A trattoria from another era, renovated but retaining its original spirit and warmth. Good food, truly lovely location. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will definitely be back.

Yesterday I went to the Ai Nebbioli restaurant and had a really good time. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and I felt at home.
The service and food were excellent; the waitress was super kind and skilled. As for the food, I have nothing to complain about; everything was delicious, from appetizers to desserts. I'll be back often.

••Ristorante Ai Nebbioli••
A Hidden Gem Worth the Journey:
Tucked away near the Santuario Nostra Signora della Guardia, Ai Nebbioli sits in what can only be described as the middle of nowhere—and that’s precisely part of its charm. The journey to get here feels like a pilgrimage, but the reward is well worth every winding turn.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped by a relaxing atmosphere that instantly melted away the stresses of daily life. There’s something about this place that feels crafted with genuine love, from the thoughtful touches in the décor to the care evident in every detail.
The food is nothing short of exceptional. I started with a selection of traditional starters: insalata russa, peperoni in bagnet, and finally panissa. The panissa was excellent—perfectly crispy on the outside with a creamy, flavorful interior that set the tone for what was to come.
For the main course, I had the cacio e pepe taglierini all’uovo freschi, which was great—the fresh egg pasta was silky and perfectly coated in that classic Roman sauce. But the real star of the evening was the brasato con polenta. Simply put, it was the best I’ve ever had in my whole life. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the sauce rich and deeply flavoured, paired with creamy polenta that I could have eaten by the bowlful.
And then came dessert. The tiramisu? OMG. Light, perfectly balanced between coffee and cream, with just the right amount of cocoa dusting—it was the kind of dessert that makes you close your eyes and savour every bite.
What truly elevated the experience was the clientele—fellow diners who seemed to appreciate the special nature of this place—and the amazing service that made me feel not just welcomed, but truly cared for. And then there was the waitress. What can I say? Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine smile added something magical to the evening. I may have left a piece of my heart at Ai Nebbioli, and I suspect it wasn’t just because of the food.
If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines excellent cuisine with soul and atmosphere, make the trek to Nebbioli. Some of the best experiences in life are found off the beaten path.
