menu was awkwardly worded with many grammatical errors -The ‘risotto’ if we can even call it that was rank: I was hoping to taste the horseradish and have half a dozen shrimp : like their website picture -one shrimp cut into quarters , vinegar added : ‘ to counteract the horseradish taste ‘ ?!? SWIMMING in a weird broth NOT RISOTTO- CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE- it was topped with a weird white foam that resembled what my dog brings up when he is finished vomiting - so much vinegar added - inedible - was also hoping for an outside seat with a view - even with a reservation put into a corner of their past barn : the servers were kind and was offered a bottle of ‘condolences’: - still paid for the risotto though - they should stick to making wine -

11/06/2025: A very beautiful place with an incredible view of the sunset over the valley. But the main highlight is the food, of course - everything is done just right. The risotto carrots shrimp is delicious, and the roasted tongue from the first courses is excellent. Local wines from the winery pair perfectly with all dishes. Great service. Definitely worth coming back, and more than once. Be sure to book a table in advance!

13/05/2025: I am back home in California remembering our visit from May 2024. I absolutely love Gavi and have been there twice in the past 3 years.We dined at Cantine Del Gavi celebrating my sons birthday and mothers day. It was such a memorable experience and I realized I forgot to do a review with all the traveling we did in Italy last year. The service was phenomenal, food was outstanding and perfect wine was recommended. The staff and experience provided made a lasting impression on my son his fiancé and I. What a gem in such a charming and beautiful village. It is a lovely and beautiful ristorante and the food incredible. Grazie to the staff for a lasting memory.

11/06/2025: I got a recommendation for our dinner and the review was great….but!! 10 June 2025, Tuesday, 9.24 pm we been told that kitchen is closed and they cannot help us. It was two restaurant staff ( lady with dark hair and a man). Lady waiter said that they have a big table with the guests (long table in the corner) and they cannot accommodate us. The bar counter on the right was full of dirty glasses and espresso cups. It was 3 tables available. If the owner needs more details about the restaurant I can write more. But don’t tell me please that I went to the wrong place!!!

27/04/2025: I’ve been coming to this place for many years and absolutely love it! The rooms are super clean, quiet and have recently been remodeled. There’s also a large outdoor pool. Don’t forget to book a table at their restaurant for dinner, everything is fresh, homemade, and delicious! The staff is incredibly kind, and the breakfast is great too. Plus, there’s a large, gated parking area.

05/06/2025: Such an inconspicuous entrance, and then such a lovely little dining room with a wonderful atmosphere! The gentleman was attentive and friendly, and the small, fine menu was exciting. We had a fantastic vitello tonnato with three different toppings, an open lasagna, and a fantastic risotto. Afterwards, we took the opportunity to pick up a carton of sparkling wine. Parking is available diagonally across the piazza. We'd be happy to go back anytime!

08/06/2025: Simple but clean place. Really very very good pizza with quality ingredients. The table service does not give five stars because the boy who served us, obviously a novice, made two quite serious mistakes, but which however did not affect the dinner. I highly recommend their pizza, and we will definitely return to try the cuisine as well. Very very honest bill.

28/04/2025: Trattoria storica, ci andavamo anche da piccoli con i genitori. Si mangia molto bene. Cucina del territorio. Ambiente semplice ma tenuto bene e atmosfera bella. Personale gentile, ottimi piatti e vini. Parcheggio davanti al ristorante. Bel posto tra i vigneti di Rovereto di Gavi

30/03/2025: Qui c'è la tradizione del raviolo di Gavi: la bella località dove questa prelibatezza è nata grazie alla famiglia Raviolo. Il ravioli di Gavi sono in assoluto i migliori del mondo e quelli di questa storica Trattoria secondo me sono i migliori fra quelli di Gavi, quindi... onore al merito! Ottimi tutti gli altri piatti, ambiente piacevole, servizio e rapporto qualità prezzo adeguati. Super consigliato.

11/05/2025: Locale sporco e puzzolente, sia nella parte più esterna che in quella interna la sala è pervasa da un odore acre e quasi insopportabile considerando che bisogna consumare dei pasti. Menù scarno e con poca scelta, quasi tutti gli alimenti sono surgelati. Ho optato per un tagliere di salumi tanto per mangiare qualcosa. Ristorante non scelto da me e sinceramente non lo avrei mai scelto.

24/04/2025: Predisposizione dei posti molto semplice come si addice al locale. Pochi fronzoli, molta sostanza. Primo con verdure delizioso e arrivato finalmente molto caldo di modo che lo si possa gustare sempre alla giusta temperatura! Un dolce delizioso allo zabaglione anch'esso caldo con una panna superba. Una bottiglia di spumante La Scolca perfetto e ad un prezzo praticamente pari all'enoteca. Affabile il proprietario, sa intrattenere i clienti. Ottimo!
